“Sam is a brilliant dog sitter, Tala took to him straightaway when we met up and when I dropped her off for her daycare today, she immediately remembered where she was and couldn't wait to get it the house :-) She had a lovely day with Sam, plenty of time outside and lots of attention. She came back to me happy and relaxed, thank you Sam!”

“Anindita was absolutely brilliant with Cookie, it was our first time using Rover & Cookie is very attached to us so I wasn’t sure how it would go, but from the moment we saw Anindita, Cookie warmed to Anindita immediately. Anindita was calm with Cookie while they accustomed to one another & they played a little together & Cookie settled quickly. I felt so relieved & comfortable leaving Cookie with Anindita, I will definitely rebook again, thank you Anindita :-)”

“Alison looked after our boys for the second time. They were very pleased to see her again, and they settled quickly and started to play. I cannot stress enough that it is such a good idea that Alison takes one dog owner at a time. If you have a nervous and anxious dog, let's say, they will get all her attention and be able to settle nicely while not needing to tolerate any other dogs they haven't met before, which can be stressful. I recommend Alison highly.”

“Layla had a wondeful time with Nicola and Jake who were absolutely excellent! Easy and clear communication from first contact, highly flexible with drop off and pick up times and gave Layla plenty of love, attention and exercise. She came back a happy and tired dog each day! Highly recommend and will certainly be our go to sitter from now on! 😁”

“As we live in a quiet village it was lovely to leave Frank for dog-sitting in such a rural location. Mark and Fee obviously love dogs and were very welcoming. Frank was very happy when we picked him up and obviously enjoyed his long walk. Would definitely have no worries leaving Frank for a longer stay (if they would have him back!)”

“Scout had the best day staying with Sophie. She played all day with Spencer. Sophie is a fantastic host, reliable, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend her. She sent brilliant photos and video of Scouts stay.”

About: I am a professional lady who works for the NHS and am a huge dog lover of all types and sizes. I have looked after dogs for over 20 years now. They have full run of the house and are welcome on all furniture. My flexible working hours allow me to mostly work at home - ensuring dogs get the attention, love and lots of walks. My work is very flexible and I mostly work from home. Pets come first in this household-making sure they are cared for, loved and most importantly have lots of lovely dog walks. Our firm favourite is Plymbridge Woods. I have a safe and secure small garden, a dog flap if needed. They have the full run of my house and I only ever have one dog boarding to ensure your pooch gets the love and attention they need.

About: I’ve taken care of friend’s dogs for the last 5 years. Our amazing boxer dog died in March and we really miss having a dog around the house- so would be honoured to look after yours. I am on maternity leave until the end of 2026 so can provide lots of care for your dogs as I am at home a lot. Looking forward to connecting ❤️ I’m on maternity leave until the end of 2026 so have lots of flexibility to fit around your pet and am at home a lot of the time. I have a fenced garden and am close to lots of lovely parks for nice walks. In the afternoons and weekends we enjoy walking near the sea. Dogs are welcome on our sofa, in our bedroom and anywhere they want 😊

About: I've had a love if pets since I was a child. I believe I'd give your furry friends a great time 🙂 my children also have a love of animals too I'm currently unemployed due to the holidays and caring for my 8yr old son who has additional needs. I'd love to look after your furry friends in my spare time I have a courtyard with a gate separating from the neighbours, which are both lovely. There is a few friendly parks for me to walk the doggies

About: I've grown up around dogs, so having muddy paws around the house feels pretty normal to me. My grandad was a well respected vet, which meant I was lucky enough to meet dogs of all breeds, ages and personalities, including plenty of rescue dogs! I have just moved out of my parents house which has meant I no longer have my two beloved border terriers to keep me on my toes! I work from home full time so your dog won’t be left counting down the hours until you’re back. They’ll have plenty of company, lunch time walks and lots of cuddles of course! I work from home full time, so I’m lucky to have plenty of time during the day to look after your furry friend and keep them company! My partner also has a flexible job, which means we would happily adapt to their routine and make sure they are well looked after. I’m active and love spending time outdoors, so getting out for walks is something I really enjoy! Whether they’re up for a longer walk or just a good explore of the local area, I’d love to have them join me and become part of my day. We have a fenced garden with lots of room for your dog to run around and enjoy some outdoor time! There are plenty of walking spaces nearby, including a forest 5 minutes walk away, so there are lots of options for longer walks and shorter strolls. We’re not a strict household, if your dog is allowed on the sofa at home, they’ll be more than welcome to relax on ours too! We’ll always try to keep them to their usual routine and make sure they feel comfortable while they’re with us.
“Jess and Joel took excellent care of Otto. They were super kind, caring and sent me regular updates about how Otto was doing. It is it was Ottos first experience of going to a loving home for a few days and I can highly recommend Jess and Joel. Thank you.”

