About: I have grown up with there always being animals in my household. I currently have an active cocker spaniel and look after my friends and families pets when they go away. I enjoy going for walks and spending time looking after animals. I am currently working part time, meaning I am available after 2pm for longer walks - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday And then all day Thursday/saturday/sunday. I am also able to fit in short visits or walks before 9.30am on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday I have a good size garden and just behind my house is a large open space that is a hang out for all the local dogs. I also live very close to a large park, which is great for walks. I have one small/medium size dog that is extremely friendly to other animals and humans.

“Thank you so much Kirsty. We had pictures, videos and great communication with Kirsty and felt very lucky to have her look after Sassy. Can’t thank you enough :) Dave and Jen”

“Gaberiella was absolutely brilliant, she knows what she is doing… my dear Lola was comfortable with her. Love her service.. ❤️”

“Our cockerpoo Annie was instantly enamoured with Emma. She had a lovely way with her and clearly enjoyed looking after her. I would highly recommend Emma.”

About: I grew up with dogs as part of the family, so now that I live away from home and can’t have one of my own, I really miss having them around. That’s why I love helping care for other people’s pups. Based in St Albans, I fit in dog walks, house sitting and check-ins around my full-time job. It gives me my much-needed dog fix and a bit of extra coffee money, all while doing something I genuinely enjoy. Currently, I am available every day of the week apart from Tuesday and Thursdays. My calendar will always be up-to-date as I would also have occasional weekend days available. Although in a flat, I have a communal garden where a dog would be happy to run. I am also next to a lovely park where many dogs go to be walked. Long walks are available.

About: My family and I have had 3 dogs over my lifetime. I frequently take the dog for long walks, brush, bathe, cuddle and feed her! I have just finished my university exams so have lots of free time to spend outdoors and with animals, which I love! I can’t think of a better combination. I live in a flat, it is spacious enough however, I wouldn’t be offering a service to look after the pets in my own place.

“Charlotte is super lovely and down to earth- she has looked after Lizzie 3-4 times now and I know she’s in good hands with you. Thank you for always keeping me updated with how she’s doing whilst I’m gone and being so loving and kind to her !”

“We’d never left our cats to be looked after by anyone before. Upon meeting Diana we were very confident that she would take good care of our boys while we had a week abroad. We were not disappointed. Diana provided little updates and photos while we were away. Upon our return we could tell Benny and Fredo had been well loved in our absence. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Diana and would definitely book her again next time we go away if she’ll have us. 😊”

About: My love for cats (and dogs) started when I was 13. We finally had our very first cat, after many tortoises, fish, rabbits and birds. I have been taking care of Caramellina (my cat in Italy) on a daily basis before going to uni. I am used to feed animals at a certain time (making sure they follow their routine), I know how to clean and sanitise litter trays and, of course, ensuring the cats get their deserved play and chill time. I am a cat owner as well! I am a teacher and I am on holidays for the whole month of August. I am free any time in the day. I can reach your house to take care of your cat(s) by bus, tube or train. If the way you clean your cat litter tray is different from mine, I will adapt really easily: just give me clear instructions and what you tell me will be done. I do not want to change your routine, and most importantly, not your cat’s.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was like 10 years old. My previous dog died of old age when he was 15 and 7 years later I decided to adopt another one, he’s name is Rocky and he’s been with us for more than 3 years. He gets along with all dogs and because of that we are looking to help other dog owners in our area. I’m free most of the weekends but if you contact me in advance I’d be happy to organise my calendar according to what you need. I live with my partner and he’s also happy to help We have a small patio at the back of our ground floor flat which we’re the only ones with access to it. We have no carpets in the flat, so nothing to worry about when they come back from muddy walks :)

