About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets; from cats and dogs to guinea pigs, rats, rabbits and fish. I have personally owned both cats and small furries, so I understand how important it is to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and cared for in their own environment. Although I have never personally owned a dog, I gained a lot of practical experience and knowledge about dogs through my previous role at Pets at Home. During my time there, I gained both theoretical knowledge and practical experience with dogs - from carrying out hundreds of dog harness fittings, providing advice on nutrition and helping the dog grooming team (including distracting and reassuring dogs during grooming and assisting with getting larger dogs safely into the bathing area). This gave me experience handling dogs of different sizes, personalities and temperaments and helped me become confident around dogs, even though I haven't owned one myself. During my time with Pets at Home I also gained experience with feeding fish and caring for a variety of small furries, including rabbits, in the adoption centre. Due to the store being adoption only, some of the animals had complicated histories so needed extra gentleness and care. In regard to the more unusual animals, I have some experienced working with and handling wild hedgehogs, snakes, lizards and bats due to previous conservation and rehabilitation work. I have also had pet rats and have looked after giant snails. Therefore, unusual pets are exciting rather than daunting to me and I would love to look after your unusual animals. Outside of work, I have looked after people’s guinea pigs, rats, dogs and cats for friends, family, neighbours and other pet owners. This has included house stays, feeding and check-in visits, and dog walks, so I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and care requirements. When looking after your pet, I believe it’s important that they get more than just their food and basic care. I always make time to spend quality time with them and give them the attention they want, whether that means cuddles, playtime, a walk, or simply sitting nearby and keeping them company. Every animal has their own personality, so I’m happy to follow their lead and give them space when they need it too. My priority is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away, while keeping their usual routines as consistent as possible. 🐾❤️ I am a full-time teacher so am available for morning drop ins on my way to work (6.30-7.30) and evening visits/dog walks (after 5pm). I am also available at weekends. I provide drop-in visits and dog walks, so pets will be cared for in their own home and local surroundings rather than staying at mine. I follow each pet owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets are safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout my visit. For dog walks, I use secure leads and follow the owner’s preferences regarding routes, exercise and interactions with other dogs. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have everything they need, including food, fresh water, medication if required, play and companionship. I treat every home and pet with respect and care, and I make sure doors, gates and any other access points are securely closed when I leave.

About: Having grown up with pets I have had experience with all sorts - from pups to seniors, gentle souls to fuzzballs that crave chaos. I’ve helped my friend raise a staffie puppy when they had to work, and house sat for a family’s golden retriever. I have loved every minute and would be delighted to do the same for more wonderful families. I’m currently undergoing a masters degree at the Penryn campus so can be quite flexible with times during the week, and I’m happy to spend my weekends with pets that need some enrichment! I’m available to look after pets in their homes, or take them out for walks throughout the day, whatever is required for each individual.

About: I have a senior dog back in my home town who I miss walking and playing with, I used to do so every day when I was at home with him. I have some experience walking dogs unofficially over the years for friends and family. I attend the university and so my schedule is not always the same every week but I have most early mornings/afternoons to walk and take care of pets. My weekends are also free. I live in a student house and therefore I can't offer boarding but I am always up for house sitting, walking and checking in on pups during the day/night.

About: I’ve had my own dog for the past 7 years and have experience in all areas of caring for her from walking and training to just chilling on the sofa! If you need any help, from walks to just company for you pup, I believe I can give you the help you’re looking for. My availability is flexible, and adjusts weekly, so if you know you’ll need my services, make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment! I can adapt to any friendly home environment and am happy to provide cuddles and company for your pup as long as you provide poo bags an lead and treats if needed! Am happy working with any size dog - however for walking I am used to small/ medium sized dogs.

About: My family has always owned dogs so I have a lifetime of personal experience. I volunteered and multiple animal sanctuaries and zoos growing up and I worked for pets at home for more than three years where i specialized in dog care. I am available most days and weekends for any bookings and will normally be happy to take bookings on short notice. The safety of the pets come first and for that reason I would make sure to supervise them and if in the garden make sure its enclosed and has no open gates. I work part time and have a very flexible daily schedule. The best thing to do is contact me with the dates and times you require and I will do my best to accommodate. The safety of your pets is my top priority, on our walks I like to keep them on the lead untill in certain they will listen to commands from me.

One of our cats isn’t very well at the moment, and we were due to be away for six days, so we were really worried about leaving him. Matt was wonderful from start to finish. He came over before we left to meet both the boys and us, talked through everything he’d need to do, and then visited twice a day while we were away. He followed our instructions to the letter, made sure medications were given correctly, and sent regular photos and updates so we knew the cats were happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of cuddles. Everything was perfect when we got back, and it was such a relief knowing they had been so well looked after. We’ll absolutely be asking Matt to look after them again in the future. About: Im a student missing my dog at home and looking to help with walks or drop ins as available! I have volunteered since i was 14 in canine fields, up until recently where i helped out with cleaning, training and walking dogs of all varieties and temperaments. Im currently in my final year as a Zoology student so any break to work with your pets will be taken! I have very high availability but if you have any specific days in mind, do drop me a message and we can figure something out🐾 Can be easily adaptable with the space provided in your home and take your pets out at a rate thats suitable or accustomed to them!

