“Maisie and Joe were great. They looked after Boris so well. He’s 12 and it’s the first time he’s been left with someone other than family. They kept me up to date with pictures and looked after Boris and my home incredibly well. Thank you both.”

“Marina was great with my 2 dogs. She kept them really happy and entertained throughout the day. I would definitely recommend using her no matter the age of your dog. She is very accommodating and lovely to arrange dog care with. Thank you very much Marina xx”

“I don't even know where to start!!! I've never left Elsie alone for any length of time before, so I was very nervous about leaving her, let alone leaving her with someone neither of us knew, however we met Steff and that was that, Elsie decided! Each evening, I got a lovely update and lots of pictures, which really put my mind at ease. Steff was great with Elsie, and Elsie certainly seemed to approve of Steff, and really that's the most important thing! I cannot recommend Steff enough, and would absolutely trust her again to babysit 🩷”

About: I love looking after pets and care greatly for them. I ensure I get to know the pet as well as I can to give them the best possible care they could ask for so that the owner and pet trust me. I am currently a university student so have time to take care of your pet in the mornings and then again to check in later on after university to ensure your pet is well looked after and cared for and that they get lots of lovely cuddles. I ensure I know the security of the home and check with the owner about locking up at night so that they feel they can trust me in their own home.

“Rosie took excellent care of my dog, Bernie, who has a lot of anxiety around new places and people. She kept me updated throughout and really helped her feel comfortable. I’ll definitely trust her to look after Bernie again and highly recommend her.”

“Serena was fab . Our boy very happy spending time with her . Two long walks together , lots of ball throwing and tickles under the chin . Already booked again . She sent lots of videos to us during the days which was reassuring as we’d not left him with anyone before .”

About: Hey, I’m a 24-year-old animal lover who just genuinely loves spending time with furry friends! I grew up with bunnies (12 wonderful years of hopping happiness) and have looked after family dogs, cats, and even horses. My golden retriever niece is my best walking buddy, and I can’t wait to meet your pets too! I work from home most days, so I’m flexible for walks and visits throughout the week (and weekends too). I’m in the office Wednesdays and Thursdays, but other than that, I have plenty of time for your furry friends! I’ll come to your home to care for your pets where they feel happiest and most comfortable. I always follow any instructions you provide to make sure they get the care they’re used to — whether that’s meal times, walks, playtime, or snuggles. For dog walks, I keep safety a top priority by avoiding busy or unsafe areas.

About: I know it can be difficult finding the right person to take great care of your pets and home, often at short notice. Although I'm relatively new to Rover, you can trust that you'll be really happy with the service I provide. With regular updates and the peace of mind that everything is just as you require. I love cats and dogs and looking forward to meeting yours. I'm generally available Monday to Friday to suit with some flexibility at weekends. I can also do overnight, early mornings or later in the evening where required. You can rest assured that I will treat your home and your pets as if they were my own, with the upmost care and attention.

About: I have experience in looking after dogs from the puppy stage to senior stage and understand the needs for dogs of different ages! I have the patience to teach commands and some tricks! I am a university student who is currently home for summer, so i have all the time in the world to look after and play with your pets! I have my own dog at home so I understand how to create a safe environment for a dog. I am prepared to follow the feeding and walking schedules as set out by owners.

“Olivia was excellent with our 2 beagles, they took to her really well. She communicated throughout and sent us pictures. She informed us if there were any issues and took really good care of them. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using her again.”

About: Hi! Me and my partner have a very friendly and dog-loving pomsky, Kai, who is just desperate for some doggy company on his walks. We are therefore available for walks, doggy day-care and overnight care for other friendly and sociable dogs! We both work completely from home and any fur baby would never be left alone for extended periods. We live in a house with an enclosed garden and we fully take advantage of the beautiful countryside walks around us. Being a husky cross, Kai is quite high energy so goes out on at least an hour walk each day, but we venture further afield on weekends. Any visiting dog can do the same (or can be scooped up and carried by me if little legs get tired!). Besides Kai, I myself have had a (somewhat shy and clingy!) Cockapoo whereas my partner, Duncan, has experience raising a boisterous and energetic Patterdale-Staffy cross, so we have experience with a range of doggy personalities and love them all!! Both Duncan and I work fully from home, so we are available throughout the day for walks and tuggy. We can set our own work schedule so we tend to take a couple of hours out of the day to give our dog a long walk at lunch time. We have an enclosed garden so your dog will be able to sniff about (and help Kai with his quest to dig up our entire garden...).

