About: I offer daycare and dog boarding for a small number of dogs, who will have me, my husband, and our own dog Rufus for company day and night. Rufus is an eight-year-old ''viszlador", a wire-haired viszla / lab cross. He gets on best with females, but he's also fine with males once properly introduced. We have no other pets. We take 2-3 daily walks on the footpaths, coastal paths and beaches of the area, and your dog will have access to our enclosed garden and plenty of toys. I work part-time from home, so I'm always around and am easily able to schedule in some play time and plenty of exercise. We have an enclosed garden and enclosed rear courtyard. Your dog will have access to their own spot in the house if he or she wants some quiet time away from any other dogs. We will agree in advance to any particular preferences you have, such as when (or if) it's OK to let your dog off the lead, sleeping arrangements, feeding schedule etc.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, having been brought up in the countryside with collies. My gorgeous labrador, Storm, is playful and very loving and comes first in every decision I make! I am incredibly passionate about dog welfare and nutrition and always strive to give them the best quality of life. I have always looked after my friends’ and family’s dogs and am proud of the trust they have in me for this. I work full time but fully remote, so I will always be at home to keep an eye on the doggos and have long walks at least twice a day, with toilet breaks whenever needed! I have a fully fenced garden for regular toilet breaks and perfect for dogs to lounge in good weather with lots of shade too. The house is very safe and I have plenty of dog beds dotted around for whichever space your dog best prefers!

About: I've been around dogs most of my life and have owned several dogs. My most recent dog, a Springer Spaniel, was with me for 13 years. Since he passed, I have looked after several of my friend's dogs. I am also registered with Guide Dogs as a Puppy Fosterer and have looked after lots of their dogs as well. I am retired so have lots of time to devote to your dog. I love going for long walks and exploring my local area. I also enjoy sea swimming. I have a fenced garden and 2 doors to my main front door offering extra security when I have visitors. I have plenty of space for a crate if needed.

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was 12. I'm currently not able to have my own but adore dogs and love the thought of helping someone in the Buckfastleigh and Ashburton area with theirs. I've done some sits for people through the House sitters website (last one was a Cockapoo) and also looked after my brother's Border Collie and my in-law's Lurchers so have experience with different size dogs. As I work from home most of the week and often go for walks in the morning, lunchtime, or evening after work. I'm here all day so can tend to a dog's needs. I can also easily nip out to walk your dog if needed. I don't have a garden but have some lovely walks in the area. If they're happy to sit at home on the sofa or a dog bed most of the day then my place is perfect. If I was coming to you during the day that would work too.

“This was a “meet and greet” at Vanessa’s home to check that Tilly and Sammy got on with her. Both doggies seemed to settle and relax during our visit and Vanessa was very calm and gentle with them and let them get to know her in their own time. It seems that they will have Vanessa’s undivided attention when they stay with her and will be allowed to lay on the sofa etc. Vanessa was interested to find out all the caring details for them in advance of their weekend visit next month and I will be preparing some detailed notes for each dog as requested to assist with this. This visit was very helpful for all involved and I’m hoping it will make Tilly and Sammy’s 1st stay away from home without me a happy experience for all.”

If you have a nervous and anxious dog, let's say, they will get all her attention and be able to settle nicely while not needing to tolerate any other dogs they haven't met before, which can be stressful. About: I have had dogs snd cats since I was little. I have looked after and walked people’s dogs since I was 18 and I love bonding with different breeds and ages of dogs. I currently live with my partner and his family and we have 6 of our own dogs…we’re a bit dog mad! They also do dog sitting and walking, so I have a lot of experience! I have helped train puppies I’ve looked after in the past and also helped care for dogs on the older side. I adore all animals and would be happy to look after yours if needed! I am free most days, Monday to Friday but also happy to pet sit over weekends. I provide dog walking from 10am - 4pm on weekdays I live in an old farm house with a huge fenced off garden. Dogs are allowed free range of the house most the day but will be shut in separate rooms at feeding time. They have constant access to the garden and will be able to toddle off in the house and find somewhere comfy to chill out!

About: I’ve looked after dogs since I was 10 whether that be my own dog a family dogs neighbours dogs washing them bathing them walking and feeding them and grooming them I am currently not working due to moving up this way recently so have full availability to come and dog sit play with your pets Monday to Friday anytime needed I have a contained garden and a friendly little dog who loves walks and being outside I can easily get a dog in a create if that is what’s needed

About: I've always been a bit dog obsessed from a young age and have had a number of dogs myself, including an English Setter rescue from Croatia who'd never lived in a home before & was anxious around many dogs, excluding my lovely Labradoodle, who was his safety blanket, so a lot of love, patience & training was required to give him his best final years of life. I currently have an extremely friendly & sociable Clumber Spaniel X bitch, 16 months old who loves life & would welcome any dog in her home for a day or sleepover/s. So, recent experience of older dogs who just want comfort, company, cuddles & a short stroll to a manic puppy who didn't have an off switch...which I've since found! I live within walking distance to fields & the coastline & work from home with a secure garden so can offer your dog a little holiday whilst you can enjoy yours guilt free knowing that they are happy too! I currently work part time from home, apart from Thursdays when I volunteer for Animals in Distress for 4hrs, so have plenty of time for walks & play time. I have a fenced in secure garden & have a large crate available for your dog if they feel more secure in a crate and they can enjoy the company of my very well socialised dog Clemmie. Should I ever need to pop out I have a Blink camera so that I can always keep eyes on!

About: From the age of 6 my family adopted a dog and I walked and cared for him. Since then I have always loved dogs and their very individual personalities. Every time I visit my father in Spain, I happily am the one who cares for his dog. I am currently looking for work that I can do online, so that when I do have work, I would also be able to be home with the dog. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I usually visit a friend to work on an art project, although should you require a full week of dog sitting, book in advance and I can rearrange this. The dog would have access to a fenced garden. There are a few parks locally where the dog can also relieve themselves and exercise. Dogs being pack animals do love attention and I love to pet.

About: I am self-employed, which gives me a lot of flexibility with my availability and hours. I also have two animal-loving children who are at nursery and school during the day, allowing me plenty of time for feeding visits, companionship, playtime and check-ins 🐱💕 I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their cats are safe, comfortable and well cared for while they are away. I always make sure pets have a calm, clean and secure environment, follow routines carefully, and give them plenty of attention, reassurance and fuss. I am respectful of owners’ homes and will always keep communication open with updates and photos if requested 😊
