“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay.. I just hope I get a better greeting off Storm after my trip. Thank you, 🐾”

“Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. They are knowledgeable about dogs and go out of their way to accommodate your requirements. Again would highly recommend. Thanks again from Julie and Mike.”
“Harry and his partner looked after Lenny for nearly two weeks, and I couldn't have asked for better carers. They kept me updated throughout his stay with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious from the updates that they genuinely care about animal welfare and treat every dog as if it were their own. Their home is spacious and welcoming, and it's surrounded by plenty of outdoor space for walks, which Lenny clearly enjoyed. From the photos, it was easy to see he was having a great time exploring. When I collected Lenny, he looked happy, relaxed, and in excellent health, which says everything about the level of care he received :-) I wouldn't hesitate to leave Lenny with Harry again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring dog sitters.”

“I highly recommend Kath and her husband. They are absolutely wonderful and you can tell how much they love dogs. They’ve just looked after our staffy for two and half weeks and he had the best time and was so well cared for. We’ve never left Chico for so long with a dog sitter and naturally it is something you worry about. We did a meet up with Kath and her husband prior to booking and immediately knew that Chico would be safe and cared for with them. Chico was immediately at ease with them and they have a lovely garden. They treated Chico like one of the family and he enjoyed visiting their caravan and going on his own holiday while he was there. Chico is getting older and has quite a few health problems. He takes lots of medication and Kath and her husband made sure it was all kept on top of. I loved receiving the update photos. It put my mind at ease and was lovely to see when we were missing him. Absolutely the best of the best. He came home so relaxed, healthy and happy. Thank you so much for looking after our boy.”

About: I've had dogs for the past 10 years and genuinely love everything about them. I'm currently training my 6 month old cockapoo, which includes gun dog training. I have 2 young dog savvy children and a husband who also loves dogs. We have a large garden and live in an area with lovely countryside walks. I also work from home most of the week. I work from home 3 days per week and I am always home on a weekend. I can look after your pups on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and I can do weekend boarding. I can also pop in and check on your pups during the days I work from home and on weekends. I have a large garden and lots of lovely walks near my house, I have a 6 month old cockapoo puppy that is very friendly and absolutely loves other dogs. I also have 2 dog savvy children who would be happy to play with another pup! I live with my husband who is amazing with dogs and is currently taking our dog to training classes and a gun dog training class. We have plenty of space to look after another dog in our home.
About: I have two dogs age 7 and 5. I love my fur-babies and yours will feel part of our family when they stay with me. All my children are adults so I can concentrate on your dog and make sure they are feeling happy and loved while you are away. I love to go walking so your dog will have plenty of exercise and then plenty of cuddles at home on the sofa relaxing. I want it to feel like a home away from home. My day is already centered around my dogs, I go for daily dog walks with my husband round Worden Park which is a stones throw from our house. I'm always cuddling them and always talking to them!! Plenty of toilet breaks and playtime. I have a big garden with lots of grass and a patio area. My home has high secure locked fences. In the summer I spend lots of my free time in the garden which our dogs love.
“I was terrified of sending my rescue cat for boarding as he had never been away from his home in the 7 years he has been with me. He is an indoors-outdoors cat who has access to his cat flap at any time. Very shy with humans and friendly to other cats. And not used to be kept indoors. Vivian’s cat room is perfect, with a large bay window, shelves for the cat to climb upon, corners to hide if nervous and plenty of space to roam around. Vivian did an amazing job with my cat, being very patient to give him confidence and feel comfortable in the new surroundings and with new people. She gave him plenty of cuddles and reassurance throughout the stay. And monitored his food and drink intake as well as his litter use. Vivian also introduced him to their really sweet and cute kitten to give him a playmate. Vivian kept me updated throughout with pictures, videos and reported on his progress. I could not have dreamt of a better place and better couple to keep my cat safe, happy and comfortable during my absence. I would not hesitate to recommend Vivian’s services for boarding and will happily use again when required in future.”

About: I have had cats since I was little. When I had children I introduced them to cats too by adopting a kitten, and now I have 2 adult daughters with their own cats, so I definitely passed on my love of them. I have adopted senior cats. Currently my latest adoption is 10 and a half years old and likes to be the boss of my 3 other cats, but I am gradually getting her used to socialising with them in a more friendly way. It's an ongoing process! I know cats are unpredictable, can scratch you one minute then want to climb on your lap the next, but I like that they have little independent personalities. When a cat loves you, you know you have been chosen. I am used to getting cats to take medication and treating things like eye infections for them, so I would be happy to look after a cat needing medical care. I also clean and change litter, mop up catsick or hairballs, and hoover up stray fur on the furniture!

