About: I moved to Cornwall for university and soon found the passion for surfing. I now live in Cornwall and have been looking after dogs for several years now. Moving to Cornwall on my own has made me very independent, but also very flexible. Which means pet care fits easily into my day to day routine. I have a few small jobs that I can schedule around the dog sitting, so I'm able to give pets plenty of time and attention. I thrive on having a routine and living an active, healthy lifestyle. When looking after pets. I understand how important routine is, including regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, especially as different breeds have different needs. With my active lifestyle, i genuinely enjoy walks, runs, and spending time outdoors, so keeping dogs happy and exercised comes naturally to me. When I'm caring for pets in their own home, I'm always respectful, tidy and minimal, making sure everything is kept just as the owners expect.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with about 3 years of professional dog caring experience and many more years at home. I grew up with dogs and really miss my own since moving, so caring for dogs is a real joy for me. I’m confident with all kinds of dogs, including those who are nervous or shy—I always take a calm, gentle approach and move at their pace. Whether your dog needs a fun, active walk or just some quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. Reliable, friendly, and fully focused on your dog’s needs. My schedule is very flexible and I’m happy to accommodate most times! I’m available on weekdays and weekends, and I’ll do my best to keep my calendar updated regularly. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. While I’m unable to host dogs in my own home, I’m more than happy to walk or care for them at your home. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust, especially with anxious or sensitive dogs, so I always take a calm, patient approach and follow any specific routines or instructions you provide. I’ll make sure your dog feels secure in their own familiar environment, and I’m always happy to send updates, photos, or messages during visits or walks. You can count on me to be reliable, respectful of your space, and completely focused on your dog’s wellbeing.
“Danielle did a brilliant job taking care of our young cats. She went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and it was great for us to receive regular updates and photos so we knew they were safe and well.”

About: Born into a veterinary household, I grew up caring for every type of animal — from hamsters and tortoises to lambs, cats and dogs. As an adult, I’ve always shared my home with dogs, from tiny Shih Tzu puppies to giant Newfoundlands. This lifelong experience has given me a natural instinct for understanding what every dog needs to feel safe and loved. At the points of life where Iv been able to live with animals such a university or housing restrictions I have volunteered at either a dog walking charity or a small grooming business. Currently taking a break from cardiac Nursing, as youngest child is in their first year of school. Once school run is done we will either head to Trevaunance Cove, Portreath beach, Idless woods. Whichever you your pup would prefer. Then home for a snack & snooze, while I complete chores Then again after school pick up have a fun run down Coosebean woods/ cycle track just at the back of my home. I have a large garden that has some holes in the hedge-line, however your dog will be supervised while outside. No toxic plants. Always have access to fresh water, inside and outside
“Wow. These sitters were EXACTLY what Fearn needed. They were so attentive with her that when she realised it was me that was back home and not another visit with Callum & Jazz, I could sense the disappointment that it wasn’t them! They bought additional treats, they bought poo bags when I had ran out. They even did a little TLC on my home when fearn had an unfortunate accident. I honestly cannot fault these lovely people and hope that they’ll look after fearn again. Total peace of mind, and lots and lots of love + updates on fearn. 6* should be an option.”

About: I'm very passionate in helping families with busy schedules and providing care to animals as well as helping to clean, cook and walking of dogs. I've had pets my whole life and currently have 2 cats and a dog. Working part time to help families with their pets, very flexible with hours and can travel all over Cornwall, also happy to negotiate wages and costs. About: I have always loved animals and feel calm and comfortable around both dogs and cats. I grew up around dogs, as my grandparents had a German Shepherd, so I understand how loyal, sensitive and individual they can be. Most of my personal experience is with cats, and I really enjoy caring for them, understanding their personalities and giving them space, patience and attention when they need it. I also worked with cows and calves for almost two years, which taught me a lot about patience, routine, animal behaviour and staying calm around animals of different sizes and temperaments. My partner also has many years of experience with dogs, including caring for a Jack Russell and a Beagle for around 14 years, so dogs are very welcome in our home too. I am self-employed and work flexibly, which means I can give pets plenty of attention, comfort and care during their stay. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, rest, basic cleaning and photo updates. I am self-employed and have a flexible schedule, so pet care can fit well into my daily routine. I’m usually available for boarding and day care on selected days, and I can give pets regular attention, toilet breaks, walks, feeding and quiet rest time throughout the day. I provide a calm, safe and homely environment in a quiet countryside area. We have a semi-enclosed outdoor space and are surrounded by fields, including a beautiful daffodil field nearby. The garden is not fully fenced, so pets are always supervised when outside. I take extra care with young dogs, nervous dogs or dogs who may try to escape, and I will always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. We have a cat who spends most of his time outdoors, and I only accept pets that are comfortable or manageable around cats. I always manage space and introductions carefully to keep everyone safe and relaxed.

Madi has been wonderful, taking such great care of our little kitten. She spent lots of time playing and was very flexible in responding to what our cat needed each day. She made sure she was always happy, entertained, well-fed, and cuddled. We were able to fully relax on our holiday knowing our cat was in such good hands.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Cornwall pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cornwall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
