About: Hi, my name is Jess and I live in Hoboken. I’ve watched my neighbors dogs for years whenever they go on vacation. I’ve also taken care of multiple friends’ cats whenever they go away. I love cats and dogs, especially since I work from home we can both keep each other company. I have experience administering oral medicine, watching elderly cats, and pets with quirky schedules/habits. I work from home full time so can be available any day/any time. I can drop in any time or stay over since my schedule is flexible, whatever you need. I let cats and dogs come to me and sniff me out before petting and do not pick up any animals unless the owner confirms they are friendly and enjoy that.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and had 4 dogs at a time for most of that. I’m experienced with senior dogs as well as puppy training. I train dogs with maximum positive reinforcement. My dog/assistant grew up with elderly yorkies and is eager to lend a paw. I’m a freelance motion designer, part time e-learning professor and I work from home on my own schedule. Kaitlin was so great house sitting with our rescue dog Gus while we were away. She was super responsive as we got close to our trip. Gus can be a handful with certain quirks he has, and I left her a crazy long document with all of the things to keep in mind (along with basic care instructions) and she read it ahead of time, asked great questions, and used my tips when needed during her stay. We received tons of updates every day and things couldn't have gone better. Our place was clean and well taken care of while we were gone. Wonderful experience thank you Kaitlin!
Jess was an amazing sitter while I was away for two weeks on a trip with my family. She provided consistent updates and was always quick to respond whenever I had questions or needed her to check on something. She followed my detailed care instructions closely, from feeding my cat spoonfuls of wet food as requested to thoughtfully turning on the AC during a hot day. Amanda did a terrific job looking after our lovely dog Killy. She spent the time to understand Killy's habits, medications and everything needed in case of any eventuality. Killy loved her from first sight and they spent 9 happy days together. Killy was extremely well cared for with loads of long walks and the occasional treat. Amanda also kept us informed with all the details of their adventures day to day. All notable since Amanda stepped in at the last minute when our previous dog sitter was forced to cancel due to a family emergency. I would highly recommend and would certainly use Amanda again in the future.
