About: Born into a veterinary household, I grew up caring for every type of animal — from hamsters and tortoises to lambs, cats and dogs. As an adult, I’ve always shared my home with dogs, from tiny Shih Tzu puppies to giant Newfoundlands. This lifelong experience has given me a natural instinct for understanding what every dog needs to feel safe and loved. At the points of life where Iv been able to live with animals such a university or housing restrictions I have volunteered at either a dog walking charity or a small grooming business. Currently taking a break from cardiac Nursing, as youngest child is in their first year of school. Once school run is done we will either head to Trevaunance Cove, Portreath beach, Idless woods. Whichever you your pup would prefer. Then home for a snack & snooze, while I complete chores Then again after school pick up have a fun run down Coosebean woods/ cycle track just at the back of my home. I have a large garden that has some holes in the hedge-line, however your dog will be supervised while outside. No toxic plants. Always have access to fresh water, inside and outside

“Monika is the first person to ever look after Monty and it was his first time not staying at our house. We were nervous about how he would be but it’s very obvious that he had a fantastic time away! She kept us very informed on how he was doing and I think the chance to spend time with another bigger dog in the house has really improved his behaviour. Super happy with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend Monika to look after your pup!”

“Frankie had a lovely stay with Alex and his dog Lady. Alex made an effort to meet up prior to the stay and when we were away kept us updated with videos and photos of Frankie. Think Frankie is missing Alex and Lady! Thoroughly recommend.”

“Alison and Simon were lovely and caring and clearly understood dogs! I felt like Jack was in very safe hands, he warmed to them immediately and kept in contact..They tired him out for me before I collected with a run around their field and took him out for another walk which I was very grateful for! Thank you so much, Jack had a great stay ❤️”

“Wow I was so impressed with Mads!! From the get go it was clear she was the right person to take care of my baby while I was away!! Lots of pertinent questions when we first met and great communication while I was away! Upon my return it was so clear that lady had the best time staying with her, with lots of walks and having fun on the beach! Mads is so friendly and great, clearly a massive dog lover and if I ever need to head away again she'll be my first choice 100% Thank you again for everything!!”

“Ashley was amazing from start to finish! I have never left my 10 year old Jug before with anyone other than family and Ashley was undoubtedly the best choice. She has a lovely home and was very welcoming, I recieved photos and could see in these photos my Reggie was happy and loved whilst we were away. I would highly recommend Ashley and I will use her again.”

“Brilliant. Evie was so happy with Harriet and her family. This was our first time dropping Evie at a pet sitter and we would definitely recommend Harriet and we will always use her now if we can! She was with Harriet for five days and she was so happy the entire time.”

“Lucky had a brilliant stay with Sascha and her lovely family. He enjoyed long countryside walks, ball games and cuddles. Sascha was fantastic with Lucky, very patient and caring. He had a big smile on his face when we picked him up and keep coming back to her for cuddles 🥰 We will definitely book again!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. And since I have moved out of home, I have missed having them around. I run every day and love the company of a four legged friend while out on an adventure. I work 5 days a week but work from home 1 day a week. Have a small fenced garden. I work 4 days a week over the weekend. My days off Monday-Wednesday are filled with being outdoors, walking, running and swimming. My flat has a garden but I live a 5 minute walk from a dog friendly beach and a 10 minute walk from a dog friendly grass park in Falmouth. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and since moving out of my family home, have missed the presence of those fury four legged pets. I have a little fenced garden round the back of the property that is private. Have space and capacity to have a crate as I know my own dogs love their crate as it’s their little home in a home

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’d walk neighbours dogs growing up which gave me a strong understanding of their different personalities, needs and behaviours from an early age. In addition I’ve spend 5 years caring for exotic animals which has taught me patience, attention to detail and confidence handling a variety of temperaments. I am a proud Cavapoo owner which has deepened my understanding of daily routines, training consistency, exercise needs and the importance of trust and companionship. As a dog walker, I bring reliability, compassion and genuine enthusiasm to every walk. Whether your pup loves energetic adventures or prefers a steady, relaxed stroll, I tailor each walk to suit their individual needs. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing are always my top priority, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I work full time, but I make dog care a priority in my daily routine. I’m available mornings and evenings during the week for walks, feeding, playtime and lots of love and attention. I also have the flexibility to WFH throughout the week when needed, which can absolutely be discussed prior to booking. On weekends I’m fully flexible and happy to dedicate extra time for longer walks, outings, cuddles or special care routines. Your dog’s comfort, happiness and consistency are always my top priority and I’m committed to providing a safe loving environment. I’m lucky to have a good sized garden that is fully gated and securely fenced, providing a safe space for dog’s to enjoy fresh air and outdoor time. It’s perfect for supervised play, short exercise sessions, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. Safety is always my priority so dogs are never left unattended outside and I make sure the space stays clean and secure at all times.
“Very happy with Herbie’s care this evening. Herbie was very nervous when we arrived and I worried that he might not settle but Laura slowly won him around with her kind and gentle approach. When we went to collect him he was clearly happy and relaxed I really appreciated the photos that Laura sent through the evening which put my mind at rest. Thankyou Laura for a positive experience.”

“Our dog had another great stay with Conny this week and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and commitment Conny gave to her during her stay. Lots of lovely photos sent so I could see Fig was very happy to be back with Conny. They seem to adore each other and Conny is perfect. Thoroughly recommended +++”

“I cannot rate Callan highly enough. He asked sensible questions in advance, gave clear information about his set up at home, and when they met he and Dexy seemed to get on like a house on fire. We were able to relax and be dog-free for 24 hours knowing that Dex was in good hands. Thank you so much Callan!”

“Clarrissa was the best dog sitter you could ask for! She made time to meet boe before we went away! She took her on 6km run! And she was amazing with boe’s behaviours, boe can be reactive to other dogs and Clarissa was amazing at adapting to this making sure boe kept safe at all times! She kept us updated all the time through photos and messages! YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER DOG SITTER 1000% WOULD RECOMMEND!!”

“Kelly, our greyhound, had a wonderful time with Jake and his family. Was grateful I placed her with such a lovely family - thank you guys for looking after Kelly so well. Would 100% use Jake again and would highly recommend. They sent me plenty of pics of Kelly’s exploits which meant I could enjoy my holiday without the worry. So much better than leaving her in kennels.”

“Shaun was so patient with Luna. She’s an anxious dog, super attached to her family, so it was a new experience for her. It took her a while to warm up, but she seemed very happy and content once she’d settled in. Shaun was very professional and kept me updated through regular messages and photos. It was good to see her having fun while I was away. Thanks Shaun for taking the time to settle her in and make her feel at home.”

“Indy had a lovely time with Lee, her son, and their little dog Buddy. She was so exhausted she didn't make a peep all the way home. Lee kept us up to date with daily pictures and videos too. Thank you 😊”

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
