“Another wonderful experience! We left our Biscuit with Trina for two full weeks and come back to a very happy dog. Trina seemed to have folded her into the family, giving loads of walks, beach visits, and socialization to keep Biscuit engaged and comfortable. Very happy to work with Trina again in the future - thanks again for everything! 🐶”

“Octavia took wonderful care of Biscuit for 10 days! Many lovely updates with pics and videos of a very happy, well looked-after pup. I don’t think she wanted to come home in the end! It truly felt like Biscuit was welcomed into the family with Octavia and co, and I’m sure we’ll be trusting her to care for Biscuit again in the future. Thanks again for everything! x”

“Beaux had an amazing stay with Lucy, we have never used Rover before and was a bit unsure but he really loved staying with Lucy and her lovely family. He had plenty of walks and playtimes and we got updates daily with photos and how he was doing. I would definitely be using Lucy again and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for doggy care.”
“I was nervous to leave my boy with a dog sitter but I had no reason to worry at all. He has clearly had the best time being looked after by Nicky In her home. Regular updates of how he was getting on, and was great for him to make a new doggy friend too with Nicky’s own dog. I will be in touch next time he (I) need a holiday!!”

“This was our dog’s first overnight stay with Stacey, we were obviously a bit nervous, but Bobbie settled well. We had some lovely photos, video's & messages sent to reassure us throughout the day & evening. Stacey & her family were amazing with her, Bobbie looked so content & having the best time. We have already made a second booking with Stacey, because we know our dog will have a lovely time & be so well cared for. I cannot recommend Stacey highly enough. Thank you.”

“for zulu first time staying overnight and hearing that she bonded with all the family is amazing. Zulu truly loves coming to yours and spending time with all the family especially the spending time with the kids and making you all smile alot. She truly is spoilt when she there which is so lovely to see especially when i come and pick her up as this is what she gets a home. Thank you so much for the service and the update with photos and videos of zulu first time trying the car and the beach. You guys are truly outstanding and love the fact that you guys get to enjoy spending time with Zulu and enjoy her just like i do ❤️”

“We booked our dog, Nelly in with Claudia last minute due to being let down. She was really accommodating, making sure she knew everything about Nelly before she arrived. Claudia kept in touch during the whole stay, sending videos, photos and updates. Nelly had a fantastic time and looked like she had a better holiday than we did.”

“Once again Alison was perfect. Bobbie was so content & comfortable. I received regular photo & messages to reassure us all was ok. We cannot speak highly enough of Alison. Thank you, you are a star.”

About: From the age of 6 my family adopted a dog and I walked and cared for him. Since then I have always loved dogs and their very individual personalities. Every time I visit my father in Spain, I happily am the one who cares for his dog. I am currently looking for work that I can do online, so that when I do have work, I would also be able to be home with the dog. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I usually visit a friend to work on an art project, although should you require a full week of dog sitting, book in advance and I can rearrange this. The dog would have access to a fenced garden. There are a few parks locally where the dog can also relieve themselves and exercise. Dogs being pack animals do love attention and I love to pet.
“Thank you so much Ella for looking after Florence so well, you really cared for her in her latter years and she looks great, I appreciate your photos and messages while I was away, having an older pet and having to leave them is hard, but you have made this process very comfortable for both of us. Thank you Gary”

About: I've been around dogs most of my life and have owned several dogs. My most recent dog, a Springer Spaniel, was with me for 13 years. Since he passed, I have looked after several of my friend's dogs. I am also registered with Guide Dogs as a Puppy Fosterer and have looked after lots of their dogs as well. I am retired so have lots of time to devote to your dog. I love going for long walks and exploring my local area. I also enjoy sea swimming. I have a fenced garden and 2 doors to my main front door offering extra security when I have visitors. I have plenty of space for a crate if needed.
“Annie looked after Nora for 10 nights. She waa so patient and kind when Nora was extremely anxious. Even Annie's husband gave her time and space to get used to him. We will definitely book Nora to stay with Annie again and can"t recommend her highly enough!!”

“Definitely recommend Mark & Donna if you are new to looking for a dog sitter / family for your pet. We had never used someone that we didn’t know before for our sausage dog Reggie and I so pleased that we found Mark & Donna. Reggie had a great time and Mark kept us updated with photos , videos and messages over the weekend which was great. Reggie looked like he had the best time and made some cute four legged friends as well as humans 🥰 Thank you for making the whole process easy and comfortable for us. Would definitely use again.”

