Really glad we found Tammy! Lola made herself right at home as soon as we were inside their home, and Tammy and her husband really listened to Lola’s specific requirements, which made us feel at ease. We are so pleased and cannot wait for Lola to stay there again :). Highly recommend!

Conny was wonderful, we have never left Otto with anyone before so we were worried how he would be left and the fact he is only 12 months old and can be a handful. There was no need to worry at all Conny was brilliant with him and gave him 2/3 days full of adventures! He went on loads of lovely walks, on the beach through streams and had a lovely time playing and being totally spoilt! Conny sent so many lovely photos of what Otto was doing to keep our peace of mind, I’m surprise Otto wanted to come home! I absolutely recommend Conny to anyone looking! 🐾🐾

Highly recommend Alison. We left our anxious and reactive collie with her and we collected a very relaxed, smiley happy dog that didn't seem to want to leave! Alison and her partner are wonderfully calm and live in a beautiful quiet home that was the perfect environment for Gwynnie. I would definitely recommend Alison to anybody if you want your dog to have a relaxing, loving and stimulating holiday. Thank you Alison!

Abi is an excellent dog sitter. Both of our dogs adore her! They were so excited when she arrived to look after them for the weekend, it was wonderful to see. I had no concerns leaving them in her care, and revived regular pictures and updates; they had a fabulous time and I'm sure Abi will become a regular in their lives whenever we are away.

Monika is the first person to ever look after Monty and it was his first time not staying at our house. We were nervous about how he would be but it’s very obvious that he had a fantastic time away! She kept us very informed on how he was doing and I think the chance to spend time with another bigger dog in the house has really improved his behaviour. Super happy with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend Monika to look after your pup!

Meisha as a Cockerpoo gets anxious . Today she had an awesome day . Marek sent photos and communicated so well. Shes going to sleep well today after her fun trip to the beach . Thank you again for allowing me to have the day with my daughter and not to worry at all. I would def recommend 🥰

I made a last minute booking with Virginia and we managed to squeeze in a meet-up beforehand. Virginia took very good care of Maggie, taking her for lots of walks and out and about. She came home and slept for a day! Virginia was very responsive and kept me updated with photos throughout Maggie's stay. Would definitely recommend and will be booking with Virginia again!

Tabitha was super sweet and very chilled. We dropped our frenchie, Beanz with her for a couple days whilst we were at a wedding and Beanz seemed to have a great time - she came back exhausted which is always a good sign 😂 thanks so much Tabitha - really appreciated your flexibility and all round relaxed approach made the whole thing very easy.

About: Hi, I'm Leo and I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I like to get out and about so I'm always walking my dog Bruce, he comes with me everywhere I go! I have experience caring for senior pets also and have a qualification in canine first aid. I understand that all dogs are different and need different breed specific stimulation to be happy and healthy and I will always try to weave some training in with all the playtime and walks! I'm currently available full-time with availability Mon-Fri and Saturday if required. I am able to be flexible to suit your requirements and meet the needs of your pet. I live in close proximity to woodland, open fields and enclosed paddocks. I also have access to an unfenced garden in my home. I have a 18 month old Sprocker Spaniel and an elderly cat at home to keep your best friend company.

Wow I was so impressed with Mads!! From the get go it was clear she was the right person to take care of my baby while I was away!! Lots of pertinent questions when we first met and great communication while I was away! Upon my return it was so clear that lady had the best time staying with her, with lots of walks and having fun on the beach! Mads is so friendly and great, clearly a massive dog lover and if I ever need to head away again she'll be my first choice 100% Thank you again for everything!!

FAQs for Boarding - Cornwall

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Cornwall on Rover is £46 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 133 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Cornwall. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
