About: I have 18 years of experience taking care of pets including large and small dogs, puppy and senior dogs, birds, cats and fish. I currently take care of 2 dogs in my family, one large and one small, and the large one has special needs. I have experience administering oral medication and subcutaneous injections, and have had many years of reading domestic animal behavior . I have treated dogs and cats abroad at a shelter in Thailand so I have some experience with shy and nervous animals as well. During my visits, I like to focus on mental enrichment and some fun energetic play time! I’m available for In House Sitting (long term and short term), and available generally 9am-6pm each day, depending on your pups needs. I am always willing to be flexible and will try to find the best time that fits your needs! I make sure that your pet’s needs are met while giving them some love and attention while you are away! Walks are my favorite, but I also enjoy chilling on a couch snuggling and watching a show. I will also clean up if any messes are made (as a pet parent I know this all too well).

About: Like many here, furry family members have perpetually been in my life. Additionally, I have extensive experience with pets outside of my home. I recently left my career of 5yrs managing a high capacity pet boarding facility to return to college. My first job was caretaker at a private animal rescue and have volunteered at many others. I gained experience with a myriad of creatures including: dogs, cats, small creatures, horses, and even a pet pig. Between those jobs, I would regularly petsit as well. Working with animals on both a large and small scale has given me experience in handling skittish pets, senior pets, emergency situations, medication administration, and more. Animals have always been a passion of mine, and I hope to meet some of your fur family members! I am a pre-med student. At the moment, my schedule is in a transition period as the new semester kicks off. I'm a full time student and I attend clinical hours, while I'm not with your pup. Send me a message if you want to know my most up to date availability. ***RETURNING PET PARENTS*** I do have many of my days manually blocked off. I am not accepting new pups during those times, but I may be able to still accommodate your fur family members. It's good to see you again, and feel free to reach out. I live near many parks, trails, and have a dog park in my neighborhood. Hiking is a hobby of mine, and I would gladly take your fur family member on an adventure with me. Safety is a priority for me, so the method of securing and leashing your pet will be discussed on a case by case basis. For example, I will ensure that a loose collar is adjusted, harness is fitted, and/or skittish pets have a backup system.

“Paige was amazing! Frankie was very comfortable with her and she was able to get him to walk the entire complex which was a miracle as he has bad anxiety. I highly recommend.”

“Toni was wonderful with Cooper! The communication was great - exactly what I needed and the pictures she captured of Cooper made me feel like I was with him even while being away from him. Cooper seemed happy and well taken care of when we returned home, I will definitely be reaching out to Toni again!”

About: I love animals and have always had dogs growing up. I currently have 3 pups of my own. I rescued 2 huskies when they were approximately 1 year old and have had them for about 5 years now. I also have a beagle mix, whom I have had since he was 8 weeks old, he is now 7 years old. They are all important members of our family. My professional animal care experience began when I was in college. I worked at a few doggy daycares during this time and over the summer after graduation. This was when I realized that taking care of animals who are not your own is honestly hard work (all cuddles aside). It is extremely important to understand that, just like us, all animals have their own personalities and preferences, therefore it is important to listen and understand them to ensure the best care for them. Some of my responsibilities at the doggy daycares & boarding included: -Managing safe playtime between groups of 10-20 dogs at a time -Arranging and implementing small group play or solo playtime for dogs who were lower energy and/or did not enjoy the large group play -Feeding & Filling up Water bowls (dogs & cats) -Cleaning up accidents (dogs & cats) -Bathing & Brushing -Cleaning litter box/changing litter -Cuddles (dogs & cats) -Rotating cats in & out of crates for individual play time with employees (or as preferred by cat/owner) I am currently only able to offer pet care Friday-Sunday as I do have a full time job during the week. My availability will be more open during the summer as I will be home more. My priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your pets. How I care for your pet will largely depend on the information/preferences you provide and what your fur baby seems to prefer while in my care. I do not have a fenced in yard, however I do have a 10x10 in the backyard that can be utilized if your fur baby likes to catch a breeze and lay in the sun. Otherwise your pup will be able to stay indoors. I also live in a neighborhood that provides a safe area to go on walks without being on a main road with a lot of traffic passing by.

“Shaquilla is awesome with my puppy. I highly recommend her. She had been walking Cash for a little more than a month now. The best part is she takes him to a dog park near the house.”

“Tori was available last-minute and took great care of Emerson, as always. She leaves detailed notes about what she does with him and what he does. I feel confident saying that Emerson is in good hands with her.”

