“Wallace spent the day with Ashley and Walter as a trial before a 3 night sleepover. Ashley was absolutely fantastic with Wallace. She was completely unfazed by Wallace’s lively personality: she is calm and obviously knows what she is doing. She sent regular updates on how Wallace was settling and we will have no hesitation leaving Wallace in the safe hands of Ashley and Walter in the future. It is a true home from home experience.”

“Katie was amazing with Milly! I forgot to arrange dog care and Katie took Milly at such short notice, meaning she had company all day whilst I was out, was lovely to go out knowing I didn’t need to worry as she was surrounded with plenty of fuss. Thankyou so much!”

“Tammy was great with Murphy, especially since Murphy can't be left alone, she was really understanding of this. Murphy loved his days with Tammy and I loved getting photo updates throughout the day! Would definitely use Tammy again”

About: I have had animals my whole life including dogs, cats, chickens, a pony and a pig! I currently work five days a week however this is term time only. During school term time I can do drop ins or walks after work (I finish at either 4pm or 5pm in Truro) around the Truro and St Austell area and I can do walks, pop ins and dog sitting at weekends and during school holidays. I am located around the Sticker area near St Austell. I will thoroughly enjoy looking after and walking your pets, I am very good with most breeds and I would treat your dogs/cats/all pets(!) as my own when I am with them. My dogs at home have always been schnauzers, Jack Russell's and labradors so I am especially good with these breeds, and I have also had a tuxedo cat previously who was an ex stray. I'm currently working in a school so I'm available late afternoons and evenings after work, as well as weekends and school holidays depending on availability and your location. I have a dog guard in my car so if I needed to take your dogs out I could do easily. I also have business insurance on my car. I'm very attentive and can follow any house rules you have regarding your pets or do any preferred walks if required