“Abbie looked after my 4 months old cat whilst I was away for the weekend. She was patient, caring and provided updates. Communication during the booking process was excellent. I would happily leave my boy with Abbie again 🙂🌷”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, caring for them since I was a child. My love for dogs grew even stronger as I helped in my family’s dog training and display business, where I learned firsthand the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog’s unique personality. I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks! Whether your dog loves a long adventure or a slow stroll, I’m dedicated to keeping their tails wagging and giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I am a restaurant manager so I work in varying patterns of shifts, meaning my schedule is flexible and can be worked around the needs of your dog! I treat every pup as if they were my own, making sure they feel secure, loved, and cared for in your absence. I’m committed to keeping a safe environment—whether it’s on walks, playtime, or relaxing at home—while respecting your house and routines. You can trust that your dog (and your home) will always be in caring, responsible hands.

“We reached out to Jennie for a last minute housesit while my partner and I popped out for the evening! Jennie was absolutely amazing with both our cat & dog and we instantly felt at ease leaving her in our home to care for our fur babies! We will definitely be using Jennie again and will be recommending her to all our dog friends locally! 5 stars from us! X”

“Rafi thoroughly enjoyed her time with Emily and we shall be booking with her again. Friendly, reliable, excellent communication both before and during, a natural with our somewhat timid girl - everything you could ask for.”

“Keiran was great with my two dogs Molly and Mylo, he kept us updated regularly and they seemed to have a great time with him! He accommodated late notice as we had another sitter cancel which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend him and his service and will rebook with him again if we need dog care! Thanks Keiran!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have dog sat many times. I have completed puppy training classes and looked after senior dogs too, both happily. I work full time in town but I have evenings and weekends free to help you where I can! I am available 6-9pm daily and would happily spend that with dogs! I own a lovely Victorian home close to the river which is full of character but not precious. I have an enclosed garden and lovely neighbours.

About: I used to work at the local dog shelter, where I was responsible for feeding, walking and socialising the dogs, as well as cleaning out the kennels. I also have experience walking dogs as well as dog sitting overnight, and administering medication when needed. I also have experience looking after cats. We had two of our own, since then I have also looked after friends cats for them while they are away. I work for the National Trust, but I work Sundays, so I have either the Tuesday or the Friday off during the week. I am also free weekday evenings and weekends. I have a spacious living room/kitchen diner area as well as a fenced front and back garden. If you would like me to visit your pet in your own home I have references from previous pet-sitting for reliability with security.

“Lexi was absolutely fantastic with my two dogs. They can be a bit of a handful being beagles but she managed perfectly with them. They were really calm when we got back which is a really good sign that they enjoyed her stay. Will certainly be happy to use Lexi again and for the foreseeable future.”

“Sylvie is truly one of the most kindhearted, compassionate, and reliable people I know. Over the years, she has looked after my dogs on numerous occasions, and every time, she has gone above and beyond to make sure they were happy, safe, and well-cared for. Sylvie has a natural connection with animals that is immediately apparent. My dogs always light up when they see her, which speaks volumes about her warmth and the trust she builds with them. She has a calm, attentive presence and an incredible ability to understand and respond to each pet’s unique needs, whether it’s keeping up with an energetic dog on a long walk or providing gentle care for a more timid pup. What sets Sylvie apart is her dedication. She treats every pet as if they were her own, making sure they are not only cared for but truly loved. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets with kindness, patience, and attention to detail, Sylvie is the perfect choice. I couldn’t recommend her more highly for Rover.com—she’s everything a pet parent could want in a sitter or dog walker.”

Kate B.Star Sitter
“Kate is the most amazing pet sitter. She has looked after our cat on numerous occasions and always done the most fantastic job. I have always felt I could go away on holiday completely relaxed and reassured that all was in safe hands. Our cat was once ill whilst we were away and Kate dealt with the situation, taking her to the vet and administering meds and then, sensitively told us once everything was sorted so that we weren't worried. I am quite particular when it comes to pet care so for me to endorse Kate really is a great recommendation!”
