“Jess did a fantastic job looking after my 2 cats Winnie and Zara for a week, and also kept the flat in lovely condition. Winnie is a young lively boisterous girl and Zara is a senior lady and Jess met both their needs with no issues at all. I returned to happy cats!”

“Good communication over message and we’re very grateful that Mark was able to drop in on our boys last min after our sitter cancelled. He was very flexible, and good with cats which is rare to find on Rover. The visit went well and our boys were happy when we arrived back home. Thanks Mark; we recommend Mark to others looking for a cat sitter and hope to book again.”

About: I have always had family dogs since very small, aside from making some extra money, I miss being around dogs very much! I’ve trained my own dogs since I was about 14, taking one of my dogs to dog shows since I was about 15! My family dogs are now 1 and 14 so I have trained puppies and cared for elderly dogs. I miss my furballs very much and always lobe an opportunity to play with and look after some pups. I am currently a teacher on summer holidays so I am around during the week for the next three weeks. During term times I would mainly be available on the weekends. I can either look after your dogs at my parents house who live 20 minutes down the road, they have a fenced garden and two very friendly dogs for yours to play with or I can look after them in my current home in Cardiff, the garden is fenced but a lot smaller but there are no other animals living here if your dog would prefer that.

“This was the first time I had ever used a pet sitter. I was nervous about leaving my cats and home but Ashley was very good with them. I felt safe going away and leaving them and my house in his capable hands. He was polite and professional and most important, he was honest and genuine. He kept me updated on the cats and sent me pictures of them. I would 100% recommend Ashley, I will use again in the future.”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals especially dogs and enjoy taking them out to the beach or anywhere where they can run free. I often offer to have my friends dogs over night or for a weekend if they are stuck. I enjoy having the extra company and so does my dog Ella. I’ve had a dog at home for the passed 10+ years. I previously took on a dog that a family member couldn’t keep anymore due to circumstances and as I had a close bond with him (Bruno the beagle) and walked him a lot. I took him on where he had a very happy and fulfilled life. I then adopted a dog from Romania and helped rehabilitate him before moving him on to another family and now have Ella who is also adopted from Romania. I will always have dogs in my life now as dogs make a house a home and we love going on adventures. This would be a second job for me. I work Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30 so weekends or after that I am free. I also get a lot of time off, so longer periods are not a problem. I live in a flat where there are plenty of walks around and the beach is 5 minutes away. Toileting is easy too as I’m only on the second floor. Every dog is different but I’m happy to adapt to that. My dogs copes very well here and enjoys the views.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, mostly rescues and larger breeds — so I’m confident and calm around dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. I have experience in basic training and I’m especially good at connecting with dogs who need a little extra time, patience, or structure, like my family dog who’s 13 now with Cushings disease and struggles with her back legs. I’m based in both Cardiff and Pembrokeshire, offering flexible services in each location. I also have a lot of experience with cocker spaniels and cockapoo’s. I’ve recently finished university for the year, so I currently have a very open and flexible schedule! I spend most of my time reading, walking, or at the gym — which means I can give your pup plenty of time, energy, and attention. I’m available for walks or pop-ins most weekdays and weekends , including short notice bookings. However I do work part time Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I am unavailable those days of the week. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, use crates if needed, and provide regular updates so you always feel confident and connected. I’m currently working towards a dog first aid qualification, and I hold a full, clean driving licence in case of emergencies or vet visits.

