“Emily was super communicative and helpful! She definitely did a great job checking in on our two cats and keeping us updated whenever she noticed anything out of the ordinary / any questions came up. :)”

“Grace was a wonderful pet sitter while I was out of town! She was timely and gave great updates on my pets, making sure I knew they were well cared for. I will definitely be having Grace come again and recommend her to anyone else who needs a sitter!”

“Claire was absolutely awesome! From the moment she dropped by to meet our dog, to her punctual updates during her visits, she was professional and communicative and clearly a natural caregiver and animal lover. We had some issues with a new medication and our dog's appetite, and Claire was caring and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better caregiver for our dog!”

“Emily was great! Very trustworthy and sent detailed updates and pictures with each check-in. My cat takes a pill twice a day and she also had no problems with that. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Alexis is the best!! I’ve been struggling to find a good sitter for my cat, and I’m super glad I found her. She’s very calm and gentle with my shy/fearful cat. She’s also a great communicator and always keeps me updated on her visits with little notes and lots of photos. I highly recommend her!!”

“We are so grateful we found Coco and Ekko last minute before our out-of-town vacation. They were able to come by within just a few hours on Wednesday for a meet-and-greet, and our cats loved them right away. They took great care of everything and sent us lots of pictures on Saturday when they stopped by to check on and feed the cats, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Reliable, kind, and clearly great with animals. highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for about twelve years now. I have expertise in puppies and elderly dogs as well. I have taken care of dogs with special needs and brand new puppies. My little guy just turned 2.5 this year! I currently work from home so I have plenty of time to attend to pets! I have a little dog as well that I take out to our dog park every few hours and walk at Lake Johnson every morning! I have a friendly puppy that can keep your dog company and play with your pet and I have no problem kennelling a dog or walking as needed.
“We’ve been using Jia for two years now, and I can confidently say she’s amazing—not just with our pups, but overall. It’s incredibly nerve-wracking to find someone you can fully trust in your home while you’re away, but Jia is truly that person. She’s reliable, caring, and absolutely wonderful with our dogs. We’re so grateful to have her!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs since I was 15 and I started taking care of friends’ dogs and cats soon after that. I believe it is important to understand animals and their needs first and foremost. Each animal is unique and I will approach each animal in a way that is appropriate based on your insight. I like to match an animals energy to ensure they feel safe. I work remote, so I have a very flexible schedule this summer to hang out with your pets! Rain or shine I’ll be around unless otherwise indicated on my calendar :) I will always keep an eye on animals to make sure they are eating, drinking, and pottying okay! I am very detail-oriented and will look out for key signs that something is off. I also want to make sure they get enough stimulation and I will make sure they get their energy out!
“Lindsey is super sweet and my pups loves her! She’s very responsive and was perfectly on time and went above and beyond to help out and make them comfy while we were away! Highly recommend!”

About: I am a recent NC State graduate (May 2026) with a B.S. in Zoology and minors in Spanish and Wildlife Sciences. I have been a pet owner my whole life, and currently have a yellow lab named Leo and a calico cat named Scout at my parents house in SC. I have previously also been a proud owner of a guinea pig (Penny) and a crawfish (Big Mama). I am in the Raleigh area until the end of July when my lease is up, and I would love to look after your pets!!! I love animals and have animal care experience from interning at the NC Zoo, BeWild Reptile Rescue, and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences during college. I started babysitting and pet sitting in high school, and would love to continue it while I’m in Raleigh for the summer! As a recent graduate, most of my time is currently spent applying to jobs or organizing the townhouse for my move out in late July! I would love to spend my daytime availability with your fur babies, whether it be in home visits, walks, etc. I live in a townhouse with two kitties (my roommates) and have room in my room or downstairs to accommodate your pets! Our townhouse has extensive green space and a safe neighborhood for daily walks.
About: In 2006, my family adopted an Old English Sheepdog, Zoey. We got Zoey when she was a puppy, and she lived to be 9 before she passed away. In 2013, my dad and step-mom adopted an Australian Shepherd puppy, Molly. Molly was very high energy and needed a job to do, which was stressful for my step-mom so after Zoey passed away, my mom, my sisters, and I had Molly come live with us. Molly was with me for all walks of life, and we lived together just me and her for the past 6 years. As Molly had gotten older, her arthritis became a big deterrent for us, and we adapted as best we could to make her as happy and comfortable as possible. In the years after college, I dog-sat for my family friends and my own friends when they'd travel. It was always enjoyable and a good way to hang out with some pretty cool dogs! They came in all shapes, sizes, and ages! With Maddy the shitzu being 17 and Banor the German Shepherd being almost a year. I've always had pets, so taking care of them has always been a priority for me. It's truly muscle memory at this point. I get up and immediately go to take my dog outside. Before going to bed, I allot 20 extra minutes to take my dog outside. It's second nature. I care for pets by creating a safe environment for them. I always double-check to make sure nothing is on the floor that they could get into. Pushing things back on the counter in case they jump. And making sure they get extra pets before leaving them to go to work.
“Mary took amazing care of our senior dog while we were on vacation! She went above and beyond, taking him for walks, finding things for him to watch on TV, and of course giving him bunches of love! We received regular updates including photos and videos. Mary came by for a meet and greet, and suggested bringing her dog to play with ours while we were gone. Since our dog loves to play with other, she subsequently came back for a second meet and greet to introduce the dogs to each other before we left town. With our permission, she brought her dog over to play with ours while we were away - which our dog loved! Highly recommend, and will definitely hire Mary again!!”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience in veterinary clinic settings, combined with my background in pet sitting and doggy daycare. As a pre-vet student, I have a strong understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety, so your pet is in knowledgeable and attentive hands. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and needs, from energetic puppies who are still learning the ropes to senior pets who require extra patience, gentle handling, and close monitoring. I pay attention to details like changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels, and I’m confident in administering basic care routines as needed. Beyond experience, I truly treat every pet like my own. I focus on creating a safe, loving, and low-stress environment, whether that means active playtime, structured routines, or just extra cuddles and reassurance. Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I’m only in class for about 2 hours a day and work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide consistent care, walks, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m especially available on weekends, where I have open availability for walks, drop-ins, and boarding. I make sure to plan my schedule around the pets in my care so they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and structured routines for feeding, walks, and rest. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal schedule so they feel secure in their familiar space. I follow all instructions closely, whether that includes feeding routines, medications, crate training, or preferred walking routes. I’m experienced with pets of all ages, including puppies who may need extra patience and structure, as well as senior pets who require gentle care and closer monitoring. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so you always know your pet is happy and well cared for.
West pet parents share their Rover experiences
Alexis was fantastic! She kept us updated every day with pictures and info on how our two cats were doing. She’s very responsive to texts as well, which was so appreciated! This was my first time using rover and I’m so, so glad I connected with her! Definitely recommend and will be reaching out the next time we travel!

Mae was an amazing sitter! She was kind, communicative, and incredibly patient, my cat decided to cause some chaos while I was away, and she cleaned up without complaint. She also went above and beyond by handling a wrong address on my account with total understanding. Would absolutely book again!

We have used Nico multiple times over the years and have never had one single thing to complain about. He does a fantastic job with our cats. He cleans up after them and even took the smelly trash out. We always come home to a clean house and happy cats! Most importantly, we never have to worry about them while we are away. I highly recommend Nico.

Alexa was great! She was able to help care for my dogs with short notice. She took great pictures and gave helpful check-in feedback during her visits. I felt like my fur babies were truly cared for while I was away, which gave me the piece of mind I needed. I'd definitely use her services again. Highly recommended!
