About: Born into a veterinary household, I grew up caring for every type of animal — from hamsters and tortoises to lambs, cats and dogs. As an adult, I’ve always shared my home with dogs, from tiny Shih Tzu puppies to giant Newfoundlands. This lifelong experience has given me a natural instinct for understanding what every dog needs to feel safe and loved. At the points of life where Iv been able to live with animals such a university or housing restrictions I have volunteered at either a dog walking charity or a small grooming business. Currently taking a break from cardiac Nursing, as youngest child is in their first year of school. Once school run is done we will either head to Trevaunance Cove, Portreath beach, Idless woods. Whichever you your pup would prefer. Then home for a snack & snooze, while I complete chores Then again after school pick up have a fun run down Coosebean woods/ cycle track just at the back of my home. I have a large garden that has some holes in the hedge-line, however your dog will be supervised while outside. No toxic plants. Always have access to fresh water, inside and outside
About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for animals. Alongside owning dogs myself, I've volunteered with animal shelters both in the UK and abroad, caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, backgrounds and needs. I've also spent time volunteering with wildlife conservation projects, giving me experience working with animals of all kinds. I work from home full time, so your dog will have plenty of company, supervision and attention throughout the day. My home is spacious and can be separated into different areas if dogs need their own space, and I also have a large garden for playtime, sniffing adventures and relaxing in the sunshine. I share my home with my two rescue dogs, Zuri and Amara, who are both friendly, well-socialised and comfortable around dogs of all sizes. Their story is a special one. I first met them while volunteering at an animal shelter in Morocco. Zuri arrived at the shelter after being hit by a car and sadly lost one of his front legs as a result. My family helped cover his veterinary treatment while the shelter cared for him during his recovery. I later returned to Morocco to volunteer at the shelter for a month and completely fell in love with him, so I arranged for him to come home with me to the UK. While volunteering, I also met Amara. She quickly stole my heart too, but at the time I wasn't able to adopt her. A year and a half later, after moving into my home in Cornwall and knowing she was still waiting for her forever family, I travelled back to Morocco and brought her home as well. Both dogs have settled beautifully into life in Cornwall and love having canine visitors. Their rescue journeys have taught me so much about dog behaviour, patience, confidence building and making every dog feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your dog, and I treat every dog in my care as if they were one of my own. I'm always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone is a good match, and I look forward to welcoming your dog into our home-from-home environment 🐾❤️ I work remotely most of the time, I'm sometimes needed in the office but this is rare - if this will be the case during a time period of house sitting I will flag this when you make the request! My house: Have a fenced garden and a baby gate between upstairs and downstairs. I feed all my pets separately and I have a crate available of my own.
About: I moved to Cornwall for university and soon found the passion for surfing. I now live in Cornwall and have been looking after dogs for several years now. Moving to Cornwall on my own has made me very independent, but also very flexible. Which means pet care fits easily into my day to day routine. I have a few small jobs that I can schedule around the dog sitting, so I'm able to give pets plenty of time and attention. I thrive on having a routine and living an active, healthy lifestyle. When looking after pets. I understand how important routine is, including regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, especially as different breeds have different needs. With my active lifestyle, i genuinely enjoy walks, runs, and spending time outdoors, so keeping dogs happy and exercised comes naturally to me. When I'm caring for pets in their own home, I'm always respectful, tidy and minimal, making sure everything is kept just as the owners expect.
About: Hi, I'm Bella. I have always loved dogs especially sight hounds and previously owned a whippet called Poppy. I enjoy nothing better than taking a dog for a long walk on the beach or through the woods, seeing them enjoying themselves and being sleepy and relaxed after a good run. I have previously looked after greyhounds, sausage dogs, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, an Irish Wolfhound cross, Frenchie, Labrador Siberian Husky’s, Cockapoos and Cavapoos and understand all dogs and breeds have different needs & requirements to feel happy, safe, secure and loved. I love getting to know their individual personalities and understand that pets are like members of the family and treat them as I would my own dog with love, care and affection when in my care. I am able to keep pets company all day ensuring they get plenty of walks, toilet breaks and are well fed. If dogs are nervous or uncomfortable around other dogs I ensure that they are cared for one individual dog at a time. I ensure dogs are on leads unless I have guidance from their owner that they have good recall and are happy for them to be take off lead only in safe places. I can offer in home care in peoples homes or my own which has a large garden.
“Wallace spent the day with Ashley and Walter as a trial before a 3 night sleepover. Ashley was absolutely fantastic with Wallace. She was completely unfazed by Wallace’s lively personality: she is calm and obviously knows what she is doing. She sent regular updates on how Wallace was settling and we will have no hesitation leaving Wallace in the safe hands of Ashley and Walter in the future. It is a true home from home experience.”

“Jesse immediately took to Kyle and they had a very good day together. Being an older dog she is very set in her ways and Kyle was very sympathetic to her needs and she was very settled when we arrived home. Would definitely use again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, horses and lots of other animals all my life. I’ve often walked and cared for dogs for friends and neighbours. I love all animals and would love to welcome yours into my home! I’m Also planning on doing a dog first aid and CPR course once I get approved on Rover. Im very lucky to have time on my hands, as I am self employed. And can be at home with your pet all day. I love going on dog walks in my surrounding countryside and on the beaches. I have a large private garden with only a cat for company. I live in a very secluded, peaceful rural area. My house is dog friendly, I am not house proud and I will welcome your dog into all parts of our home.
“Tammy was absolutely wonderful! She immediately put us at ease by giving us a tour of her home, and her backyard was perfect for my dog, who loves to sunbathe. She’s a thoughtful and careful caretaker, and I could tell my dog felt comfortable and happy with her. I will absolutely book again :)”

“Katie was so great with both me and Watson! It was my first time booking with Rover and she was really helpful in supporting me to book and with enquiries. Watson is usually a bit anxious with new people and when I leave him, but when I picked him up he was flat out asleep on the sofa with Katie's housemates and seemed completely comfortable. I am delighted and would definitely ask Katie to watch Watson again in future.”

