About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life. I have independently cared for my family dogs and find great joy in walking and having cuddles! As I live without pets now, I’d love some animal presence back in my life :) I am currently working from home and would love some company! I am available all week and weekend for animals. Also happy for sleepovers over the weekend. Gentle and warm approach. Happy for animals to sleep in the bedroom and go on the sofa. I love long walks and have a car to go on adventures! Lots of cuddles and playtime if the pet likes that!

About: I am a designer who works from home, after always having dogs I miss their company a lot. Instead of getting a dog I decided to host dogs in my house. I live in a cottage in St Austell, tucked away in a quiet part of this seaside town. I have a lovely big garden with sunshine and shade where they can play or potter about. The cottage is cool and quiet and has everything a doggy would need. Your dog will never be left alone as I work here too. I only take one dog at a time or dogs from the same household so they will have a really personal experience that will be tailored to them and their needs. There is a wealth of glorious beaches and river trails only minutes away for playtime, walks and relaxing. I try and make every day like a doggy holiday even if they are only staying a short time. I have owned dogs myself as well as having grown up with one always in the household. I had my last dog from a puppy and fully trained him, we did agility classes together too. I have also owned a rescue dog in the past who I worked closely with a trainer for to understand his body language and his needs so I do have experience with dog behaviour. I work from home during the week so your dog will have lots of 1:1 attention as I need to take regular breaks away from the screen. I always walk in the morning, lunchtime and the end of the day as a way to get outdoors and it’s such a treat to do that alongside a doggy friend. I can offer a pet free, smoke free house with a fenced in garden. Please do bring anything your dog likes along to make them comfortable, maybe a bed and some favourite toys for playtime

At home we have a 10‑year‑old who we’ve raised from a puppy, as well as a rescue dog who joined our family later on, so I’m used to supporting both confident, settled dogs and those who need a gentler, more patient approach. Dog care is my full‑time focus, and it fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day for walks, visits, playtime and settling dogs in. Our own dogs are part of our everyday rhythm, and welcoming guest dogs into that routine feels completely natural. Whether it’s weekday walks, daytime care or overnight stays, I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention, consistency and company. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. Our home is calm, secure and set up for dogs to relax, with safe enclosed areas and plenty of space to settle in. I supervise dogs closely, follow their usual routines and take time to understand their needs, whether they’re confident, nervous or somewhere in between. With our own well‑mannered dogs and a peaceful rural setting, visiting dogs enjoy a safe, steady environment where they can feel completely at ease.

This was the first time Alfie had been away from us for so long, so we were a bit nervous however everything worked out great and Alfie was very happy. About: I hold a 4* rating with Cornwall Council for home dog boarding. I was brought up on a farm and have been around all sorts of animals all of my life. I have Buddy, a small Italian Greyhounf. I like to specialise in small dogs, and am happy to have dogs on an individual basis. Dogs are treated as I would my own, and have snuggly beds and blankets in all rooms! Plenty of walking and playtime will also be provided. I am currently at home full time so any dogs in my care will have my full attention! I intend to make this my full time job once I get settled in my new home. I will be council registered and will have full insurance. I have an enclosed front garden and an enclosed back garden which is paved. The gate can only be opened with a key code. I have various beds and crates if that is what your dog prefers.

“Laura, her husband and their lovely dog looked after my Cavapoo as if he was part of their own family. From the moment we left him, we felt completely reassured that he was in safe, caring hands. Laura was incredibly attentive throughout the day and kept us updated with lots of lovely photos and videos, which made such a difference. We could see him out enjoying walks, playing happily with their dog, relaxing around the house, and curled up comfortably on the sofa. It was clear he had settled in so well and was having a brilliant time. After his overnight stay, he was completely zonked out in bed, which said it all. He had obviously been well cared for, entertained, and made to feel right at home. We would highly recommend Laura. She made the whole experience feel easy and reassuring, and we were so pleased to see how happy and relaxed he was. Next time we are in that part of the world, we will definitely be saying hello to Laura and her family again.”
