“Scarlett and her partner were absolutely amazing looking after Sasha. They were really flexible with both drop off and pick up and their communication was great throughout, with regular pupdates 🐶 They kept her active, engaged, and really took the time to understand her individual needs. I could tell she was very happy and well looked after! Thank you 🐾”

About: I have had a strong interest in all animals since being young. I regularly cared for family & neighbours pets from being a child. I now own four rabbits, a hamster, a turtle, fish and a 7 month old puppy named Ralph! Happy to deal with any training and care needs as I regularly train my own puppy and administer medication for my rabbits. My partner Lewis and I have opposite shift work so there is always somebody available. Caring for animals is my passion and I will enjoy the company. We can work around your needs to make it work for you. Happy owner, happy pet! I have a fenced garden and a sociable and friendly dog, so your dog always has a play mate. I have a spare bedroom that includes a crate so we can create a safe space for your dog if needed. I have a field close by and if your dog is not great with recall we have long leads available so they can get the exercise they need. With guidance from you, I would be happy to help with training and socialising your dog to keep them in a routine as much as possible.
“Harry and his family were very attentive and made our little angel feel at home instantly. Ease of drop off and collection. It is clear that Harry loves dogs, they love him, as we came back to a very happy 4 paws. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have had pets most of my life and enjoy the time with them. I'm retired so have the time to spoil your pet while you enjoy knowing they are well looked after. Im retired and have quite a bit of spare time on my hands. I love having a chat with a dog while walking, its wonderful. My own cats are indoors only as I prefer the safety of this. I cannot have pets boarding at my home due to my own fur babies x

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!
“Wow what can I say, I've never felt so at ease leaving my baby with somebody as I have leaving him with Matt. Constant updates, so much love, care and attention to detail. I'd book in with Matt in a heartbeat.”

“Absolutely fantastic dog sitter 10 out of 10 recommend she has a lovely connection with dogs and looks after them like their her own. She is very understanding to Diego that can be a strong boy at times. Such a wonderful dog sitter and kind person would recommend.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Growing up with two wonderful Labrador Retrievers gave me years of hands-on experience and a real appreciation for the care, exercise, and companionship dogs need. I’ve also spent time around my grandmother’s Border Collies and helped a friend with Rover dog sitting. With a large, secure garden and beautiful riverside walks right on our doorstep, your dog will have plenty of space to play, explore, and feel at home. After recently returning from a seven-month trip around South America, I have a flexible schedule while I search for my next career opportunity. This means I can dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to your pet. Since losing our family Labrador, I’ve really missed having a dog around, so I genuinely enjoy every opportunity to get out for walks, play, and spend quality time with dogs of all ages and personalities. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine will always be my top priority. I live in a safe, welcoming home with a large, secure garden and beautiful riverside walks right on our doorstep, giving dogs plenty of space to exercise and explore. I’ll always follow your instructions closely, keep to your pet’s usual routine, and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in safe and caring hands.
“My dog was very happy and well looked after with Karen who treated her as her own. She sent me a video of Cleo and she had toys and I could tell she had a great time when I went to pick her up. I will definitely be booking her again x”

About: Hello! My name is Inna. I recently moved to the UK and would love to spend more time with dogs again. I’ve had several dogs in the past — two wonderful Rottweilers, a playful Pug, and a sweet French Bulldog. They were all part of my life and my heart. At the moment, I don’t have my own dog, but I really miss the daily joy and energy they bring. That’s why I’m here on Rover — to walk, play, and care for your furry friends as if they were my own. I live in a quiet, comfortable home with a safe garden, perfect for dogs to relax and feel secure. I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks, giving them attention, cuddles, and playtime. I’m reliable, calm, and responsible — and I understand how important it is to know your pet is in good hands. Whether your dog needs a short walk, a friendly daytime companion, or a warm home for the night — I’ll be happy to help! 🐶💕 Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits in the mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I offer flexible pet care depending on your needs: – I can visit your home to feed, check on, or spend time with your pet. – I'm happy to take dogs out for walks in parks or quiet streets. – I can also host small or calm dogs in my home if you're away on holiday.

“I contacted Covadonga very last minute in the hope she'd be able to have my dog for a few hours while I visited Bath. The speed in which she replied was fantastic. Covadonga communicated so well with me, before and while she had my dog, it was so reassuring to know my dog was happy in her care. My dog had such a lovely time with Covadonga, I will definitely be booking with her again in the future, thank you!”

Aaliyah looked after our miniature dachshund, Chorizo, for day care for the first time in preparation for a longer stay we have booked. She was very communicative beforehand and took on board my concerns (he has had IVDD so needs some extra care). She sent me several updates with pictures throughout the day and I could see how happy and settled Chorizo was in her home. He was happy to see us when we arrived to pick him up - but he didn't want to leave Aaliyah and her partner!! We are feeling very reassured ahead of him staying with her in July as we know he will be happy to go back and will be very well looked after.

Scarlett and her partner were absolutely amazing looking after Sasha. They were really flexible with both drop off and pick up and their communication was great throughout, with regular pupdates 🐶 They kept her active, engaged, and really took the time to understand her individual needs. I could tell she was very happy and well looked after! Thank you 🐾

Merlin had a fantastic day with Daniel. From the moment we arrived, he was so welcoming and reassuring, and it was clear Merlin was going to be very well looked after. He came home happy, relaxed and clearly had a great time. The videos and photos Daniel sent from Merlin’s walk were brilliant and gave us real peace of mind, especially seeing how happy and settled he was. We would 100% recommend and will definitely be booking again. Thank you!

Meg stayed with Alexandra this week for the first time and took to her immediately. We felt very at ease and comfortable with the care that she provided . We would have no hesitation in recommending Alexandra to look after anyone's dog. We have already made a repeat booking for Meg for day care again next week.

Mango had a great time, he loved playing with Jasmines dog, they are both big softies and got on great. Jasmine was really nice and took such good care of Mango. He was so happy when i picked him up . Very knowledgable sitter with a loverly attitude, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for taking Mango last minute.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