“Awesome, .. Shaun and Meg were great with Daisy 🐕. ...thank you very much.... Would highly recommend anyone looking for pet care in the area... Booked again already..”

“Gus has had a wonderful time with Louise and her partner we can't thank her enough! When we collected Gus he seemed really calm and responsive like he's been on his own little retreat from his family. Louise communicated really well and let me no everything that Gus was getting up to including finding out about Gus's needs.”

“Poppy is SO lovely & friendly and took amazing care of Ralph! He looked very happy and comfortable in her company and I was so at ease knowing he was in safe hands. I'd 100% recommend Poppy to anyone looking for support with dog daycare!”

“Chelle was an absolute dream to have as a dog sitter - we got to do a virtual meet beforehand of the humans and dogs, I got updates, photos and videos throughout the day which was so reassuring and I came back to a very hapoy dog. Very clear that Chelle knows what she is doing and cares about the pups. Will definitely be looking to book in again when I'm down :D”

“Elisha was fabulous with Scooter and we could see he was instantly comfortable with her. She took him on a nice walk and sent lots of photos. She even cleaned up his muddy paws and gave him back to us good as new! 5 stars and top recommendation! Thanks so much.”
About: Hi! I'm Rhianna and I love animals. I have just moved back to Falmouth, and will be working from home full time. I had to move to Oxford for two years for work and, now I’m back looking for new clients. Regular or casual! Though regular is preferred if you are looking for someone to frequently walk / sit your pet friends. A little about me: I grew up on my family's very rural, solar-powered, Welsh mountain farm, where we have Welsh sheep, Highland cows, horses, ducks, doves, geese, chickens, Guinea fowl, a cat, oh... and nine working collie dogs, and two silly Scottish terriers. I've spent my entire life around animals, and feel like I am fully versed in knowing what they need. Family friends have said that I was, “raised by the dogs,” as my family were always busy working the farm, and the dogs were my mentors and play mates. I’ve been around dogs all of my life, and I had my first own dog, Floss, at four years old. She was a lassie collie x border collie and she was my best friend. I then had her son, Oslo, who grew up with me, lived with me during university, and also after when I moved onto a sailing boat. He was (I know we all think this!), without doubt, the best dog a girl could’ve wished for, and it broke my entire heart when I lost him to lymphoma in the summer of 2021. I miss his fluffy presence terribly, and as a way to fill the void I thought I’d put myself on Rover to see if anyone wants a trusted and fun dog walker. It turns out that they do and since I’ve started I have walked many many wonderful pups (of all breeds!), sat many lovely cats, met many kind owners, and have had a lot of fun. I go for lovely long walks, love and understand dogs, and am offering my services as a house sitter, and dog walker. Please read my ‘testimonials’ to have a glance at what other owners think of my services. Most of my clients come from word of mouth, and so by no means all the clients I’ve worked with have left reviews. At this point I’ve worked with over 50 pet owners, with all types of pets: dogs of all sizes, chickens, ducks, cats of all temperaments, fish, horses, and even a snake! Over the past 15 years or so, I have gained experience dog walking for a boarding kennels in Wales, training dogs (both on the farm for working, and for agility too), various house sitting experiences, at a riding stables in the Welsh mountains, an estancia in Patagonia de Chile, and a Polo ranch in Argentina! A couple of extras: Please state if your dog cannot go off the lead when booking. This isn’t a problem, but will help me to plan our day better. I'm tidy, prompt, trustworthy, and reliable. I will leave your house exactly as I found it, if not a little tidier. Your dogs will be taken for regular toilet breaks, on lovely walks to suit their fitness and age - and will be treated as if they are my own. I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I’m active and enjoy most water based sports, horse riding, and am happiest out and about with a lead, paddle, or reins in hand. I am also comfortable administering medication to your pets, both oral, eye drops, and if needed jabs. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me! I can tailor your dog’s walk to fit in with my day, and to maximise the activities I can do with your pet - just let me know a day or so advance so I can organise myself! Your animals will live by the same rules that you set for them in your home so that it is consistent. I don’t offer boarding (unless we get to know each other very well, and your dog is relatively small!).

It was so reassuring knowing Digby was in safe hands. Eliza is lovely and a great communicator, both before and during Digby’s daycare. She offered to meet in the nearby park just to make sure Digby was super comfortable. As for Sammy the dog, he’s a gentle soul who was very affectionate with Digby. All in all, the highest of ratings for dog-sitting. 🐾 🐾

Jack and Eliza were absolutely wonderful with Nikko — I couldn’t have asked for better sitters. They took such great care of him, gave him plenty of long walks, and kept him happy throughout his stay. He was relaxed and content when I picked him up, which says it all. What meant the most was how excited he was to go back the next day — he’s completely obsessed with Eliza and barely wanted to come home! Sammy is the best boy 🐾 Such a sweet, good-natured dog and great company for Nikko. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend them.