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! Growing up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, tortoises and more has shaped me and I love to nurture and hang out with pets. As well as for my own family, I have dog sat for family friends and have always prided myself on being responsible, respectful, and loving to all furry friends no matter what! I am studying at Falmouth University but am time am so open to many dates including weekdays and weekends! Afternoons are always best but I am also up for a full day or multiple days where my schedule allows it! I am extremely reliable and organised and am happy to negotiate for times that suit you! About: Hi! I'm Rhianna and I love animals. I have just moved back to Falmouth, and will be working from home full time. I had to move to Oxford for two years for work and, now I’m back looking for new clients. Regular or casual! Though regular is preferred if you are looking for someone to frequently walk / sit your pet friends. A little about me: I grew up on my family's very rural, solar-powered, Welsh mountain farm, where we have Welsh sheep, Highland cows, horses, ducks, doves, geese, chickens, Guinea fowl, a cat, oh... and nine working collie dogs, and two silly Scottish terriers. I've spent my entire life around animals, and feel like I am fully versed in knowing what they need. Family friends have said that I was, “raised by the dogs,” as my family were always busy working the farm, and the dogs were my mentors and play mates. I’ve been around dogs all of my life, and I had my first own dog, Floss, at four years old. She was a lassie collie x border collie and she was my best friend. I then had her son, Oslo, who grew up with me, lived with me during university, and also after when I moved onto a sailing boat. He was (I know we all think this!), without doubt, the best dog a girl could’ve wished for, and it broke my entire heart when I lost him to lymphoma in the summer of 2021. I miss his fluffy presence terribly, and as a way to fill the void I thought I’d put myself on Rover to see if anyone wants a trusted and fun dog walker. It turns out that they do and since I’ve started I have walked many many wonderful pups (of all breeds!), sat many lovely cats, met many kind owners, and have had a lot of fun. I go for lovely long walks, love and understand dogs, and am offering my services as a house sitter, and dog walker. Please read my ‘testimonials’ to have a glance at what other owners think of my services. Most of my clients come from word of mouth, and so by no means all the clients I’ve worked with have left reviews. At this point I’ve worked with over 50 pet owners, with all types of pets: dogs of all sizes, chickens, ducks, cats of all temperaments, fish, horses, and even a snake! Over the past 15 years or so, I have gained experience dog walking for a boarding kennels in Wales, training dogs (both on the farm for working, and for agility too), various house sitting experiences, at a riding stables in the Welsh mountains, an estancia in Patagonia de Chile, and a Polo ranch in Argentina! A couple of extras: Please state if your dog cannot go off the lead when booking. This isn’t a problem, but will help me to plan our day better. I'm tidy, prompt, trustworthy, and reliable. I will leave your house exactly as I found it, if not a little tidier. Your dogs will be taken for regular toilet breaks, on lovely walks to suit their fitness and age - and will be treated as if they are my own. I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I’m active and enjoy most water based sports, horse riding, and am happiest out and about with a lead, paddle, or reins in hand. I am also comfortable administering medication to your pets, both oral, eye drops, and if needed jabs. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me! I can tailor your dog’s walk to fit in with my day, and to maximise the activities I can do with your pet - just let me know a day or so advance so I can organise myself! Your animals will live by the same rules that you set for them in your home so that it is consistent. I don’t offer boarding (unless we get to know each other very well, and your dog is relatively small!).

About: Alongside owning my own dog and raising her from a puppy I have also looked after friends and families pups ranging in size and exercise requirements I’m a university student so have a flexible schedule and love any excuse to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Falmouth area. I have plenty of free time to give you pup some love and attention I live close to the beach and the coastal path is a short walk from my house which provides fantastic areas for walking. I operate on a leave no trace basis both outside and when I am in someone else’s space

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 14. I’ve dog sitted, walked neighbours dogs, and owned dogs myself. I have a great passion for the care of animals having previously worked on a farm for 3 years. I also love the outdoors and love to explore with dogs! I’m currently working full time in Falmouth and Penryn so my availability varies. But worth popping a message to check if I’m free! With dogs I think it’s key to spend time to get to know them and learn how my care can meet there needs most. I find this builds a better relationship between myself and the dog and creates a more enjoyable experience for both. I will do a meet and greet with owners before caring for your pet so that I can gain trust and see how to best look after your dog!

About: Experienced and considerate of dogs with all sorts of needs, nuances and routines. Understanding of behavioural challenges/high-energy/anxious dogs. Dogs that need lots of exercise, old dogs, or dogs that need to stay on lead/ just have a short companionable sniff about the place. I also have a diploma in animal management and currently work in conservation I am a PhD researcher and so my schedule can be variable but also flexible. I am often available for single days, and full weekends or longer week-long sits I am very understanding of specific needs of individual pets and will always communicate with you on this. I will always respect your wishes on, for example, leashing and how long you leave your pet.