“Hannah & Jordan took such wonderful care of Woody, he has had a brilliant time with multiple walks per day in different locations, swims, brushes and cozy sofa time and cuddles. We felt really bad that we couldn't bring Woody away with us and were nervous leaving him but Hannah & Jordan sent us lots of photos and messages each day. They were also flexible when we were delayed by an hour. It feels as though Woody has had a holiday and has been so well cared for! We would definitely recommend Hannah & Jordan.”

“Our dog Mia stayed with Jacqui for a week whilst we were away on holiday. The communication was great and we loved seeing all the pictures and videos of Mia on her walks. Mia was well looked after and had the best time! We will definitely book Jacqui again if we go away. Thank you! Steph”

“Absolutely fantastic! Great communication from enquiring, to booking a visit to make sure our dog got in well with Barney, to booking, before our stay and durn, we had regular videos and photos and communication with Matthew, when we messsaged we would get a reply pretty instantly which was lovely being our first time away from Belle. She has come back happy and content and believe that is all down to Matthew and the family making her so welcome, keeping her routines and the way she likes her bed and things. Thank you so so much, we will be booking again for this year as we feel so comfortable at ease, and Belle instantly took you.”

“Bridget and fam were wonderful hosts for our puppy (17 months) Angus. He loved playing with their older dog and Bridget clearly took great care of Angus because he slept for a full day after we returned. We are so grateful that we found such a nice family to care for Angus, it made our vacation much more relaxing knowing that he was in great hands.”

“Our puppy Teddy has just stayed with Vanessa for 9 nights. We felt Vanessa provided a home from home in a relaxed environment. Vanessa sent regular updates and photos throughout his stay. We are pleased we have found someone we can trust to take good care of Ted. He loved his time there. Thank you so much Vanessa.”

“Bryony took very good care of our three cats. She ensured that they were fed and watered and kept us updated on how they were. Bryony is a very friendly and pleasant person to deal with. We would thoroughly recommend her. (And as first time app users we found the system of notifications to be very good).”

About: I spend my career taking care of loved pets, and I'd like to offer the same on my days off. I own a French bulldog who is basically my child - animals, especially dogs, have been my true love my whole life I try to include being around dogs as much as possible into my week (for my own sanity), I typically have Wednesday, Friday and Saturday off work so I'd love to help as many neighbours I do not accept dog boarding as I have my own dog who can be funny around certain breeds. However I life by the rule of dogs are family and mine certainly can share any space in my house to the highest standard and the most amount of cuddles

“Catriona was lovely to meet and our cat was well behaved and happy to play with her. Followed our instructions whilst away and kept to agreed visit times. Would recommend her if looking for a cat sitter.”

“Sophie was a pleasure to deal with and made everything feel easy from the start. Communication was clear and relaxed, and we felt confident leaving our cats in her care. While we were away, she spent proper time with them and looked after them thoughtfully, and the regular photos and updates helped us relax knowing they were in good hands. When we got home, the cats were calm, settled, and clearly very content. Sophie is reliable, kind, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Millie was so good and kept us fully informed and sent us Lovely Photos too. What a really Nice Girl and Billy appeared to enjoy the attention he got from her. If he could talk he’d say she was Purrfect Lol at looking after him. Definitely recommend Millie and we will ask her again if we need someone for Billy Thank you Millie”

Peace of mind while we was away”

