“Our dog has had two mornings and now one overnight stay with Areta, these all went really well. Our dog is typically nervous around new people but she relaxed with Areta very quickly and Areta sent us a few short video clips on the overnight stay to show she was settling happily. Areta has a good set-up for accommodating her doggy clients and she puts a lot of thought into it. We will definitely be rebooking!”

“I wish I could give Naomi more than five stars. Our Labrador, Moose, has not enjoyed traditional kennels in the past, but with Naomi he seemed right at home instantly. She took him on great walks, had lots of enrichment and playtime, and took care of him as if he were one of her dogs. She kept us updated with pictures and Moose returned to us tired from the fun but obviously happy. I'd not hesitate to strongly recommend Naomi and will be bringing Moose back.”

About: Over 10 years of experience as a zookeeper has provided me with skills that are highly transferable. I have experience of operant conditioning (positive reinforcement focus) training methods, administering medications if needed, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of animal behaviour. I have had pet dogs all my life, but my most recent beloved dog, Woody passed away in 2022, caring for him in his later years means I have experience with senior dogs with arthritis and plenty of experience administering medication. I have a flexible, work from home job so available all weekdays. Optional to take dogs for weekends too dependent on planning in advance. We tend to spend our weekends exploring the coast path, so if your dog is able to join for walks that are around 5km+ then that’s perfect. I have a fenced garden, and live near a park where we can go for walks. I have no other pets currently, and would only be taking on dogs from one household.

About: I have looked after dogs many times in my life and I am willing to look after cats small animals, reptiles too. Just love it! I am currently doing an animal care course, but also have many of my own pets to look after. So I am very used to a schedule for feeding. I have a fairly big garden (fenced) big enough for up to a medium sized dog. I have knowledge on first aid with animals and my smaller animals are in secure housing.
