This is the first time we have had someone else looking after Hazel that isn’t someone we already know and trust, but Tammy put our minds at rest straight away by offering a meet and greet to see if Hazel would feel comfortable in her care - Hazel didn’t have to think twice, and she is a very good judge of character! About: Hi, I'm Leo and I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I like to get out and about so I'm always walking my dog Bruce, he comes with me everywhere I go! I have experience caring for senior pets also and have a qualification in canine first aid. I understand that all dogs are different and need different breed specific stimulation to be happy and healthy and I will always try to weave some training in with all the playtime and walks! I'm currently available full-time with availability Mon-Fri and Saturday if required. I am able to be flexible to suit your requirements and meet the needs of your pet. I live in close proximity to woodland, open fields and enclosed paddocks. I also have access to an unfenced garden in my home. I have a 18 month old Sprocker Spaniel and an elderly cat at home to keep your best friend company.

She kept us very informed on how he was doing and I think the chance to spend time with another bigger dog in the house has really improved his behaviour. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