“Kim did an amazing job looking after my three cats while were on honeymoon. Sent regular updates and pics and even took the time to put some flowers that had been delivered in water for me. Friendly and reliable I can’t recommend her highly enough! ☺️”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I’ve lived with dogs in a flat and on a farm and I know what it takes to make sure your four-legged friend is well exercised and looked after! As a dog owner myself who loves to travel, I know how hard it can be to find someone reliable to look after your pet whilst you’re away, or how it can be scary leaving your furry friend in kennels, so whether it be a holiday break or even if it’s just a quick drop-in needed, I would be delighted to keep your dog company and look after them as if they were my own. I live with my 8yr old Chow Chow Willow who recently became blind. This has been a massive adjustment as my partner and I have navigated retraining her and adapting to her new limitations, but it’s reinforced our ability to be extra patient with her especially when she needs a little help. Willow is however still extremely laid back and constantly around other dogs and since going blind there have been no issues with having another dog in our home. Since she’s gone blind, she’s also less active, so looking after more active dogs allows me to go on those longer dog walks that’s she’s no longer able to do. I’m very aware each dog has its own personality and would always follow any specific instructions you give me as to how to ensure your pup is happy whilst they’re with me. I’ve always had a dog in my life and when my schedule allows a little down time, I would love nothing more than to help out fellow dog owners who need any help with walks, check-ins or boardings. I have transportation so would be able to travel to collect/drop off and would require an initial meet up to make sure your pooch gets on with Willow whether that be in my home or elsewhere. I’d love to hear how I can help you out and give your doggo a lovely holiday or walk whilst you’re busy :) Thanks! Luisa I am currently very flexible with scheduling and and when my calendar shows I am available, I can accommodate most requests, whether that be boarding, housesitting or just dropping in on your pet as well as last minute requests. However as work takes me abroad at weeks at a time, unfortunately I cannot commit to regular/ongoing bookings without discussions beforehand. I have a large fenced garden with both grass and concrete where dogs are allowed to roam free and I can safely watch them through the living room patio doors. I also already have a medium to large soft crate if needed too.

“It was our first weekend of drop-in visits with Sarah and definitely not the last! Sarah turned out to be a great care giver and a very trust worthy person. All the visits where during scheduled hours like we discussed. Planety of pictures taken during every visit. The cat was very well taken care of and happy. Definitely recommend! :)”

“Maggie (my cat) was incredibly well looked after by Taryn. Taryn was reliable, kind and the whole experience was just brilliant - I felt very comfortable with Taryn popping into my home to care for Maggie, she treated my property with respect and updated me with photos and information throughout . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Taryn and plan to use her service again in the future .”

“Izzabelle was a star. I was looking for someone local to look after our 11 year old rabbit, Harvey for 7 days. I also needed someone to clean him out, give him water, hay and food twice per day. Izzabelle was amazing, she went far beyond what we asked, while away we had a heat wave, she ensured he was coping and had qater. She had a real care for Harvey and would highly recommend her. I will be hiring again. Thank you xxx”

“Grateful for Laura doing a meet and greet for my Ralph and then a drop in visit the following day after a short notice request. She was so friendly and kept communicating with me throughout the visit. She played with him in the garden & even took him for a short walk. Sound knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and the welfare needs required to keep them happy and healthy 3. Dog training experience under professional canine behaviour counsellors through university 4. Puppy training and socialisation 5. Administration of medications and basic first aid for dogs 6. Understanding of separation anxiety and working with retired working/companion animals I am available on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays and am keen to have a companion joining me on long nature walks. Typically, I remain home all day so unless I am required to pop out, the dogs will remain with me at all times. I ensure to provide a safe, relaxing environment when dogs stay at my home ensuring that I am constantly meeting the dogs needs. I have a sound understanding of potential triggers for nervous individuals and know the necessary steps to ensure maximum safety for everyone in our house. We live in a quiet area with plenty of nature surrounding us and like to take full advantage of being able to get out of the house and enjoy the outside. Our house is within a gated community that can be closed on request. We have a garden that is protected by a fence and contains a grass area for the doggies to do their business. Our garden is small, however we live across from a the racecourse and so ensure 2 good walks a day (depending on the dogs needs) so that they can have a good sniff and a play. We have a large living room and two large upstairs bedrooms, all protected with a door. If upstairs access needs to be prevented we are happy to install a baby gate. Our front door is protected by a porch which we lock when we are within the house to prevent any dogs from running out.
