“Harry and his partner looked after Lenny for nearly two weeks, and I couldn't have asked for better carers. They kept me updated throughout his stay with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious from the updates that they genuinely care about animal welfare and treat every dog as if it were their own. Their home is spacious and welcoming, and it's surrounded by plenty of outdoor space for walks, which Lenny clearly enjoyed. From the photos, it was easy to see he was having a great time exploring. “It was the first time we had ever left Roxy overnight. We were really worried about leaving her at all. However we were greatly impressed with the young couple who looked after her. They went above and beyond to make Roxy feel at home and cared for her exceptionally well, sending us regular pup dates on how she was. They have a great set up and large garden, and are close to a large country park for walking and adventures. We both are very fussy people but we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their dog. We have already booked with them again, as we know Roxy will be well cared for.”

About: I honestly think I love dogs more than life itself. I can’t walk past a dog without stopping for a chat and a cuddle. To me, a walk isn’t really a walk unless I’ve met a few waggy tails along the way! We recently lost our beautiful Border Collie, Toby, at the age of 13½. He was truly my world. It’s still painful to talk about him, but I know we gave him the happiest life imaginable. I even flew him home from Australia because he was part of the family and there was never any question of leaving him behind. My partner and I have two young children (aged 3½ and 1), and there’s a huge void in our home without Toby. We’d love nothing more than to welcome your dog into our family, whether that’s for a fun walk or caring for them in the comfort of our home. We promise they’ll be treated with the same love, care and attention as if they were our own. We’re both very flexible and will do our best to accommodate your needs. “I was terrified of sending my rescue cat for boarding as he had never been away from his home in the 7 years he has been with me. He is an indoors-outdoors cat who has access to his cat flap at any time. Very shy with humans and friendly to other cats. And not used to be kept indoors. Vivian’s cat room is perfect, with a large bay window, shelves for the cat to climb upon, corners to hide if nervous and plenty of space to roam around. Vivian did an amazing job with my cat, being very patient to give him confidence and feel comfortable in the new surroundings and with new people. She gave him plenty of cuddles and reassurance throughout the stay. And monitored his food and drink intake as well as his litter use. Vivian also introduced him to their really sweet and cute kitten to give him a playmate. Vivian kept me updated throughout with pictures, videos and reported on his progress. I could not have dreamt of a better place and better couple to keep my cat safe, happy and comfortable during my absence. I would not hesitate to recommend Vivian’s services for boarding and will happily use again when required in future.”

About: Like I mentioned in previous paragraphs, I've had cats since the day i came home from the hospital. My Mum had a ginger cat when i was born that used to sleep in my cot with me. I hate cat slander, people often call them uncaring or rude, that's not true. They just have more boundaries than dogs! My cats were incredibly caring to me and my family because we had earnt their respect (probably because they knew we were the only way for them to get food but hey ho). I know that there isn't much of a chance of me earning your feline's respect unless it's one of those rare occurrences where they just love everybody! But i can try my hardest to make them feel comfortable around me.

I now own four rabbits, a hamster, a turtle, fish and a 7 month old puppy named Ralph! Happy to deal with any training and care needs as I regularly train my own puppy and administer medication for my rabbits. My partner Lewis and I have opposite shift work so there is always somebody available. Caring for animals is my passion and I will enjoy the company. About: Deborah & Poppy’s doggy daycare/boarding Both myself and my daughter, with who I share the responsibility of the dogs we look after, love caring for all animals. I have lived with dogs since I was born, and have raised my children (who are all grown up now) in the same way. We love dog walkies, and have a wonderful large back garden to play fetch in too. My daughter studies from home, and I now have plenty of spare time to spend with my favourite animals (and spoil them!). We sadly lost our own dog to cancer earlier this year. Towards the end she had lots of special medical requirements including nappy wearing, medications, and help getting around the house. We now want to care for dogs in our own time, and don’t want to go through loosing another. I am currently only working when I feel like working so I have plenty of time on my hands to care and look after dogs of all breeds and give them plenty of love . I have a large fenced garden for them to play ,and gates with locks on so they can’t escape , cameras in the front and back of the house and were I live is a very safe village in the countryside .