About: Taken care of dogs my whole life; I am now I’m a Police Officer aspiring to become a Police Dog Handler. The combination of my caring and responsible nature with my passion for dogs makes me a good choice for taking your dog. I work on a rolling shift pattern working 4 days on & 4 days off a week. I therefore have lots of free time, just have to organise in advance:) I would take care of your pet at all times when it is in my care. I don’t will aim to have all vet details incase of emergencies and u will always be available to get in contact with.
About: A true animal lover, I have had many myself since I was a child growing up on a farm in the mountains of Andorra: horse, cats, rabbits, dogs, pigs, cows, sheep...I was lucky enough to be able to take my dogs with me to study at Plymouth University- marine biology and oceanography. Therefore, your furry best friend will also have the chance to make new pawsome mates to spend time with and above all, never get bored. My two dogs are called Salsa (jack russell cross) and Billie Eilish (working cocker spaniel), both part time working dogs for pack Boar hunt, mountain goat finds and rabbit hunt. More about myself- I did several weeks of volunteering in a veterinary clinic which gave me the energy needed, skills and patience with sick or old animals. Gentle, jovial and energetic in nature, I would be delighted to enjoy the outdoors with your furry friend during various walks a day, to clean it, feed it and of course to give as much love and cuddles as necessary. Serious and dynamic, I listen to your needs and those of your animal so that he feels as good as possible in your absence and during his stay with me and my partner which lives home aswell. I live near the Hoe and I can travel around Plymouth or its surrounding areas having my car here I offer pick up and drop off services! I am a student at the University of Plymouth and study marine biology and oceanography which means a lot of time at the beach with the pups to fill in this notebooks! I propose long stay and short stay as i don’t go out and live with my fiancé who is also a doggo lover! As previously said, I live by the Hoe which means it is a quick walk to a nice open space for dogs to exercise which is like a garden to me as walks are around 3-4 times a day for my two gorgeous girls. I also do have a little garden on the back of the flat which is secure but small that i therefore don’t use. During bad weather I use sniffin’ games, play hide and seek and get my pups to learn new tricks which could do with yours aswell :) Usually on a basis nice day and weekend we go 3h to the moors or Plymbridge to play and evening rest and walkies around the park. Sundays we go to central park and have an amazing time chasing squirrels or playing fetch ! We also go biking or rest depending on the energy of the dog!
“Aneta looked after our dogs for the first time at the weekend, they warmed to her instantly and she took time to understand what our dogs liked/disliked. We’ve rebooked Aneta for a week or so in September and we feel happy and comfortable knowing our dogs are in good hands.”

“I came across this app by chance as was in need of help to pop on to see my little boy whilst I had to go to work. Myself and my partners rosters didn’t match on this occasion. I messaged Beth to arrange a meeting first hand before committing; she happily agreed to meet Mylo and brought him round some treats to gain his trust. I honestly couldn't praise this girl enough and within seconds of meeting her I knew I could trust her with my little boy. Beth was on time to each visit and sent me photos of Mylo whilst in her care. Beth I thank you so very much, I will definitely msg you again when I need your help In the future; you’ve made a forever friend in Mylo. ?”

“We booked Rebecca to look after our dog as we were going to be out for a prolonged period of time. She came over to the house the day before for a meet and greet and we could instantly tell she’s an animal lover and a natural with dogs. She was very friendly and professional, asking all the right questions. We booked a dog walk and then a sit in the house later on, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated with her movements and sent lots of photos and videos throughout. Our dog Herb had the most wonderful time and she was so tired and chilled when we got back after playing all day with her new friends (Rebecca’s two dogs that she met). We will most definitely be using Rebecca again and can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, having been brought up in the countryside with collies. My gorgeous labrador, Storm, is playful and very loving and comes first in every decision I make! I have always looked after my friends’ and family’s dogs and am proud of the trust they have in me for this. I work full time but fully remote, so I will always be at home to keep an eye on the doggos and have long walks at least twice a day, with toilet breaks whenever needed! I have a fully fenced garden for regular toilet breaks and perfect for dogs to lounge in good weather with lots of shade too. The house is very safe and I have plenty of dog beds dotted around for whichever space your dog best prefers!

“I left my 5month old puppy Louie with Frances to attend a family funeral. She took excellent care of Louie and communication before the booking and throughout the booking was great! He was a very happy puppy spending time with Frances, and she provided the best care for him during the heatwave. She even had a toy for him waiting and he seemed to prefer it from his toys! That was such a nice touch to know that my puppy was in good hands. She was also very respectful of our puppy rule: our puppy is a dachshund breed and is forbidden to go up/down the stairs and has to be picked up in a certain way. Frances was happy to accommodate our needs. I will definitely make another book with her in the future!”

“First visit and Marley was clearly happy when we collected him. Vanessa clearly has a good understanding of dogs and observant to his behaviour. More than happy to leave him with her in Jan.”

“Bramble went in with her tail wagging and came out looking happy and exhausted, ready to go home. She is a high energy dog and appears to have loved spending the day playing with Mia's dog and having an awesome walk with her new friend. Mia sent lots of photos throughout the day and chatted to me lots prior to the day as I was anxious about leaving Bramble, but she did a great job putting my worries to rest. Overall a great experience for Bramble and we were able to leave her with the peace of mind that we knew she was safe and having fun. Will definitely leave her with Mia again if we are in the area and need a sitter :)”

“A regular here. My boys are so comfortable around Alison now that Kai, my 'aloof Shiba Inu with attitude', let Alison rub his tummy for the first time today, and they weren't in a hurry to come home with me! 😆 Thank you, Alison. Till next time! X”

