At home I have three outdoor cats who come and go as they please - due to this they are groomed when appropriate, and frequently checked for fleas and ticks to ensure happy, healthy cats. From working with Cats Protection, I am comfortable and confident upholding their cat care values. From working with cats staying in kennels with various needs I am prepared to alter care depending on the cat.

A typical day
I love playing with cats, using anything from toys to crumpled up pieces of paper - fun is everywhere! Happy to give cats a cuddle or some space if needed, as long as they’re happy.

Cat care experience
I have taken care of multiple cats for many years. I have one year’s experience (ongoing) as a Cat Care Assistant with Cats Protection. This involves cleaning enclosures, feeding, replacing litter trays, grooming and enrichment. This has also provided me the opportunity to work with a plethora of cat breeds, personalities and ages. I’ve also 3 of my own cats at home who I’ve looked after for 7 years. As a Zoology undergraduate student, animal care is very important to me. I also have 3 years experience in cat rehoming, feeding and basic medication administration from working with non-domestic cats in Essaouira, Morocco.

Edith was brilliant when popping in to feed our cats on a weekend away. Our cat Finn is very anxious and hides from anyone new, but actually came out to see Edith which was such a good sign. She was also so good at finding Finn in his hiding place to take a photo for his slightly anxious parents 😅. Thanks so much Edith!
Edie is a lovely and friendly girl, who has a lot of passion for animals and caring for pets. Through many years of experience with different animal types such as cats, fish, tortoises and dogs, Edie is very well rounded and capable of providing the best possible care! She is very dependable, organised and trustworthy and would do an amazing job of looking after your beloved pets. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