About: What truly sets me apart is my deep understanding of pet care, built on both personal experience and professional exposure. Having a senior dog who requires anxiety medication, I am exceptionally comfortable and skilled in administering medications and providing gentle reassurance to anxious pets. You can trust that your furry family member will receive the calm and attentive care they need while you're away. My background extends beyond typical pet ownership. My experience working in the quarantine building at the NC Aquarium provided me with invaluable hands-on exposure to the specific needs of a diverse range of animals, from reptiles and fish to birds and invertebrates. This unique experience means I'm well-equipped to care for even your more unconventional companions! Furthermore, having raised my senior dog from a puppy, I am confident and experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments, from energetic youngsters to beloved seniors. I genuinely love all creatures and am passionate about providing them with the best possible care. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine, offering a consistent and attentive experience for your beloved companion. As a college student with a flexible schedule (typically around two classes per day), I have dedicated time slots throughout the day to provide the care your pet needs. My mornings are often free, allowing for early walks, playtime, and feeding. My mid-day break provides an excellent opportunity for check-ins, potty breaks, and extra attention. In the evenings, I have ample time for longer walks, cuddles, and ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable before bedtime. This flexibility isn't just about having free time; it means I can tailor my schedule to your pet's specific needs and preferences, ensuring they receive consistent care, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. You can be confident that your furry friend will have a reliable and engaging routine while in my care. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to maintain their familiar routine and ensure they feel safe and secure in their own environment. I understand the importance of consistency and following your specific instructions meticulously. My care includes: Following Your Instructions: Adhering to your pet's feeding schedule, medication administration, exercise routine, and any other specific needs. Potty Breaks/Walks: Providing timely opportunities for your dog to relieve themselves and get exercise, according to your instructions. Playtime and Affection: Spending quality time with your pet, offering cuddles, playtime, and attention to keep them happy and engaged. Home Security Checks (for house sitting): Ensuring your home is secure and reporting any issues. Regular Updates: Providing you with photos and updates on your pet's well-being so you can have peace of mind. Respecting Your Home: Treating your home with the utmost care and leaving it as I found it. I am dedicated to providing reliable, trustworthy, and loving care for your pets in the comfort of their own home.

About: I have all the time to love and take care of your animal (child). I've watched and cared for friends and family dogs for years but now I have the time to do it for my community. If you need your dog to be energized and then tired out for when you come home. I'm Your girl! I take care of puppies and can provide a safe space for your senior dogs. I look for the dog to give me signs of what they need and I'm excited to create some amazing experiences with you pet. I bartend on the side so my schedule is pretty open. If I'm available on the calendar which is very likely, then I'll be there. No questions asked I love my dog, Roan, so much. She would probably say too much which is why I need to start bringing that love and care to other dogs everywhere.

About: Hello! My name is Jess and I anyone who knows me will tell you that I really love all dogs. I am very active and would love to walk with your pup (or pups) for as long as they desire. I will spend plenty of time with them, whether that means playing Frisbee or mellowing out and cuddling with them on the couch, and make sure their needs are all taken care of. My fiancé and I have an adorable 9-year-old Carolina dog, and I've had family dogs throughout my entire life/roommates and friends with dogs that I helped take care of, so I really just want to hang out with your dog! My summer availability is very flexible. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend :) I work in healthcare and have a couple of months off in the summer before beginning a new job! “Tommy has been my dog walker for two years and has really helped me and my dog through a tough, transitional time (new home, new city, new schedule). He has years of experience with animals and I appreciate his knowledge and judgment. He's reliable, trustworthy, and stays in communication with you. Thea C.
“I’ve known Thea for 12 years, and she’s someone I can always count on. From the moment she met my dog, she completely fell in love with him and fully embraced the “dog owner” lifestyle—despite not having one of her own at the time! We’ve taken him on endless walks, brewery visits, and even traveled to new states together. She quickly became “Aunty Thea” to us. Whether I had a long shift at work, needed to travel, or attended a non-dog-friendly event, I could always drop him off with Thea and never once worry—he was always in the best hands. She recently adopted her own pup, who has endless energy, and it’s been amazing to watch how dedicated she’s been. She’s enrolled her in agility classes, extended their daily walks, and even signed up for mentally stimulating activities to make sure her dog gets the attention and care she needs. Thea is incredibly dependable, trustworthy, and genuinely loved by all of our friends’ pets. If you’re looking for a sitter or a walker who will treat your dog like family—Thea is your girl!”

Jessica C.
“Jessica is such a wonderful dog sitter and walker! She has helped me with my current one year old dog as well as my previous dog who was 14 years old. She is full of love and care for the pets she is with and is sure to send many pictures throughout their stay to let you know how happy they are! 10000% recommend :)”
