About: With over six years of hands-on experience working on a petting farm from the age of 14 to 20, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals — from livestock to a variety of dog breeds. Growing up in a dog-loving home, especially with high-energy breeds like collies, has given me a deep understanding of canine behaviour, needs, and personalities. Whether it’s providing calm companionship or active playtime, I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I work full time as a teacher but I am free most weekends and evenings! I am DBS checked and First Aid Trained This is my only career, you can feel at ease knowing that your pets will have full time attention from me. For boarding: Aside from quick errands or the weekly shop, the only time I’m away from home is when I’m out walking dogs—so your pet is never left for long and always has company. My back garden is secure, with high walls and a tall gated entrance, giving dogs a safe space to enjoy some fresh air. I also have access to a secure, enclosed field nearby—perfect for off-lead play and exercise. At home, your dog will also meet my friendly Sprockador, Daisy, who loves making new friends and is great with dogs of all ages and sizes.

About: I've been around dogs longer than I can remember, but my official experience started at Bleakholt doing the volunteer dog walking before eventually dogsitting. My expertise of canines lies mainly in senior dog care and bigger breeds, but does not exclude younger or smaller dogs. I can administer oral medication, and apply lots of affection to those who want it. I have a fenced in back garden for those dogs able to stay with me, I absolutely love dogs and look forward to meeting your furbabies! All new dogs will require one night of boarding before staying for longer than three days.(Please ensure you have filled out the summary and added a picture of your furbabies before contacting me, thank you!) If visiting your home, I'd need the times to work around school hours (unless of course it's the holidays), which would be after 8-9.15am for the morning, and 2.40-4pm for the afternoon. Anywhere between those times would work wonderfully during the week. If your dog is able to stay in my own home, the times don't apply. I have to be picky about which dogs are able to stay in my own home because I have two young children (1 year old and 6 year old). I do have a fenced back garden where they can go for space/to do their business, and if allowed I may take them to the local cafe for a puppychino. (This is a cream drink with dog biscuits mixed in.) If they can tolerate children but not for too long I can seperate them to the back of the house (a small room, the kitchen, and constant access to the outside fenced back garden.) There's always someone in the kitchen so your furbaby wouldn't be alone! As for if I'm visiting your home, I'm more than happy to follow any instructions you leave out. Whether your dog comes to mine or I go to yours, please do tell me about any quirks, fears, what they like and what they don't so everyone has a happy time.

“Lucy has been amazing with Caesar, he looks like he has had the time of his life! Caesar was a lockdown puppy so never got the chance when young to socialise fully but in the space of a weekend Lucy has been able to introduce him to lots of friends and sent us lots of videos of him playing with the other dogs as well as our walking, and playing in the house. Lucy sent lots of regular updates of their travels and fun as well as to reassure us he was fine in the house. We definitely will be asking Lucy to look after Caesar again because she has been amazing with him and know we can go away worry-free knowing he will be having the best time.”

About: I have had a passion for animals and dogs since I was born. I have had family dogs growing up since i can remember. I got my own, Penny who is a rescue dog from Romania 4 years ago. Shes my best friend and we go on lots of exploring and walks together. I have looked after multiple family dogs at a time when they go on holiday. When my nana fell ill I was round every day taking her dog Rosie on a walk. I have recently changed career path and I am currently doing lots of studying so don’t work 9-5 currently. I love being at home also watching sport on night time and weekends while relaxing with my dog Penny. So currently free to play with your dog all day and night! I have a large house and garden that is fenced. Penny my dog loves the company and friends to play with. I can crate your dog if needed.

About: Growing up our house was home to a number of different breeds of dogs that we loved and cared for very much. I've had a good exposure to varying temperaments and behaviours. Currently I'm a med student who attends university in Manchester two days a week and the rest of my time is spent at home studying. At home there is plenty of dedicated space for pets to roam and relax inside. Not much of a garden but the local park is just around the corner.

About: I’ve had lots of pets since I was born from dogs and cats to lizards and rats. I have always loved being around animals, taking care of them and making them feel loved and comfortable :) Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own, so my routine naturally revolves around feeding, walking, playtime, and cuddles. I’m used to early mornings, regular exercise, and keeping animals happy, healthy, and comfortable. I’m passionate about working with animals and plan to make pet care my full time career. In my home or yours I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved as if they were my own. I provide a secure environment, regular feeding, fresh water, daily walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep routines consistent and ensure each pet’s needs are met whether that’s special diets, medication, or extra snuggles.