About: Hi, I'm a lifelong animal lover and proud owner of Eddie, my little cockapoo. I'm based in Plympton but willing to travel too. I offer calm, reliable drop-in visits for dogs and cats, as well as dog walks, so your pets stay happy, comfortable, and well looked after while you're away. I understand that every animal has their own personality — some dogs want adventure, some cats just want quiet company — and I'm happy to follow their lead. I know how much your pets mean to you, so my goal is always to give you peace of mind while making sure they feel safe and loved. I'm a full-time teacher in Plymouth and so weekdays I am available late afternoon and evenings, on the weekends I can be more flexible. Visiting your pet in their own home means they get to stay in a familiar environment, stick to their normal routine, and avoid the stress of being somewhere new. I'll make sure everything is just as you'd want it — topped up food and water, plenty of attention, and a tidy, comfortable space for them to relax in. Your home and your pet will be treated with the utmost care and respect.
About: I have had dogs snd cats since I was little. I have looked after and walked people’s dogs since I was 18 and I love bonding with different breeds and ages of dogs. I currently live with my partner and his family and we have 6 of our own dogs…we’re a bit dog mad! They also do dog sitting and walking, so I have a lot of experience! I have helped train puppies I’ve looked after in the past and also helped care for dogs on the older side. I adore all animals and would be happy to look after yours if needed! I am free most days, Monday to Friday but also happy to pet sit over weekends. I provide dog walking from 10am - 4pm on weekdays I live in an old farm house with a huge fenced off garden. Dogs are allowed free range of the house most the day but will be shut in separate rooms at feeding time. They have constant access to the garden and will be able to toddle off in the house and find somewhere comfy to chill out!

About: I have had big responsibility to look after many animals growing up. I am currently living away from home and I miss my animals, my dog (see profile picture) and I’m desperate to start involving myself around animals again. I have also done house sitting, mainly family members growing up, more of a good gesture but now I live away from home I have started to think of different ways to get out of the house. It’s more for me rather than money if I am honest. I find myself very responsible and trust worthy, I respect people and care for animals dearly. I wouldn’t say I have years of paid experience with looking after homes or animals but I have years worth of love for them. If you let me know in advance, I can sort your schedule around you. I am easy to your schedule as my shifts change so I can request different things as I work full time. I will chill with your dog. If you want me to keep them out then they will be out. If you want me to take them out I will. If you want me to crate them, I may do. Your call.

“5 stars! Bridget and Nick along with their adorable pup Presley made Stanley's stay a great one. Stanley was immediately comfortable with them and their beautiful home, and the enclosed yard is a major bonus! I enjoyed the text updates and pictures they sent to me, but mostly the level of comfort I have leaving my precious buddy in someone else's care!”

About: I’ve been looking after friends and family dogs all my life as well as caring for my own. I’ve always loved dogs and drawing them! I am currently free all day every day due to a break in uni so I am available whenever you need me!! night or day I am very energetic and can keep your dog occupied and busy and tire them out for when you get back, i’ll keep them fed and hydrated so you have nothing to worry about

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was 12. I'm currently not able to have my own but adore dogs and love the thought of helping someone in the Buckfastleigh and Ashburton area with theirs. I've done some sits for people through the House sitters website (last one was a Cockapoo) and also looked after my brother's Border Collie and my in-law's Lurchers so have experience with different size dogs. As I work from home most of the week and often go for walks in the morning, lunchtime, or evening after work. I'm here all day so can tend to a dog's needs. I can also easily nip out to walk your dog if needed. I don't have a garden but have some lovely walks in the area. If they're happy to sit at home on the sofa or a dog bed most of the day then my place is perfect. If I was coming to you during the day that would work too.

“Ela is absolutely incredible with our pup, this was a last minute booking and she had no problem taking Oakley for the day for us. Oakley has fallen madly in love with Ela and enjoys every minute in her care.”

“Leaving Bailey with someone for the first time in eleven years was a bit nerve-wracking, but Anindita was wonderful. From the moment we met, she put me at ease. She took such good care of Bailey and kept me in the loop with lovely photos and messages, which meant a lot while I was at my nephew’s wedding. Bailey was so happy and well cared for, and I could tell he had lots of love and attention. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind and caring to look after their dog. Thank you so much!”

“Jay has got such a lovely way with dogs. The last thing I saw as I left Rufus with Jay, was him sitting wagging his tail as Jay found him a fresh bone to chew! Very happy dog! And very chilled when I collected him later. Rufus is already booked in for two more visits. Thank you Jay ?”

