“Jebraune is our go to cat sitter now. She is respectful of our home and spoils our two cats! We get timely updates and she goes above and beyond to ensure the cats are happy. She has even been helping us train our cats since one is new to the house. Thank you!!”

“Marlene was wonderful ~ Took great care of my pups and home for housesitting, went above and beyond by taking them on more walks than I asked for, and leaving the house very clean! Very communicative and sent me pics and updates for my entire trip which made me feel more at ease😁 Thanks so much Marlene!”

“Morgan did a great job at taking care of my senior dog and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout. I felt at ease knowing that my girl was in good hands and being well taken care of. She also left my apartment very clean and followed all the instructions I had left. I know my dog Sadie will be very happy when I book with her again in the future!”

“Once again Joshua provided exceptional white-glove level service for my pet. And my pet is no easy task; he gets nervous around people and other dogs, and Joshua stepped up and took his time and put both me and my pet at ease with his patience and professionalism. “Denise is a blessing! I have no words to describe how grateful I am and lucky to have found Denise during the holidays. While no one was available on this app, Denise was flexible and kind to watch my senior dog while I was traveling to see my family for a week. I highly recommend Denise because she demonstrates everything that you hope for while you are away: she sends daily updates makes you feel that your dog is safe, she is trustworthy and honest, she is very flexible and communicates clearly. “Natalia was great with our boys and took great care of our home. She looked after them for a week while we were in Greece and sent frequent updates — our kitties love her. She was very attentive to their needs and when we had a bit of an issue with our fridge too. Will definitely be seeking her services again in future.”

About: Well to begin with, I have experience walking numerous dogs since the day I was born. My love for animals in general is immense, contributing to the positive well being of animals is my passion and being able to focus that into a career is something I would have never imagined simply by making sure dogs go when they need too. It all began by simply watching over dogs, and then it lead into feeding them and eventually I took it upon myself to walk them. The first dogs I took care of was a chunky miniature pincher and a 70 lbs pit bull terrier, I am not prejudice towards animals specifically dogs since they are in my field and I have years of experience with different breeds of all sorts. As I am a new LLC on the rise I am in the midst of obtaining my ARC certifications for the health and general knowledge of animals, considering on a professional level I take this very accordingly and not enough dog walking companies supply the same for their walkers. Being trustworthy, reliable, respectable, caring and cautious are few of the many traits I carry and endorse for my business in which I believe are critical in the dog walking business.Every dog is unique, just like a person I would not want to disrespect their space and have them catch a bad vibe from me. I like to make sure I build comfort with the dogs I work with considering not many may be comfortable with letting someone unfamiliar walk them, my specialty. Walking dogs for me personally is never something I like to do in a haste, I enjoy in executing my job correctly and efficiently. I make sure every walk is special at times they come back home with a better attitude than the dogs left in. My main goal for the dogs are exercise, safety, fun and making sure they use the bathroom enough. I am a full time dog walker and lifetime animal lover so meeting accommodations for him or her is never a problem. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile hopefully I gain the opportunity and trust of being able to walk your furry child! Taking care of pups is my daily life. I have my own pups so it comes to me naturally, to want to take care of others! I do this full time! First of all, i make sure the pup is as comfortable as possible make them feel as if the parents are home. I walked them as many times as possible, keep all their needs up to date & give lots of love.
“Anita is my go to sitter! She is super responsive, sends lots of photos, communicates constantly, and has always been very reliable. I’ve been working with her for over two years now and has been such a blessing to me and my dog’s lives! Anita is the absolute best!”

“Alex came to our home to sit with our Ridgeback. He was on time and very attentive to Bodhi. He sent us videos and pictures throughout the day. Bodhi is a reserved dog but Alex made very effort to win him over. I would highly recommend him and will certainly use him again.”
“Vive was so professional and took such good care of my pups! She sent me a lot of updates which kept me relaxed during my trip. I was sure my dogs were in good hands! She kept my house clean and even washed her bed sheets and made the bed with the clean sheets before she left. I will definitely book with her again in the future and totally recommend her to anyone.”

“Caryssa provided exceptional care for our dog during her stay. She is very trustworthy and communicated so quickly. Her attention to detail and genuine love for animals were evident throughout. We highly recommend her services! We already booked her for the future!”

Shriya was an amazing cat sitter! She stayed at my apartment for about a week and gave detailed updates everyday and sent lots of pictures and videos throughout the day! My cat immediately became comfortable with her. She was also so neat and left the place cleaner than before. Would definitely recommend and rebook!

Amelia is wonderful!! My cats are so happy and healthy, and my apartment was left completely clean. She was very responsive. I asked a lot of her, because one of my cats was dealing with constipation - Amelia was even attentive enough to pay attention to my cat’s bathroom habits to help reassure me while I was away. I would highly recommend Amelia as a pet sitter!

Angelina is great! My dog and cat both seemed happy and unstressed when I got home, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog is deaf and reactive to other dogs, and Angelina did such a great job with her. She has experience with deaf dogs, which was really reassuring, and she was also very transparent and communicative about anything that came up. She was also one of the only pet sitters who has been able to get my cat to come out and actually hang out with her, which is amazing! Angelina was responsive, flexible with arrival and leaving times, and overall really easy to work with. I’ll definitely be rebooking her!!

Katie did a wonderful job watching my pup for five days! She sent lots of pictures and took Jeni on several walks, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. She was not only kind and caring with my dog, but also incredibly trustworthy and respectful while staying in my apartment. I came home to a happy pup and a spotless home. I would absolutely recommend Katie to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter, and I'd be happy to book with her again!

She was great! Our dog Jack is a 60lb Lab and he can be picky with who he likes to be around. Ruby came over for a meet and greet the night before. She was super friendly and she gave Jack some treats to get him to calm down quickly. She asked us our preferences and watched our dog for about a week and stayed at our apartment. She left everything very clean and sent us pictures every day. We highly recommend and would work with her again!

Daniela watched over my cat for over a week. She house-sat too. I received regular updates from her, she seems to really enjoy animals. My cat has a thyroid issue and requires a crushed up pill in each of her meals. Daniela did this with no issues. Highly recommend!

We had to find a dog sitter at the last minute, and we couldn’t have been luckier. She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and made the whole process completely stress-free. Throughout the stay, she sent lots of photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and showed how happy and well cared for our dog was. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.
Chana took excellent care of my two cats, she stayed overnight with them between house guests while I was away. She is a responsible and caring cat sitter (and house sitter). During my time away she later returned to for a five day extended sit, which was also well done. I highly recommend her as a cat sitter.

Jenica was great with our beagle Wrigley! She stayed at our apartment with him for the weekend and left our apartment spotless. She took great care of our anxious pup and updated us throughout the weekend letting us know he was doing well! We would definitely have Jenica care for Wrigley again!

Mo was wonderful! We were nervous to leave our senior rescue dog behind for a trip because he has some physical handicaps and emotional quirks, but Mo was reassuring, communicative, and we got him back better than when we left him. Will not hesitate to book Mo again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Guttenberg on Rover is $81.32 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 19,114 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Guttenberg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Guttenberg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Guttenberg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Guttenberg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
