About: I have always had a profound love for all animals, especially dogs and a passion to look after them. I have had a variety of animals around me my whole life and I am experienced in caring for all breeds dogs. I would love to help someone out who has work commitments or deserves a holiday/break by looking after their fur child, I would ensure they have lots of love, cuddles, walks and attention. I live in Exeter and work from home so can be very flexible around your schedule and adapt to your pets requirements where needed. I have a Cavalier King Charles called Ruby who would love a play date or a walking buddy! Ruby is brilliant with children and a registered therapy dog. I have years of experience caring for a variety of animals, so you can trust me to provide the highest standard of care to your pet. I'm passionate about animals and I'll do everything I can to ensure that they're healthy and happy.
About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since before I can remember. I am compassionate and caring about all animals. Can travel to your home. I am currently not working so I have plenty of time for pet pampering. I can walk your dog anytime during the week and visit your home to look after your pets. I have a fenced garden and also kennels. The kennels are bespoke dog kennels. Cats can be looked after in my home and can be separated from my 5 cats. I have had an enhanced DBS check carried out recently.
About: When I was younger we had guinea pigs (6 over the years). I am an auntie to 2 gorgeous bunnies, who I regularly take care of. Also a cousin of 2 very energetic dogs who have various sleepovers with me and lots of walks! Frequently take care of our neighbour's cats. I am currently a remote worker so have flexibility on location. I am out walking most mornings and evenings and would be great to have a little friend to accompany me! My house has a big back garden which is fenced off and enough space downstairs to accommodate furry guests. I am also situated next to the woods, great for walking.
“Leoni sat our dog for the day whilst we visited Cornwall. She was highly accommodating, personable and he absolutely loved his time with her (in fact, I’m not sure he wanted to come home). I’d definitely recommend her without hesitation. Thank you ☺️”

“Scout had the best day staying with Sophie. She played all day with Spencer. Sophie is a fantastic host, reliable, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend her. She sent brilliant photos and video of Scouts stay.”

“We met victoria last week in the park with our Siberian husky last week and he then went to Victoria's for the first time yesterday. Victoria was so good with leo and sending us photos of there day together will definitely be using victoria again for our boisterous husky. Thank you so much Leo was shattered”
“From pre stay to during and post daycare Mark and Fee were amazing, putting my mind at rest, with great f communicatiin, offer of updates during the day and time to chat on pick up. Nelson was settled from the get go. Great facilities too”

“Absolutely bloody marvelous. Amazing communication throughout the process, and kept our puppy busy and having loads of fun throughout the whole day. Photos of his day were of really high quality, and it was possible to see he was very much enjoying himself throughout. 10,000% will use again!”

“Altogether a fantastic experience. Georgie provided excellent care for our lovely girls. Nala was an excellent friend to our doggies too. We couldn't be more pleased and would strongly recommend Georgie to any dog owners looking for pet care. Thank you so much.”

“It was great to meet Ani, who was really good with our elderly collie. Ani sent us regular updates and photos and looked after our girl really well, taking her for walks and playing with her to keep her occupied. When we picked her up we could see that our dog had had a really good time and had been well looked after. Thank you Ani!”

“Joanne was great communicating and organising the plan for the day. Finn had lots of fun and felt really comfortable with her. He is now having a nice sleep after his day out, will definitely be asking Joanne to look after him again.”

“Having never used Rover before, I was a bit nervous, but Daryl quickly put me at ease. He’s been fantastic at reassuring me and sends detailed updates after each of Flossy’s visits. It’s clear from the way he cares for his own dog, Cooper, that Floss is in very safe and loving hands. She’s looking forward to building a new friendship with both Cooper and Daryl.”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life, having had family dogs and been the main walker/feeder I eventually got my own one in 2012 and eventually adding a second pup to the family in 2022. I do most of the grooming and clipping on top of the daily stuff I am currently available Most weekends and some weekdays I work a normal day job 4 days a week and do this as my passion (and hopefully one day full time). Any questions regarding my availability just drop me a message. I have a safe enclosed back yard ready for short notice toilet time, I can crate if needed with an extra large sized crate. Always have puppy pads at the ready and if you need assistance with basic grooming or bathing I can definitely help. In case of am emergency vet trip I can take them to wherever they need to go.
“Alison provides a calm, safe environment. Her house is located conveniently with two large parks. Alison looked after our boys for the very first time today, and we were very pleased with how she helped them make themselves at home and occupied them. She is trustworthy and a good communicator. We wouldn't hesitate to ask Alison to look after our boys again. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog care provider. Thank you, Alison!”

“Bridget was fabulous throughout! We were visiting Plymouth for a family funeral so didn’t really know what to expect. We had several communications before our dogs stayed, which put our minds at rest. Bridget was quick to respond to messages and keen to help. She also gave us regular updates and videos through the day. We couldn’t have asked for better care. I would thoroughly recommend Bridget and will definitely book again when we’re down in Plymouth. Thank you from Izzy and Jet too 🦮🐕🦺🐾”

About: We have had Milo for 8 years and regularly look after my best friends bedlington whippet. We will treat your dog like our own with lots of love. Joel works from home full time so is very flexible. I've just graduated from vet school, but don't start working until mid September, so I am around all day during the summer. We are very relaxed and will allow the dogs to be on the sofa and bed. We have a fenced garden and can let the dogs out as often as you would like us to. We would never leave your dog alone. Milo has lots of food allergies so we are very sensible and don’t leave food lying around etc.
“I couldn't have been happier with the care that Debra and her partner gave Chewie! I was constantly provided with updates and photos and could see he was having an amazing time which made it so much easier for me. Would 100% recommend them and use them again in the future! Thank you so much”

“Lucy was fantastic with Ted & Percy, great communication leading up to our visit and sent pictures etc during the day. Flexible with timing where needed which really helped, my boys came home very happy afterwards!”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