“So happy with the dog walking service provided by Alex. He has been very flexible when it comes to availability at short notice and arrival times etc. We have a large, powerful husky but that didn’t phase him at all. He is very friendly and reassuring and our dog seemed to really enjoy going out for walks with him. He would send me a message when he was on his way to us and send photos of her, while they were out. I will definitely be booking him in the future and would certainly recommend him to others 🙂 Thanks Alex 👍”

About: I spent six years+ at Dogs Trust, which taught me so much more than just animal care. I learned patience, how to read behaviour, and how to stay calm under pressure. Working with rescue dogs really shaped my empathy and ability to build trust, skills I carry into everything I do now. I have availability for pop ins and walks most days, and for pet sitting until June. Pet sitting will resume 2027. Please also see my social media for availability: Ivy paws dog walking As well as being canine first aid trained, I have extensive experience in looking after dogs of all sizes and temperaments in different home environments. “It’s my first time using Rover. Sophie was so easy to communicate with! She sent me so many photos which reassured me that my dog was having a wonderful time! I would highly recommend and will be using Sophie again ☺️ Thank you”

About: From looking after multiple dogs, house sitting and using rover to find my doggo Lennie a place to stay when I go away - Rover is brilliant! I have always had dogs, and trained Lennie along with some of his doggo friends. I would love to be able to care for more doggos! I have had multiple dogs stay before and had a great time. I currently have flexibility, whether that’s needing a house dog sitter or walks Monday - Sunday. Lennie can join for walks or I can walk your dog separately. Lennie also doesn’t have to come for overnight stays if preferred no other dog to be there. I am good at noticing dogs behaviours, and having Lennie the place is set up for dogs! All food far away from access, tons of water bowls and fenced garden. Lennie is very good with other dogs in the house, and if I noticed a doggo feeling anxious or unwell I would straight away notify and make sure they are as comfortable as they can be.

I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 gerbils of my own but still have plenty of time to take some more doggos for a walk in the mornings before work. I have experience with animals of all sizes/temperament. Let me know what your dogs favourite things are (wether that’s fetch, runs, or water) and I’d love to make sure they have the best time while they are in my care.

About: I have been a dog owner for over 10 years, I walk a 45kg rescue dog weekly and have done so for 5 years, she is the best medicine to cure the mind and soul. A gentle giant who when rescued was terrified of people and other dogs. With practise and love she very quickly became a beautifully gentle and calm giant who loved cuddles and woodland walks. I have a miniature dachshund who is very sociable. My family have a total of 11 dogs, from Miniature Dachshunds to Border Collies, Rottweilers to Jack Russell's. They all meet up for regular walks so are well socialised with other dogs and people. I love nothing more then walking and caring for the fur babies and giving them a nurturing home. I have been a dog sitter and walker for family and friends for many years and would love to look after your pet/pets whether this be a walk, evening stay, socialising or just general care. Feel free to contact me to go through any questions you have. I work full time, Monday to Friday.

Thank you.”

Thank you! Steph”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Matt! He looked after our dog Nellie for a week, and from start to finish, he was absolutely fantastic. Matt was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding with Nellie, taking the time to make sure she felt comfortable, settled, and happy throughout her stay. It was clear that he genuinely cared about her wellbeing and treated her as if she were his own. One thing we especially appreciated was how regularly Matt kept us updated. He frequently sent us photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Seeing Nellie happy, relaxed, and enjoying herself made all the difference and allowed us to fully enjoy our trip knowing she was in such good hands. We are so grateful for the care, attention, and dedication Matt showed. Nellie had a wonderful time, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter. Thank you, Matt!”

“Absolutely amazing service provided! Daily photos and updates, our dog looked so happy! Honey will 100% be back, thank you for looking after her the way you did. We highly recommend Amber 👌🏻”

“This is the 3rd time Sophie has looked after our fur baby and I could honestly never go elsewhere now. The love she gives our girl when she’s in her care is impeccable, she really does love her like her own. I really cannot recommend Sophie enough for everything she does and the care she provides”

“We are extremely pleased that we found Rhys on Rover. Rhys was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Rhys sent us photos throughout our Cocker’s stay, and it was clear that our boy felt at home with him. He was well and truly worn out when we picked him up from all the wonderful walks Rhys took him on. We are very grateful to Rhys and certainly be using him again in the future.”
