About: {Please note I have removed Housesitting from my services through 2025 for a health recovery. Thank you for understanding! ❤️🩹🐶} I have been Petsitting and housesitting for friends and family for more than 25 years, so I figured, why not make new friends and continue the tradition? It’s one of my greatest joys in life, getting to know and play with new puppers and their people!! I’ve cared for many types and breeds of dogs, cats, and exotic animals (snakes, tortoises, lizards, turtles, tarantulas, exotic fish, chickens, etc.) and all types of pet personalities - shy, rambunctious, skittish, lazy, grouchy, energetic, and everything in-between. From trained purebreds to rescues who have been abused or neglected and need special attention, I have worked with and enjoyed them all. I’ve administered meds, cared for sick pups and kitties, and taken my charges to the vet when needed. I could be trained to care for your pigs, goats, sheep, horses, etc. I travel a good deal and understand the importance of being able to have your non-human child well looked after and not have to worry about them while you’re out of town, or even if you’re just at work. I work remotely, so your pet gets potty breaks often, and they have a human around almost all the time. We go for small walks around a delightful neighborhood when desired, or longer walks/hikes on nearby trails if the bigger pups are game. There are no off-limits areas in our house- my pug Napoleon slept *under the covers* in the big bed he believed he owned - but if you have different rules, they will be enforced as dictated. Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I am excited to meet you - and your human friends ;)! Working remotely from my home office provides plenty of opportunity for potty breaks and puppy love in-between client interactions on the phone. It also allows me to stay full-time in your home with your pets if overnight sits are your preference. All that is needed is a strong internet connection and a comfortable, quiet place in your home to work. I have a gated yard in the front but can take little pups on-leash if there’s any concern. There’s also a small potty area in the back yard with a full fence for off-leash outside time. I can accommodate a small crate in my home, if desired. For overnights in your home, an initial meet-n-greet will be required prior to the first engagement to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.

“Joa was great! Chill vibe, very attentive, sent pics and progress reports daily, and made went the extra mile to stay a little later when we wouldn't be back until later than planned.”

About: I’m very attuned and sensitive to animal body language. Dogs tend to love me at first sight—and the feeling is mutual. 😂 I’m like the cool auntie who’s always ready to play, but I am also super observant and can see when a dog is tired, overstimulated, cranky, etc. I don’t take animal behavior personally. I just watch and respond. Until the hurricane I was volunteering at Brother Wolf, walking every kind of dog from the super leash-pull-y to the “just want to sit in the shade and never go home.” I have my own business as an editor and copywriter. I make my own schedule and often work from home, so short notice could work IF it’s in the Weaverville/N. Asheville area. With more advance notice, I could clear my schedule or plan it around your pet care needs. As much as I’d love to offer boarding services for dogs, I have a sweet cat at home who would not appreciate this. :) Instead, give me all your intricately detailed instructions, your pet’s weird quirks, and whatever other anxious pet-parent stuff you want me to know. I will hold it all, follow it to the letter, be so sweet to your baby—plus I’ll send you photos to keep you updated. I also like to leave a note when I’m done to let you know how we did. If your lil’ buddy needs more constant companionship, I can bring my work to your place! I don’t even need WiFi, I can hotspot from my phone. 🙌🏽

About: Although lacking official pet care experience I have helped family members and friends with pet sitting and walking. I have also aided my mom with raising two puppies to full adult dogs and took care of one senior dog (family dogs). I grew up in the country of upstate new york and have loved animals since forever, all the down to the little guys like salamanders and frogs. I volunteer at the Charlotte Humane society when I can and have helped out cleaning kennels and have undergone safety training videos. I work Monday through Friday but outside of work I tend to have a pretty open and flexible schedule. My open hours are Friday afternoon through the weekend to start and then as I get more comfortable I'll open more hours up. As long as I get 24 hours notice I can figure anything out! I grew up with both a golden retriever and a Pyrenees, so I have taken care of more go with the flow dogs and then as well dogs that tend to have a more stubborn side. I read animals very well, have watched many behavioral video's, and know how to interact when animals might be more on the ornery side. I care for any animal as if they were my own which includes lot's of belly rubs, pets, and baby talk. I am an avid rule follower and won't stray from any instructions given.

Samantha P.Star Sitter
“I have known Samantha for over 20 years, and she has consistently demonstrated an innate love for animals and knowledge of the individual needs of each. Sam cared for my beagle, Pogo, on multiple occasions, starting when Pogo was a young, traumatized adoptee, continuing all the way through the senior years. She established a trusting relationship with Pogo early on and became one of her favorite people. Months could pass between time spent together, and just the sight of Sam walking to the front door would send Pogo into excited trembles and whimpers of anticipation. Sam was present near the end, as Pogo became increasingly uncomfortable, learning how to administer pain management injections and providing gentle love during Pogo’s waking hours. Tail wags were becoming less and less frequent, but she still had a few saved up for her favorite visitor. I will always be grateful for the love she so freely gave to my sweet dog, even when she was young troublemaker, and I will unconditionally trust her with the next dog as well. Anyone with a pet would be lucky to have someone as passionate and loving as Sam, and I highly recommend her for any opportunity that allows an animal to be entrusted to her care.”

Dara W.

“Thanks for taking care of our babies. We found them in good shape. I appreciate your diligence and sending pictures every day. Would definitely hire again for a future trip.”

Isabelle C.
“Isabelle is an animal lover through and through - dogs, cats, fish, cows, ducks, etc. She has cat sat (and plant sat) for me many times and always goes above and beyond. She doesn’t just feed them and leave them, she spends time with them and sends amazing photos (if you want them). Isabelle will be the perfect fit for any pet sitting needs!”

Weaverville cat parents share their Rover experiences
Bradley has done drop-in visits for our cat, Fern, twice now and both at last minutes notice. Fern is always happy to see her and well cared for. It’s so nice to get pictures of their play time. She even helped out with watering our garden while we were away. Thank you Bradley!

Haley is THE best!!! She was so great with my babies and patient when my dog was a little uneasy on her first visit! Always on time and responds to texts in a timely manner. She was willing to adjust to a changing schedule as well. I will definitely be requesting her again and always! She deserves more than a 5-star review!!!

Skyler was fantastic - honest, conscientious, and always keeping us informed. She regularly updated us with pictures and promptly alerted us to anything out of the ordinary, which we really appreciated. We felt confident knowing that the cats were well cared for, and they were happy and relaxed upon our return. We highly recommend Skyler and would not hesitate to have her back in the future!