About: I am a massive animal lover, and particularly love dogs and cats! I grew up with them, have looked after them for family members and have volunteered with them over the years. This volunteer work includes being a member of trusted housesitters, where I'd stay at people's homes and look after their pets in return for free accommodation. I was also a member of Borrow My Doggy, where I'd look after people's dogs in my home, their home and walk them. In addition, I was a dog walker for the RSPCA, and volunteered as a clinic assistant at a medical clinic for stray cats and dogs in Thailand. I now have my own little dog, who i’ve had for 2 and a half years. I will be at home studying or chilling when looking after your pet(s). I have a little dog, and we would all be in the same room together for the day. I also like to spend time outdoors for example, on the beach, but I am happy to do what suits the needs of your pet. I would be taking my dog for a walk at some point in the day, which could be before your pet/s have arrived or after they have left if required. I can also walk yours if that's what you wanted, with my dog or on their own. I have a fenced garden where your dog is allowed and can also use as a toilet. I also have a little pet dog who would be with me, she gets along with all other dogs and cats.
About: Hi! I'm Rhianna and I love animals. I have just moved back to Falmouth, and will be working from home full time. I had to move to Oxford for two years for work and, now I’m back looking for new clients. Regular or casual! Though regular is preferred if you are looking for someone to frequently walk / sit your pet friends. A little about me: I grew up on my family's very rural, solar-powered, Welsh mountain farm, where we have Welsh sheep, Highland cows, horses, ducks, doves, geese, chickens, Guinea fowl, a cat, oh... and nine working collie dogs, and two silly Scottish terriers. I've spent my entire life around animals, and feel like I am fully versed in knowing what they need. Family friends have said that I was, “raised by the dogs,” as my family were always busy working the farm, and the dogs were my mentors and play mates. I’ve been around dogs all of my life, and I had my first own dog, Floss, at four years old. She was a lassie collie x border collie and she was my best friend. I then had her son, Oslo, who grew up with me, lived with me during university, and also after when I moved onto a sailing boat. He was (I know we all think this!), without doubt, the best dog a girl could’ve wished for, and it broke my entire heart when I lost him to lymphoma in the summer of 2021. I miss his fluffy presence terribly, and as a way to fill the void I thought I’d put myself on Rover to see if anyone wants a trusted and fun dog walker. It turns out that they do and since I’ve started I have walked many many wonderful pups (of all breeds!), sat many lovely cats, met many kind owners, and have had a lot of fun. I go for lovely long walks, love and understand dogs, and am offering my services as a house sitter, and dog walker. Please read my ‘testimonials’ to have a glance at what other owners think of my services. Most of my clients come from word of mouth, and so by no means all the clients I’ve worked with have left reviews. At this point I’ve worked with over 50 pet owners, with all types of pets: dogs of all sizes, chickens, ducks, cats of all temperaments, fish, horses, and even a snake! Over the past 15 years or so, I have gained experience dog walking for a boarding kennels in Wales, training dogs (both on the farm for working, and for agility too), various house sitting experiences, at a riding stables in the Welsh mountains, an estancia in Patagonia de Chile, and a Polo ranch in Argentina! A couple of extras: Please state if your dog cannot go off the lead when booking. This isn’t a problem, but will help me to plan our day better. I'm tidy, prompt, trustworthy, and reliable. I will leave your house exactly as I found it, if not a little tidier. Your dogs will be taken for regular toilet breaks, on lovely walks to suit their fitness and age - and will be treated as if they are my own. I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I’m active and enjoy most water based sports, horse riding, and am happiest out and about with a lead, paddle, or reins in hand. I am also comfortable administering medication to your pets, both oral, eye drops, and if needed jabs. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me! I can tailor your dog’s walk to fit in with my day, and to maximise the activities I can do with your pet - just let me know a day or so advance so I can organise myself! Your animals will live by the same rules that you set for them in your home so that it is consistent. I don’t offer boarding (unless we get to know each other very well, and your dog is relatively small!).
About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, horses and lots of other animals all my life. I’ve often walked and cared for dogs for friends and neighbours. I love all animals and would love to welcome yours into my home! I’m Also planning on doing a dog first aid and CPR course once I get approved on Rover. Im very lucky to have time on my hands, as I am self employed. And can be at home with your pet all day. I love going on dog walks in my surrounding countryside and on the beaches. I have a large private garden with only a cat for company. I live in a very secluded, peaceful rural area. My house is dog friendly, I am not house proud and I will welcome your dog into all parts of our home.
“Shaun and his family were so welcoming and looked after Melvin for the day whilst we were on holiday. Shaun was really informative and also asked us lots of questions before the day making sure Melvin was going to be well looked after. During the stay we had regular updates and photos. Melvin was very relaxed and happy at pick up and we were delighted with Shaun’s care! We would HIGHLY recommend and will certainly be booking Melvin in again when we are next back. Huge thanks!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’d walk neighbours dogs growing up which gave me a strong understanding of their different personalities, needs and behaviours from an early age. In addition I’ve spend 5 years caring for exotic animals which has taught me patience, attention to detail and confidence handling a variety of temperaments. I am a proud Cavapoo owner which has deepened my understanding of daily routines, training consistency, exercise needs and the importance of trust and companionship. As a dog walker, I bring reliability, compassion and genuine enthusiasm to every walk. Whether your pup loves energetic adventures or prefers a steady, relaxed stroll, I tailor each walk to suit their individual needs. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing are always my top priority, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I work full time, but I make dog care a priority in my daily routine. I’m available mornings and evenings during the week for walks, feeding, playtime and lots of love and attention. I also have the flexibility to WFH throughout the week when needed, which can absolutely be discussed prior to booking. On weekends I’m fully flexible and happy to dedicate extra time for longer walks, outings, cuddles or special care routines. Your dog’s comfort, happiness and consistency are always my top priority and I’m committed to providing a safe loving environment. I’m lucky to have a good sized garden that is fully gated and securely fenced, providing a safe space for dog’s to enjoy fresh air and outdoor time. It’s perfect for supervised play, short exercise sessions, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. Safety is always my priority so dogs are never left unattended outside and I make sure the space stays clean and secure at all times.
About: Worked with dogs in the Singapore zoo, with an adoption programme with local SPCA to help rescues to get adopted and running an educational talks about adopting pets instead of buying them. Have experience in training dogs for obedience, but also fun tricks and sniffing out pythons the zoo as it’s located in a forest. Very good with senior dogs, have also worked in various shelters. I have also administered injection and oral medication for both cats and dogs. I’m currently working part-time 3 days a week, so am perfect for dog walking services or happy to take care of pets or do boarding! I love the outdoors and happy to go on adventure walks with dogs and offer lots of TLC! This can be happily adjusted for special needs or senior dogs too :) Able to give services to shower dogs and grooming if the dog will be alright with other people other than its owner doing so. Will be attentive, feeding schedule, walking schedule and also offer enrichment using treats to offer good stimulation so dogs will not be bored, and also plenty of rest as per each dog’s requirement
About: I’ve been talking care of pets for about 5 years. My parents have 2 German pointers and a boarder terroir at home so I’m use to walking all sizes/ kinds of dogs!! I have trained puppies before and absolutely love snuggling up on the sofa with a fury friend! I’m currently a student at the university of Falmouth, but lucky have very few contact hours which means I’ll be able to spend plenty of time with your pups! I’m free most of the week especially Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, but I play hockey on Wednesdays and Saturdays so won’t be around! on my free days I love going for longer walks along the coast or visiting new beaches (I have my car, which is safe for dogs to travel in) I live in a house with a medium sized garden which is fenced in so your doggo can have easy access to a garden to play in. I don't have a crate in the house so if your dog needs one then it would have to be provided.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life. I have independently cared for my family dogs and find great joy in walking and having cuddles! As I live without pets now, I’d love some animal presence back in my life :) I am currently working from home and would love some company! I am available all week and weekend for animals. Also happy for sleepovers over the weekend. Gentle and warm approach. Happy for animals to sleep in the bedroom and go on the sofa. I love long walks and have a car to go on adventures! Lots of cuddles and playtime if the pet likes that!
About: I have always loved being around animals. From growing up with pets, to helping foster dogs and eventually adopting. I believe dogs need a balanced lifestyle to flourish. Therefore dogs in my care receive plenty of exercise and stimulation, as well as lots of cuddle time and affection. The majority of my time is available to pet care. I have a very flexible schedule and therefore can adjust other work engagements to fit around caring for pets. I have a fenced in garden with grass and some border plants and bushes. It’s not the biggest garden, but I’m more than happy to take high energy dogs on nice long walks. We often have Rollie the 5 year old Labrador retriever cross who would love to keep your four legged friend company! We are within walking distance to 9 beaches and lots of green spaces.
About: Hullo! Sophie here, I'm 44 and currently based in Trewoon, near St Austell. While I am relatively new to Rover and THS sites, my prior experience is: - THS pet- and house-sitter, 2025 - to date - I am building up my experience here, looking after dogs, cats and fish so far. In terms of special needs/breed considerations I have cared for senile cats, a large rescue dog reactive to fireworks, a retired racing greyhound, a miniature Dachshund, a large Lab/Staffie mix and a large German Shepherd (35kg). These are just the most recent dogs I have cared for. - Volunteer at Animal Army, Thailand, 2024 (approx. 40 dogs) - administered oral and topical medications to injured and sometimes traumatised dogs, administered ear powders, washed dogs, cared for elderly dogs, blind dogs and physically disabled dogs/amputees including putting dogs into 'wheelchairs' and walking locally. I would also clean kennels, wash and disinfect bowls and play with boisterous puppies. There were also four cats who I played with; - Dog-boarder and walker for Romanian rescue mixed breed ~2019; she suffered from motion sickness; - Dog-walker for the Cinnamon Trust ~ 2019; walked dogs for the homebound; - Dog-walker for 'doggy day care' in London ~2011-2012; walked dogs in Hyde Park on my lunchbreak. One terrier was muzzled due to aggressive tendencies towards other dogs but luckily I never had any issues with him, other than he could never decide where to do his pees n poos!; - Dog boarder for terrier and mixed breed medium size ~2011-2012; occasional/for friends; - Growing up; horse-grooming/mucking out at local stable, we kept a dozen hens in the 80s, family Labradors, cats, one hamster.....! - Informal; occasional house-sitting only (ie, for friends with no pets). I have recently been DBS-checked (can provide my DBS certificate upon request) and have full driver's licence although I am currently without wheels. Looking for wheels though! Pet care will obviously consist of walks, plays, cuddles or just quiet time if your pet prefers. I'm sure you'll tell me any special requirements so that our sit-time is well-spent and your pets are kept happy. I attend my office in Truro from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive. I normally live in Trewoon. My availability varies depending on the day of the week and the service you require so do please check which services i offer. On Mondays and Fridays I work remotely and will require the use of WiFi at your property. Weekends are obviously freer. After April 2026, I aim to have a car and a smoke-free, child-free, detached cottage with six-foot fenced rear garden. This means I should then be able to offer dog-walking and pet-boarding services in addition to pet-sitting. Hooray! Feel free to direct me to your pet's favourite toys or an old shirt of yours or similar in case they find it comforting in your absence. I will assume an 'on leash' policy unless you specify otherwise. Will remove any choking hazards or non-edibles. I try to tread lightly during pet sits, behave with humility and respect, continue my learning journey, and disrupt any routine as little as possible. A video call or free meet and greet is preferred. Please also ensure any leads or harnesses are fit for purpose.

