“An absolute 5-star experience! Having recently moved to the Bodmin area, it was incredibly daunting to look for a new sitter for our beloved and pampered dog, Barley. However, meeting Terry and Susan (Megan's parents) beforehand completely put our minds at ease as they would be looking after him on the day. Barley spent the day with them yesterday whilst we attended our daughter's graduation in Exeter, and we could not have asked for better care. They looked after him brilliantly, treated him like one of the family, and sent us lovely picture updates which we really appreciated. Terry and Susan made us feel so comfortable and reassured from start to finish. Barley loved his cuddles with Terry (The Dog Whisperer). We are incredibly grateful to have found such caring, trustworthy sitters locally and will definitely be booking with them again!”

“Absolutely fantastic our two border terriers absolutely love them! To the point today they fan in so fast I had to let go of the leash and that was our boy who is normally a right cling on! Am defiantly going to use them again such a lovely caring couple!”

“Maggie had a wonderful day being looked after by Conny. It was lovely to receive photos of her adventures throughout the day, they really put my mind at rest as it was obvious she was being well looked after and having a great time. Maggie can’t wait for her next visit! Thank you for making her so welcome in your home 🐾”

About: I have lots of experience with all different kinds of dogs including my own Pointer x Labrador dog called Poppy. I use walks as an opportunity to fine tune her training with lots of praise and treats.
“Louise was so helpful, looking after Chia very last minute and giving her a lovely day. Chia immediately felt comfortable with Louise and Louise made sure to ensure that Chia was happy with her. Her partner is also a vet and was around so between them, Chia received a lot of love. I was very grateful to leave Chia with Louise and know that Chia would love to go back one day!”

“Abigail has been amazing with our 2 dogs. Ella is people reactive in the home and Abigail spent time getting to know her and making her feel safe. They are now the best of friends and I feel so relaxed leaving them both with Abigail, knowing they are happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abigail to anyone.”

“My dog Juno always has fun with Jenny. She is generally a clingy cockapoo, but she’s always happy for me to leave her with Jenny for the day. Thanks again for looking after her so well.”

“This is my first time using Rover, Tammy made me feel really at ease, inviting me over to the house before the day to check I was happy with everything and sending me messages and pictures throughout. Her and her husband were really nice and I will definitely use again if I need a sitter near Newquay. Thank you Tammy !”

“Was down in Newquay for a SUP Surf camp and as weather pretty warm wanted a dog sitter for during the day. Luckily Harriet was free, Agatha loved her time there, (was whining with excitement on the 2nd day as we turned down to the house). Harriet was flexible on the timings, when I ran a bit later than planned the 2nd day. Agatha had a good walk along with a chill on the sofa, would highly recommend and use again if I’m down in Newquay.”

About: I moved to Cornwall for university and soon found the passion for surfing. I now live in Cornwall and have been looking after dogs for several years now. Moving to Cornwall on my own has made me very independent, but also very flexible. Which means pet care fits easily into my day to day routine. I have a few small jobs that I can schedule around the dog sitting, so I'm able to give pets plenty of time and attention. I thrive on having a routine and living an active, healthy lifestyle. When looking after pets. I understand how important routine is, including regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, especially as different breeds have different needs. With my active lifestyle, i genuinely enjoy walks, runs, and spending time outdoors, so keeping dogs happy and exercised comes naturally to me. When I'm caring for pets in their own home, I'm always respectful, tidy and minimal, making sure everything is kept just as the owners expect.

About: I trained me Sprocker Spaniel who is still a puppy. This involved basic commands and recall. He is well behaved, well socialised and a happy dog :) I run my own business so have good flexibility during the week and at weekends. I won't be out for more than 3 to 4 hours and I can walk, feed and socialise them inbetween. I will be there to look over them most of the day..I may leave for 3 to 4 hours but will make sure they've been walked and fed before so.
“We were in need of a last minute sitter while on holidays near Padstow. Carly could not have been more accommodating and easy to deal with. Professional, great communicator and highly trustworthy. Best of all, when Nutmeg came back for day 2, he bounded into Carly’s home like it was his own having clearly enjoyed his prior visit. Will definitely be using Carly again.”

“Annabelle is such a chilled, caring and reliable dog sitter, Teddy loved her and he was relaxed and happy when we returned. I would definitely recommend her and will 💯 be using her again :)”

“Chelle was an absolute dream to have as a dog sitter - we got to do a virtual meet beforehand of the humans and dogs, I got updates, photos and videos throughout the day which was so reassuring and I came back to a very hapoy dog. Very clear that Chelle knows what she is doing and cares about the pups. Will definitely be looking to book in again when I'm down :D”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences – Bodmin
Megan and her parents took care of our family dog for a afternoon while we visited the Eden Project. They are lovely people who made us feel very welcome at their home. Jasper had the run of their downstairs area and garden. They provided updates throughout the day, including pictures of Jasper snuggling with them on the sofa watching rugby. On our return Jasper seemed really calm and happy. I highly recommend them for doggy daycare!
