About: Hi there! I'm Montana, an animal-lover located in Washington Heights. I know that our sweet animals are part of our families, and I treat them as such: lots of eye contact, love, cuddles, and attention. I'm a pet-whisperer, and can not only converse with dogs and cats when they're in a good mood, but can also calm them down in moments of stress or anxiety. I've raised two dogs from puppies and three cats from kittens throughout my life, as well as taken care of multiple friends' pets while they were away. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs and cats as well as young rapscallions. I love walking, and look forward to adventures with your pal. I'm very aware of how much an animal's mental state affects their life and happiness, and I make sure to never be on my phone or distracted when I'm with a furry friend. My work in a kennel has made me especially confident in my abilities to cater to different needs, (cats/dogs, temperaments, quirks), multi-task, and stay on my feet. I raised both my dogs from puppyhood, and have helped my older dog, Grace, adjust to being unable to use one of her legs. Through this I have learned how to modify walks by taking lots of rests (or using her wagon!) as well as bandage her legs and put them in a brace.
