Not only was she prompt each and every visit, my grand dog, who barks continually at people she doesn’t know, actually didn’t bark every time she came, and even began to feel comfortable enough to play with her toys. My super shy senior dog also seemed very happy from the pictures I got and I think my other dog was ready just to go home with her! I got detailed reports of pertinent happenings, ie fireworks going off on Christmas night which scared them, and really cute pictures of what they were doing. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Katherine again and feel very happy to have found someone I can trust fully with my fur babies. She was also very comfortable with my house alarm system and didn’t seem scared to operate it like so many other people I have had watch my dogs. About: I’ve shared my life with all sorts of critters, (cats, dogs, hamsters, toads, about every stray imaginable) for many years and have always loved caring for animals. After losing my own pet three years ago, I chose not to become a full-time pet owner again because my husband and I travel frequently. However, I really miss the companionship of animals and the joy that comes from caring for them. Pet sitting allows me to care for pets while helping owners feel confident that their furry family members receive the care they deserve. I treat every pet with the same kindness, patience, and affection I would give my own. I currently work part time, and have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule in order to help take care of all pets where additional care is needed. Each animal is its own individual, so I like to take the time to know and understand what the personal needs and preferences are of both my clients and their pets.

About: What sets me apart is my experience with dogs at every stage of life—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and care. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training like crate routines, leash walking, and simple commands, and I pay close attention to each dog’s unique needs and personality. I’m reliable, communicative, and make sure owners feel at ease with regular updates, so you always know your dog is in good hands. I’m currently a full time student at East Carolina but I do have a lot of online classes so I have plenty of time during the day to watch after your pet! I can do Monday and Friday anytime after 11 am and I can do whatever time Tuesday and Thursday. Very flexible schedule so I can work around your pets needs! I primarily care for pets in my client’s home, where they’re most comfortable and can stick to their normal routine. I make sure to follow feeding schedules, provide walks, playtime, and lots of attention, while also keeping the home clean and organized. I can accommodate short stays in my apartment for a few hours if needed, but I focus on in-home care to ensure pets feel safe and stress-free.