About: I currently have two cats, a female calico and a male ginger. Both under 2 years. Started off with Mia (calico) hating Ginge but now they love each other haha (occasional tap to the head though...). My boyfriend is normally on litter tray duty but I don't mind doing it! I used to work in Care so I have definitely seen a lot worse lol. Happy to play, keep them entertained and also give them a big cuddle! About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I am a mature student completing my research degree and have plenty of time to fit pets into my routine. I’m always up early and I have my own car so am able to travel, and I am happy to take dogs in my car too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I prefer clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!
“I cannot recommend Aaliyah enough, she has put me at ease as I was so nervous about finding a day care for my 7month old vizsla. Our girl is very soft and can be anxious around dogs so a 1-1 day care was the better option for us. Aaliyah and her partner both came for a meet and greet prior to me booking Gabi in with them which instantly put me at ease, Gabi loved them from the moment she met them. Aaliyah and her partner have taken such great care of Gabi whilst me and my partner have been at work and the updates and pictures have put me at ease. About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I am a mature student completing my research degree and have plenty of time to fit pets into my routine. I’m always up early and I have my own car so am able to travel, and I am happy to take dogs in my car too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I prefer clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: I have had a strong interest in all animals since being young. I regularly cared for family & neighbours pets from being a child. I now own four rabbits, a hamster, a turtle, fish and a 7 month old puppy named Ralph! Happy to deal with any training and care needs as I regularly train my own puppy and administer medication for my rabbits. My partner Lewis and I have opposite shift work so there is always somebody available. Caring for animals is my passion and I will enjoy the company. We can work around your needs to make it work for you. Happy owner, happy pet! I have a fenced garden and a sociable and friendly dog, so your dog always has a play mate. I have a spare bedroom that includes a crate so we can create a safe space for your dog if needed. I have a field close by and if your dog is not great with recall we have long leads available so they can get the exercise they need. About: I am a training veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them in a variety of settings. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their behaviour, daily care needs, and the importance of patience and consistency when handling animals. About: Home-from-home dog care in Preston with plenty of company, individual attention and your dog’s normal routine kept familiar. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone, with walks, feeding, play and rest all tailored around what they’re used to. I work a rotating shift pattern which gives me plenty of free time and several full days off at a time. I can plan my availability well in advance and fit walks, feeding, drop-in visits and pet sitting around your pet’s normal routine. I’m happy to follow established feeding, walking and medication schedules and will always discuss your pet’s routine with you beforehand. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, use leads as requested and pay attention to anything that could cause a problem during walks or visits. When caring for a pet in their own home, I treat the property respectfully, keep everything secure and leave it as I found it. I’ll also keep you updated so you know how your pet is getting on.
About: I have had cats since I was little, adopting them from friends, the RSPCA or relatives. I have also owned rabbits, and dogs, in the past as an adult. My dog experience includes an excitable Border Collie, a happy-go-lucky mixed breed and a fun-loving German Shepherd. I do miss dog walks and dog cuddles, but currently one of my adopted senior cats isn't keen on dogs so I am currently a dog free house! I have looked after pets since I was about 5 or 6 so have nearly 50 years experience with animals.I work from home so if you have wifi and need a sitter in your home, I can be in most of the day with your pet. I love walking dogs on or off lead and I am happy to go with the personality of your pet, whether that's a cat that likes their own space, or a dog who wants cuddles and long outdoor walks. As for my cats, they have my Mum to look after them when I am away, so I can do overnight or longer stays. I work in education, have a car, flexibility on dates/times and I will look after your pet as if they are my own, sending lots of photos and updates. I work Monday-Friday in term-time, and work from home, with occasional meetings outside my home, depending on schedule. I usually get up, feed my cats, have breakfast, start work at 8 and if I'm in a Teams meeting online, try to keep my cats from coming into shot or stepping all over my keyboard! Sometimes I might need to do an external visit or meeting, but if so then I am back home within 1-2hrs. At tea time the cats get fed again. At the weekends my cats have to wait a little longer for breakfast if I have a lie-in. At home I have a fenced-in garden, a cat flap and litter trays. I also have a small park 5 mins walk away where I used to walk my dogs, and a larger one 10 mins drive away. I live in a very quiet cul de sac.

About: I have owned dogs for over 10 years and have experience with most sizes! My family at home have a Beauceron x Rottweiler so I am used to large, strong dogs. We also used to have a whippet, and both dogs were rescues so I also have experience with dogs with little to no recall and who love to try and slip their lead LOL! Our beauceron x is now over 15 so I have experience with older dogs and I understand their needs. I currently have a little Peke who lives with me. She is spayed and very unbothered by other dogs as she comes from a farm so hopefully our pets will make great friends! I am a laidback but firm pet owner. I have a little experience training my dogs so if you need any training worked on/ reinforced during your pets stay with me please let me know and I can work with you! I currently work Mon-Friday 9-5, so I am mostly available on weekends. When looking after your pet I will not have any plans so I can ensure their happiness and safety. I live in a top floor flat so if your pet is staying with me they must be happy with stairs or being carried. I live next to a large green space so they can have a nice walk. I will aim to bring your pet out every 2-4 hours depending on their energy levels/ toilet needs. Overnight the last toilet break will be around 9pm and the first morning walk is at 7.30am. This is flexible so just let me know of any specific requirements!
About: I’m a 23 year old Veterinary Medicine student in her 4th year of Vet school. I take pride in making sure animals are healthy and happy whilst in my care. Alongside this I’ve studied an animal management BTEC course and got a grade of D*D*D*. I have a wide range of work experience alongside animals including doggy day cares, catteries, farm settings and pet shops and I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals. :) My weekly routine usually consists of having to go to university, hence why my availability is a bit staggered. Weekends are fully free for me usually (other than pet sitting!). But when I’m on university holiday or study break I’m available to fit within your schedule! I build towards your schedule where I’ll try and mimic your usual routine to ensure your pets feel as comfortable as possible in their own home. Bear in mind I do have a part time job 5-7pm Monday to Friday but will fit to your schedule as best as I can

“Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. About: I've had dogs for the past 10 years and genuinely love everything about them. I'm currently training my 6 month old cockapoo, which includes gun dog training. I have 2 young dog savvy children and a husband who also loves dogs. We have a large garden and live in an area with lovely countryside walks. I also work from home most of the week. I work from home 3 days per week and I am always home on a weekend. I can look after your pups on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and I can do weekend boarding. I can also pop in and check on your pups during the days I work from home and on weekends. I have a large garden and lots of lovely walks near my house, I have a 6 month old cockapoo puppy that is very friendly and absolutely loves other dogs. I also have 2 dog savvy children who would be happy to play with another pup! I live with my husband who is amazing with dogs and is currently taking our dog to training classes and a gun dog training class. We have plenty of space to look after another dog in our home.