“Leo did a great job feeding our cat. Was very helpful and good comms. Thank you!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have looked after them for 26 years. From training puppies, to looking after senior dogs, to looking after dogs that have gone through operations that need a lot of aftercare, I can give your dog all the love and attention it needs. I owned a Cocker Spaniel and a Welsh Springer spaniel so I am also used to very energetic dogs. I love animals and will go above and beyond to give dogs the love, attention and walks that it needs. I live in a two story house with a big garden, and I have a car so can easily drive to wherever. I enjoy walks in the countryside but also walks at the local parks so we cater to different needs. I would love to have my own dog now but I travel too much so I would love to look after your lovely animal and have a companion when we are home! I work from home on Monday, Thursday and Friday and I can also be flexible Tuesday and Wednesday too as I can alter my working days in the office. I can plan my working hours and meetings around what works! I am also available at weekends. I have a large fenced, secure garden and a local park a few minutes walk away. Pets are allowed to cuddle up to me on the sofa, fully roam the house, and sleep in the bedroom with me. I would always prioritise your preferences as an owner to maintain a seamless routine and any lifestyle requirements your pooch needs.

“Lily was so accommodating and really put my mind at ease, as it was so last minute. She was really respectful of Oakley’s needs and we could tell he was happy to have her come to our house to check in on him. Would 100% use her again!”

“We were a bit apprehensive as first time Rover users but we need not have worried at all. June was absolutely lovely and brilliant with our cat Merlin. She stayed for 4 nights in our house with him and they formed an almost instant bond, helped by the fact that she met Merlin the week before to make sure he would be okay. She sent lots of pictures every day and he seemed so happy and chilled, it put our minds at ease. We were so pleased to see him so happy and calm and cuddly. Would highly recommend June and we hope she is able to look after Merlin again in the future.”

“Highly recommended!”

About: Before having my son, I professionally walked dogs on Hampstead Heath, London for nearly 10 years! I miss and loved it! Now in St Albans and having a dog of my own (golden retriever) I’d love to start spending any free time with more dogs! Happy to walk with mine or separately 🐾😊 I’m currently working part time and have the time to walk dogs or pop in visits during the week and on weekends. Happy to talk about a routine that will work for you and your pet! I am very reliable and experienced and discreet. I work in a school I am also DBS checked. I will walk, feed, play and love your lovely pets!

About: I adore dogs and I am unfortunately unable to have one in my rental flat, so I thought offering to walk others' dogs might fill the void! I regularly puppy sit for my sister's 4 year old whippet and my sister in law's cockapoo. I was also extremely lucky to always have a dog in my childhood home. Our first family dog was a scrappy, collie-cross called Baldrick with the cheekiest soul and, as he got older, the stinkiest breath. Then when I was 10 we got a rescue mongrel we called Dobby, who was the gentlest, best natured dog a family could wish for. Both Dobby and Baldrick lived until they were 18!!! I am used to being gentle with anxious dogs and ensuring boundaries are in place to make everyone feel safer and have the best walk possible! My partner and I both wish we could have a dog but unfortunately our current jobs and flat won't allow for pets! Therefore walking your dog would mean the world to me just to get some doggy love into my life! I work full time Mon-Friday, however I am available Mon-Wed from 5:30pm, Thursdays from 4:30pm and Fridays from 4pm. I am also available on the weekends. I'd be happy to walk your dog as a regular commitment or as a one off! I will always make sure I speak with you about your dog's personality and preferences before going for a walk (e.g. Whether they are comfortable around other dogs, if they are allowed off lead etc.). I will only take them to parks where there is space for them to explore on or off lead, and I prefer to only take them off lead if they know and recognise me (preferably after 3 or so walks). If a dog displays signs of anxiety or distress I am comfortable taking them away to a calm space and soothing them with a gentle tone.

About: I grew up around dogs and spent a lot of time dog sitting for anyone I could. I absolutely adore pets and my schedule is pretty strange, does mean I have most mornings to do walks or hangouts! Uncommon schedule, work 3-10pm most days but some day times too! If your friend is happy to be left they’re more than welcome at mine or I can come to you! If not, I can do morning walks which sounds great for everyone involved! I often have midweek days off if you’re looking for one or two super long walks a week. Happy to play and follow medical needs, walk times and feeding times. Also happy to send update pictures throughout the day if this is something you’d like!
