About: I have been petsitting and dog walking my neighborhood pets for several years and had the privilege to work as a research technician who helped in husbandry at UNC Chapel Hills Division of Comparative Medicine canine unit. I love making new furry friends and gaining experience to help my pre-veterinary journey as a college student! I am available every day of the week starting June 30th seeing that i am home for the summer from college. I am available during the hours of 8am-8pm and am interested in house sitting. I have a fenced yard for my dog to keep them from getting out and my cat is an inside cat who stay in the upstairs bedrooms

About: Generally, I’m a dog lover. I have a reactive dog who has taught me a lot of patience that I intend to extend if needed. Pet care IS my routine. I work an inconsistent schedule and outside of those work hours, my girl is walked, fed and loves to play frisbee any second she can. For your pet, I’m looking to fit in some part time care. My schedule is flexible with enough notice as well. In a client’s home, I follow the dog’s lead. I the dog needs space, I can give it. If they need to play, I am happy to play. Whatever their schedule, that is my new schedule. I am punctual and thorough.

About: What sets me aside from other sitters? I will love and care for your dog(s) like they are my own. I love taking photos/videos and showing how they’re doing and making sure you as an owner have nothing to worry about. I grew up with dog(s) all my life and have watched so many sweet pets since I was 13. I use to work at a vet hospital in Hawaii so I am familiar with medical care, dog training, giving medications and sticking to a routine. I’m currently a full time behavioral therapist with children with autism. My schedule is pretty much flexible. I can do mornings, afternoons, and evenings. And weekends. I live in an apartment that has two dog parks. I have a roommate with a dog that I take care of. We go to the park and the lake and we go on long runs.
“Kim is so amazing. I rated her 5 stars. She has great communication and service. She first watched my cat for a few days last august and then again this weekend. My cat is often timid around new people but she warmed up to Kim very quickly! Plus the rover cards that Kim sends are always so good and reassuring. This isn’t directly related to cat sitting, but last fall there was a mass shooting in my neighborhood and she reached out to ask if we were okay (thankfully we were) and that was very thoughtful and appreciated. Katie is absolutely fabulous. She's been visiting my two pups daily for the past month or so due to a crazy busy period at work. She's unbelievably punctual and utterly reliable. I get pics with happy updates on the daily, and I have 100% confidence that she's taking phenomenal care of my precious pups. One of my pups is a ball playing fanatic -- he would play until he dropped -- and one of things I so appreciate about Katie is how mindful she is about when he's had enough as the days get warmer. There's no doubt she truly cares, and I could tell from our first meet and greet that she loves animals and has a very kind demeanor. Thank you Luka for taking good care of our kitties while we were away. Luka is great with cats. We have one outgoing playful girl and one shy girl. Luka played and interacted with both of them which was great. She picked up on small details like letting my shy girl lick the spoon. This is an enrichment for her and allows her to be closer to people.