About: I have always been surrounded by pets and have grown up caring for animals alongside my family. As my parents and grandparents have gotten older, I have become a reliable and trusted dog walker and cat sitter for several years. My parents much-loved Border Collie, needs plenty of playful attention, exercise, affection and companionship. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved and cared for when their families are away. I would love the opportunity to give your pets that same care, attention and love while helping you feel confident that they are in safe hands. Myself and my partner have different work schedules to fit around pet care. When I am working, my partner is currently on maternity leave so is able to care for your pets. We have a fenced garden and lots of local walks near the house. We have enough space for a crate should your dog prefer this and plenty of space to play and roam.
“Bridget was fabulous throughout! We were visiting Plymouth for a family funeral so didn’t really know what to expect. We had several communications before our dogs stayed, which put our minds at rest. Bridget was quick to respond to messages and keen to help. She also gave us regular updates and videos through the day. We couldn’t have asked for better care. I would thoroughly recommend Bridget and will definitely book again when we’re down in Plymouth. Thank you from Izzy and Jet too 🦮🐕🦺🐾”

About: Happy, caring and energetic dog walker looking for new 4 footed friends to walk. I have ample experience walking many different dogs. I love a good long walk, don't know who enjoys its more, me or the dogs! i'm also very happy to host a dog or 2 in my house. I will happily do pop in visits for dogs that are at home all day. I have been caring for animals for many years, I grew up surrounded by animals, mainly dogs. for much of my teenage life i worked in a stables where i would help care for the 13 (yes 13!) stable dogs that ruled the roost. I have also volunteered at a few animal shelters where I would help acclimatise strays by being their primary carer. I currently have a small female dog and a large male (neutered) tabby cat. Both are friendly and welcoming to guests. I have an enclosed garden for pets to Enjoy and I’m a 2 min walk from Tothill park, a wonderful place for dog socialising and exercise. In April 2026 I welcomed my son into the world so our guests need to be ok with children. Look forward to meeting you all soon!
“Absolutely bloody marvelous. Amazing communication throughout the process, and kept our puppy busy and having loads of fun throughout the whole day. Photos of his day were of really high quality, and it was possible to see he was very much enjoying himself throughout. 10,000% will use again!”

Hannah and Jordan are a delightful couple and gave my dog Tala a fabulous day, she even got to go for a swim in the sea! I think she'd happily move in with them...It's great to know that your pet is in such good hands - I will definitely be booking Hannah and Jordan again. Thank you both so much, Tala is a very happy dog :-)

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We left our two dogs for part of the day while we attended our daughter’s university graduation, and it gave us complete peace of mind knowing they were so well cared for. I was particularly worried beforehand because one of our dogs can be quite anxious and barky in new situations. I needn’t have worried at all. From the moment we arrived, both dogs settled straight away, which immediately put us at ease. She was warm, friendly and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. She kept us updated with lovely photos throughout the day, which was so reassuring and allowed us to fully enjoy the celebrations without worrying. When we collected them, both dogs were happy, relaxed and incredibly chilled, which says everything about the care and attention they received. They had obviously felt safe, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed their time with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and trustworthy dog daycare. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dogs and helping make our daughter’s graduation day even more special.

Nikita looked after Casper for a day and was brilliant from start to finish. She spent time making sure he got on with her dog, who is very energetic. They immediately started playing and clearly had a great time together (as shown by the photos!) When we picked him up his behaviour immediately showed that he loved Nikita and he was still playing with her dog happily. Very happy - will use again :-)

Georgie was able to take Cleo overnight at the last minute which was so helpful and I felt so relaxed leaving her at her home with Nala! Georgie was happy to follow all instructions given and did a great job of looking after Cleo, I will definately ask her again next time. Thank you! 💗

Sam is a brilliant dog sitter, Tala took to him straightaway when we met up and when I dropped her off for her daycare today, she immediately remembered where she was and couldn't wait to get it the house :-) She had a lovely day with Sam, plenty of time outside and lots of attention. She came back to me happy and relaxed, thank you Sam!

Kate did an amazing job looking after my young Springer Junie for the day. She's a high energy pup and had never been with a sitter before so I was a little worried but Kate was brilliant. She kept me updated, took her on some great walks and sent some lovely photos. Junie came home exhausted in the evening so clearly had an amazing day! I would highly recommend - thank you so much Kate

Nicola has been wonderful. She looked after our Otis (who has never been with anyone other than us, family and friends) who wasn’t sure when we left him with her at first but he soon settled in and was snuggling, playing and eating in no time. Nicola sent regular updates with photos which was lovely to receive. We tried Otis with Nicola just for a day and we will certainly be booking her for boarding in the future! Thanks Nicola for being amazing 🙏🏼

Laura is absolutely lovely, easy-going, and brilliant with dogs - Tala adores her! She looked after Tala really well, took her on long walks and gave her plenty of attention. On Tala's second time with Laura, Tala ran right into the house as soon as Laura opened the door, obviously feeling at home there and happy to come back. I would definitely recommend Laura as a dog-sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
