“It was the first time we had ever left Roxy overnight. We were really worried about leaving her at all. However we were greatly impressed with the young couple who looked after her. They went above and beyond to make Roxy feel at home and cared for her exceptionally well, sending us regular pup dates on how she was. They have a great set up and large garden, and are close to a large country park for walking and adventures. We both are very fussy people but we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their dog. We have already booked with them again, as we know Roxy will be well cared for.”

About: Myself and my husband have grown up with dogs and have embraced them into our family life.Mainly large, male dogs some with challenging behaviour issues. We have recently lost our much loved dog in a tragic accident and consequently we have started to look after friends and family's pets and have really enjoyed this and want it to continue. We live in a nice, semi rural area with a multitude of walks on our doorstep. We have great flexibility as we are self employed and work close to home. We are early risers so would be able to take your dog out for a walk before work, and/or take your dog with us, or pop home regularly if required. We are a self employed couple with great flexibility. We have a fenced garden and yard with access to many local walks. We would treat your dog as if it was our own and maintain your boundaries and preferences around behaviour and routine.

About: I have two dogs age 7 and 5. I love my fur-babies and yours will feel part of our family when they stay with me. All my children are adults so I can concentrate on your dog and make sure they are feeling happy and loved while you are away. I love to go walking so your dog will have plenty of exercise and then plenty of cuddles at home on the sofa relaxing. I want it to feel like a home away from home. My day is already centered around my dogs, I go for daily dog walks with my husband round Worden Park which is a stones throw from our house. I'm always cuddling them and always talking to them!! Plenty of toilet breaks and playtime. I have a big garden with lots of grass and a patio area. My home has high secure locked fences. In the summer I spend lots of my free time in the garden which our dogs love.

My only piece of feedback is regarding the drop-off; Mark was headed out the door as I arrived, which felt a bit rushed and left me a little uneasy about them being left alone immediately. However, the dogs seemed happy and well-cared for upon my return.”
About: Previously, I worked in kennels for 2 years and a dog boarders for another 2 so I have experience dealing with almost all breeds. I also come from a family of dog boarders so have grown up caring for dogs all my life. I am equipped at administering medication if needed and also have no dogs of my own at the minute so if you have a dog that may not always get on with others then that’s not a problem. I’m currently working part time 3 days a week so Friday-Monday I am free to take care of your lovely pooches. I am happy to pop in during the day to feed/let them out to toilet or take them on a nice walk and take care of them overnight. I have a fenced garden and no dogs of my own at the minute so we have a really safe and secure area. I also have a lot of fields and green/pond areas a 5 minute walk from my home so it’s a really great area for them to stay/be walked.

About: I have had cats since I was little. When I had children I introduced them to cats too by adopting a kitten, and now I have 2 adult daughters with their own cats, so I definitely passed on my love of them. I have adopted senior cats. Currently my latest adoption is 10 and a half years old and likes to be the boss of my 3 other cats, but I am gradually getting her used to socialising with them in a more friendly way. It's an ongoing process! I know cats are unpredictable, can scratch you one minute then want to climb on your lap the next, but I like that they have little independent personalities. When a cat loves you, you know you have been chosen. I am used to getting cats to take medication and treating things like eye infections for them, so I would be happy to look after a cat needing medical care. I also clean and change litter, mop up catsick or hairballs, and hoover up stray fur on the furniture!

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!

About: I have taken care of dogs cats and other pets from a young age. I have walked, cleaned up mess, picked up poo and played with pets many times. I am confident that I can look after any pet. I don’t currently work so I have lots of free time to look after your pet. I’m free most days apart from a few hours between 11-3 on Wednesday. I am very flexible and happy to change my schedule at short notice. I live on the first floor and I have a shared garden with a fence. My flat is fairly spacious for its size. I’m happy to petsit in your home ,if required, and I will make sure you pet is looked after very well.

About: We’ve both had separate childhood dogs and now have our own furry baby who we trained from being a pup! The majority of our experience lies with caring for spaniels but we love all breeds. We can cater for all your pet’s needs, such as having a crate available, feeding them their favourite food/treats, taking them to their favourite walking destination, having a puppy carrier (for puppies who are yet to go on walks before their immunisations) and much more! We work full-time but different shifts, meaning we are available every weekend, some weekdays and some evenings, after 5pm. Our availability is different each week. We have a large, fenced back garden with a side gate that has no gaps underneath. We have a dog crate and plenty of toys and space in the house for your dog to run and play in!

My dog experience includes an excitable Border Collie, a happy-go-lucky mixed breed and a fun-loving German Shepherd. I love walking dogs on or off lead and I am happy to go with the personality of your pet, whether that's a cat that likes their own space, or a dog who wants cuddles and long outdoor walks. As for my cats, they have my Mum to look after them when I am away, so I can do overnight or longer stays. I work in education, have a car, flexibility on dates/times and I will look after your pet as if they are my own, sending lots of photos and updates. I work Monday-Friday in term-time, and work from home, with occasional meetings outside my home, depending on schedule. I usually get up, feed my cats, have breakfast, start work at 8 and if I'm in a Teams meeting online, try to keep my cats from coming into shot or stepping all over my keyboard! Sometimes I might need to do an external visit or meeting, but if so then I am back home within 1-2hrs. At tea time the cats get fed again. At the weekends my cats have to wait a little longer for breakfast if I have a lie-in. At home I have a fenced-in garden, a cat flap and litter trays. I also have a small park 5 mins walk away where I used to walk my dogs, and a larger one 10 mins drive away. I live in a very quiet cul de sac.

About: I have had pets most of my life and enjoy the time with them. I'm retired so have the time to spoil your pet while you enjoy knowing they are well looked after. Im retired and have quite a bit of spare time on my hands. I love having a chat with a dog while walking, its wonderful. My own cats are indoors only as I prefer the safety of this. I cannot have pets boarding at my home due to my own fur babies x

About: I absolutely love dogs (all animals really) and have had dogs in my life since being young. I currently have a Yorkshire Terrier - I have experience with dogs in heat. I also have two cats, they spend the day outside so will be no issue. Since I have had dogs from a young age I have experience with a range of different breeds so I am very used to all the different personalities dogs can have. I am super flexible due to working from home and am therefore available at short notice. I have the most experience with these breed of dogs: Basset Hounds, Yorkshire Terriers, Labradors, Border Collies, Jack Russels, West Highland Terriers and Pugs. “Mark did a great job looking after my 2 dogs this weekend. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos he sent, which kept my mind at ease. My only piece of feedback is regarding the drop-off; Mark was headed out the door as I arrived, which felt a bit rushed and left me a little uneasy about them being left alone immediately. However, the dogs seemed happy and well-cared for upon my return.”
About: Previously, I worked in kennels for 2 years and a dog boarders for another 2 so I have experience dealing with almost all breeds. I also come from a family of dog boarders so have grown up caring for dogs all my life. I am equipped at administering medication if needed and also have no dogs of my own at the minute so if you have a dog that may not always get on with others then that’s not a problem. I’m currently working part time 3 days a week so Friday-Monday I am free to take care of your lovely pooches. I am happy to pop in during the day to feed/let them out to toilet or take them on a nice walk and take care of them overnight. I have a fenced garden and no dogs of my own at the minute so we have a really safe and secure area. I also have a lot of fields and green/pond areas a 5 minute walk from my home so it’s a really great area for them to stay/be walked.

“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay..