About: I have had pets for my entire life, with a focus on dogs in particular. I love animals and am often asked to help friends with pet sitting, and recently spent time training my friends pet whilst pet sitting to go outside for wees. (NB: I am not a professional dog trainer). I grew up with spaniels and a cat. And later in life have had pugs, miniature pinschers, Heinz 57, Boston terrier, husky’s to name a few in my life! I also have experience caring for exotic animals such as Mantis, having had my own ghost and spiny flower mantis. Unfortunately I now live in a house that is too small to keep a dog happy, with no outside space so I am unable to have a dog of my own :( **the app is not great in terms of calendar and what I can do each day, if something is not marked as available please message me and I will do my best to accommodate you** I work from home during the week, and am usually only out for work on a Thursday. This means I have time during the week to complete dog walks, drop ins and stays with your loved ones! At times I may need to have my child with me if the house sit is for a few days. He is 9 years old and experienced and respectful with all animals and homes. Please do let me know if this is something you would not be comfortable with I will respect your routine and preferences with your pets, keeping their usual routine is so important to maintain their happiness and comfort! I am happy to follow your usual feeding routines, and will do my best to make sure your pet is happy and feels loved. I respect the environment I am in, and you will come home to your place being just as you left it :)

About: I had my last pet 18 months ago when she had to be put to sleep, I work part time, so your pet would never be left for more than 3 hours at a time, I love being outdoors and playing giving lots of attention, ensuring your pets are happy and content when in my care I only work part time so I have plenty of time to give your furry family all the attention playtime and exercise they need to be happy and content I have a back yard with tall walls so your pet would be kept safe at all times, dogs free to roam throughout the whole house

My prices are to reflect this, while still ensuring that the dogs are safe and comfortable in my home. My household is pet-friendly and safe, with enough space for your dog to play and explore. We have parks nearby, and a big garden for them to have fun in, your bestie will be free to run around our garden (with some restrictions, of course!) I have a flexible schedule and willing to work around your schedule. We’re available Monday to Sunday 9am to 9pm. Overnight booking are accepted with 12 hours in advance notification. At my home, your dogs safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, which is why I take every precaution to ensure that your dog feels right at home. My environment is pet-friendly and free from any hazards that could be harmful to your dog. I have plenty of space for your dog to play and explore, and we always keep a close eye on them to make sure they're happy and healthy.

About: Hello! Just a little bit about me :) I have had dogs all my life, I grew up with a bearded collie and a Yorke, then another border collie, and from 2020 I got a little rescue dog from Romania, she is amazing, but still very anxious and quirky! So I am used to dealing with anxious doggies and those that need a more slow approach. I have experience with other animals such as horses, I rode for over 10 years and my mum still has a horse so I try to ride when I have time! I also had a little tabby cat for 22 years! Before she passed away. I have volunteered at bleakholt in the past walking dogs and looking after the horses. I am kind, friendly and caring and have always had a way with animals. Please let me know if you would like to meet beforehand, I am available for day sitting and overnight sitting. Thanks! I am available from June onwards, I am an Occupational Therapy student In my second year at Cumbria University, I am coming up to my 3 month summer break at the end of May therefore will have plenty of time for animal sitting. I also work on the NHS bank as a mental health support worker. I will listen to and ensure I follow instructions set out by the animals owners regarding meals, meal times, walks, and the animals likes and dislikes.

About: I have looked after dogs since I was 13 years old; walking, boarding and caring for. These were through my neighbours, friends and other companies. I thoroughly enjoy showing the dogs love and attention where their owners can’t and help the time pass better for them :) I am working 7 month contracts away with a period in between for rest so I have lots of free time out of my contract. There are many lovely parks around to take your fur babies and give them all the energy release they need. My garden is also fully enclosed with no other animals in the house to startle them.

About: I am currently studying at university on Tuesdays 1-4 and Thursdays 9-12 however i would love to help anyone struggling with dog care. I am available pretty much everyday! I love looking after my dog called Rocky and would love to help out anyone struggling with theirs who maybe have to work and need some help! I have had my dog for 2 years and i helped look after my nans jack russell also i use to have 2 labradors when i was younger, so i am very fond of dogs! I am an early riser and walk many miles daily. I love looking after any type of dogs and take good care of them as if they were my own ! I have a crate for my dog at home and look after my dog well he is very loved 🥰. I love walking so they would be on lots of walkies! My dog would not be with me when i am looking after yours!

About: As a pet enthusiast, I’ve had experience working in an independent pet store, a vet centre and as a trainee dog groomer.. It was always inevitable that I’d end up owning dogs and my first was a rescue dog who needed a lot of support with her reactivity to other dogs - my knowledge in this area is vast and I’m more than happy to take care of dogs with similar challenges and other behaviours. I’m confident with larger dog breeds and XL breeds also. Dogs are a girls best friend, I’m living proof 😂 I’m currently self employed and looking to take on dog walking/sitting/playing as an extra that will bring me a lot of joy! I have lots of spare hours in my week where an (extra) furry companion wouldn’t go amiss I can take care of dogs within my own home as I’ve ample space with a large garden which is fenced out to provide two separate areas. I’m able to travel to provide visits to dogs who may need company, snuggles and treats. With good knowledge of local walks and quieter routes (thanks to my reactive dog who sadly passed) I’m able to provide walks for all personalities and behaviours.