About: I have owned animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to cats to dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat and a rabbit. My dog is a husky so I am used to getting out walking daily. I am available all day for drop ins and walks. I own a husky who is very kind and gentle, she gets along with other dogs but can be left at home if it is an issue. I love long walks as well as short ones and plenty of play time. I have a very big secure back garden which is great for the dogs running around or relaxing in. I have a very small for her age husky who gets along with other dogs with no issues.

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!

About: I have had cats since I was little, adopting them from friends, the RSPCA or relatives. I have also owned rabbits, and dogs, in the past as an adult. My dog experience includes an excitable Border Collie, a happy-go-lucky mixed breed and a fun-loving German Shepherd. I do miss dog walks and dog cuddles, but currently one of my adopted senior cats isn't keen on dogs so I am currently a dog free house! I have looked after pets since I was about 5 or 6 so have nearly 50 years experience with animals.I work from home so if you have wifi and need a sitter in your home, I can be in most of the day with your pet. I love walking dogs on or off lead and I am happy to go with the personality of your pet, whether that's a cat that likes their own space, or a dog who wants cuddles and long outdoor walks. As for my cats, they have my Mum to look after them when I am away, so I can do overnight or longer stays. I work in education, have a car, flexibility on dates/times and I will look after your pet as if they are my own, sending lots of photos and updates. I work Monday-Friday in term-time, and work from home, with occasional meetings outside my home, depending on schedule. I usually get up, feed my cats, have breakfast, start work at 8 and if I'm in a Teams meeting online, try to keep my cats from coming into shot or stepping all over my keyboard! Sometimes I might need to do an external visit or meeting, but if so then I am back home within 1-2hrs. At tea time the cats get fed again. At the weekends my cats have to wait a little longer for breakfast if I have a lie-in. At home I have a fenced-in garden, a cat flap and litter trays. I also have a small park 5 mins walk away where I used to walk my dogs, and a larger one 10 mins drive away. I live in a very quiet cul de sac.
About: I have owned animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to cats to dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat and a rabbit. My dog is a husky so I am used to getting out walking daily. I am available all day for drop ins and walks. I own a husky who is very kind and gentle, she gets along with other dogs but can be left at home if it is an issue. I love long walks as well as short ones and plenty of play time. I have a very big secure back garden which is great for the dogs running around or relaxing in. I have a very small for her age husky who gets along with other dogs with no issues.
About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I am a mature student completing my research degree and have plenty of time to fit pets into my routine. I’m always up early and I have my own car so am able to travel, and I am happy to take dogs in my car too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I prefer clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: I honestly think I love dogs more than life itself. I can’t walk past a dog without stopping for a chat and a cuddle. To me, a walk isn’t really a walk unless I’ve met a few waggy tails along the way! We recently lost our beautiful Border Collie, Toby, at the age of 13½. He was truly my world. It’s still painful to talk about him, but I know we gave him the happiest life imaginable. I even flew him home from Australia because he was part of the family and there was never any question of leaving him behind. About: I have owned dogs for over 10 years and have experience with most sizes! My family at home have a Beauceron x Rottweiler so I am used to large, strong dogs. We also used to have a whippet, and both dogs were rescues so I also have experience with dogs with little to no recall and who love to try and slip their lead LOL! Our beauceron x is now over 15 so I have experience with older dogs and I understand their needs. I currently have a little Peke who lives with me. I currently work Mon-Friday 9-5, so I am mostly available on weekends. When looking after your pet I will not have any plans so I can ensure their happiness and safety. I live in a top floor flat so if your pet is staying with me they must be happy with stairs or being carried. I live next to a large green space so they can have a nice walk. I will aim to bring your pet out every 2-4 hours depending on their energy levels/ toilet needs. Overnight the last toilet break will be around 9pm and the first morning walk is at 7.30am. This is flexible so just let me know of any specific requirements!