“We booked Olivia while we were on holiday to take Max out for a few hours and she was perfect. She clearly cared for Max and he came back a happy, tired out pup, just what we needed”

About: I moved to Cornwall for university and soon found the passion for surfing. I now live in Cornwall and have been looking after dogs for several years now. Moving to Cornwall on my own has made me very independent, but also very flexible. Which means pet care fits easily into my day to day routine. I have a few small jobs that I can schedule around the dog sitting, so I'm able to give pets plenty of time and attention. I thrive on having a routine and living an active, healthy lifestyle. When looking after pets. I understand how important routine is, including regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, especially as different breeds have different needs. With my active lifestyle, i genuinely enjoy walks, runs, and spending time outdoors, so keeping dogs happy and exercised comes naturally to me. When I'm caring for pets in their own home, I'm always respectful, tidy and minimal, making sure everything is kept just as the owners expect.

It was so reassuring knowing Digby was in safe hands. Eliza is lovely and a great communicator, both before and during Digby’s daycare. She offered to meet in the nearby park just to make sure Digby was super comfortable. As for Sammy the dog, he’s a gentle soul who was very affectionate with Digby. All in all, the highest of ratings for dog-sitting. 🐾 🐾

Jack and Eliza were absolutely wonderful with Nikko — I couldn’t have asked for better sitters. They took such great care of him, gave him plenty of long walks, and kept him happy throughout his stay. He was relaxed and content when I picked him up, which says it all. What meant the most was how excited he was to go back the next day — he’s completely obsessed with Eliza and barely wanted to come home! Sammy is the best boy 🐾 Such a sweet, good-natured dog and great company for Nikko. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend them.
