“I couldn't have asked for a better pet-carer when I needed to go away for a few days and leave my old, shy cat at home. Maxine is very caring and gave excellent updates about Namanie while I was gone. Thank you so much, I will definitely ask for you again!”

About: I have taken care dogs since I was 14, training guide dogs, including the family dog and voluntary work which led to paid work at a dog kennel walking dogs and cleaning kennels. I have been dogsitting on and off for 16 years and rescued 3 dogs. I have done more regular sits since a friend from church asked me to dog sit, then I used Trustedhousitters as a sitter for 3 years and have done 12 different successful sits of which a few have been asked back, so I also know how to take care of people’s homes and multiple pets in the home. Your dogs will be happy with me and treated like family, they will have play time and rest time and I always stick to the rules that you have set for them and their meal times including what they eat. I would never feed your dog human food or over treat them or punish them. If I am sitting I would take them out for a walk in the local areas up to 3 times a day but they will have plenty of toilet breaks. If I am only walking your dog, I will keep them on the lead and go for as much time as they need. Your dog will be in safe hands with me. I am an at home full-time student, I start my last year in October and finish in May 2027. I will have time to go for dog walks anytime as I can pick my days and times to study. I cannot bring pets into my home currently as my 2 cats are the proud owners but I can meet you for a pick up or take care of a dog at your home

About: My experience with just dealing with pets is having my own animals from young. I've had fish, hamster, guinea pigs and dogs. My first dog was a rescued Boxer, Ruben. My first proper puppy was a Pug, Dexter, then we rescued Alfie another Pug at the same age as Dexter (around 4yrs.) My house sitting and pet experience was living in an annexe above my landladys garage. She had a working cocker, Zeva. She'd trust me with looking after her house and Zeva while she had to go away for work or on holiday. That was over 2yrs of me living there. I even took Zeva away with my boyfriend and I as we went to Bournemouth for a weekend I was looking after her. We got a pet friendly accomodation and she had the best time on the beach and in the sea playing with her ball. I work 3 days a week, so have plenty of time for sitting and walking pets. I like to walk daily, so dog walking is well suited with my lifestyle. I care for pets in an owners home by communicating with the owners in the first instance to see what responsibilities they expect of their sitter to make sure their animals are in perfect care.

About: Myself and my partner have a lovely home full of warmth and love ready to give to a pet. We also love to regularly get outside and discover beaches, parks and go for scenic walks which I’m sure your pet will love! We have been pet sitting for the last 2 years via MadPaws in Australia & have both owned pets throughout our lives. We have moved back to the UK and have a house and garden ready to pet sit full time! We are currently home full time and can spend pretty much all day with a pet who can join me on walks / runs / adventures or we are more than happy staying home and relaxing if an old boy/girl! We have a fenced back garden and large green public space out the front of the house, surrounded by plymbridge for walks and adventures daily.
“Bryony took very good care of our three cats. She ensured that they were fed and watered and kept us updated on how they were. Bryony is a very friendly and pleasant person to deal with. We would thoroughly recommend her. (And as first time app users we found the system of notifications to be very good).”

About: I am a full-time professional pet service provider with over 10 years of experience running my own pet care business. I hold my own business insurance and pet first aid certificate, and I am trained to administer medication, including injections. I offer a range of services including pet sitting, dog walking, mantrailing sessions, and canine training. Having grown up surrounded by a variety of family pets, I have always had a deep love and understanding of animals. My passion is providing reliable, compassionate, and professional care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I work full time as a pet care business, I offer pet care services 7 days a week. I only look after a limited amount of pets at a time so I can provide the best possible care. When dog sitting I do not take on any other pets sitting bookings. All pet sitting takes place in the pet’s own home, allowing them to remain comfortable and settled in a familiar environment while their owners are away. When offering dog sitting, all dogs must be comfortable being left during the day for around 4 hours at a time.

Your dog gets lots of attention, exercise, and love throughout the day, and I get a happy little shadow to share it with. They will also have a lovely little friend to play with, my spaniel Max. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. They’ll enjoy a large, secure garden for playtime and fresh air, plus the company of my friendly dog for socialising and companionship. I keep their routine consistent—whether it’s feeding, walks, or quiet time—and offer a calm, loving space where they can feel completely at ease. Your pup will get plenty of attention, exercise, and cuddles, and I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you know they’re happy and safe.

I provide professional, compassionate care with a focus on your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness. I also love meeting new pets and their owners to create a custom care plan that fits perfectly with your routine. Let’s chat and see how I can help make your pet’s day a little brighter! Pet care is a core part of my daily and weekly routine — not just a job, but a lifestyle I truly love. Each day is planned around the needs of the pets I care for, whether that’s morning walks along the Cornish coast, midday pop-in visits, or evening cuddles for pets staying with me overnight. I build my schedule with plenty of time and flexibility to give every animal my full attention and care. No two days are the same, which is what I enjoy most. From active dogs needing long countryside walks, to older pets who prefer a slower pace and some quiet companionship, I make sure each pet gets the right level of care, stimulation, and love. Weekly, I also spend time checking in with pet owners, updating care plans, and continuing my learning in animal behaviour and first aid. Being fully committed to this work means pets are never an afterthought — they’re at the heart of how I organise my life. Whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs, safety, comfort, and trust are at the heart of everything I do. In My Home: I create a calm, secure, and loving environment where pets feel like part of the family. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible to reduce stress — from feeding and sleeping schedules to playtime and quiet moments. My home is pet-safe, with secure outdoor space, and I only board a small number of animals at once to ensure individual attention and a peaceful atmosphere. I also carry out careful meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure each pet is a good fit for the home environment. In the Pet Owner’s Home: When visiting or staying in a pet’s own home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. I stick to the owner’s instructions closely, ensuring pets feel safe and relaxed in their familiar surroundings. I always take time to build trust with the animals I care for, using gentle, positive approaches to make each interaction reassuring and enjoyable. In both settings, I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in pet first aid. I keep open communication with pet owners through regular updates, photos, and check-ins — so they feel confident and reassured while they’re away.

About: I have had big responsibility to look after many animals growing up. I am currently living away from home and I miss my animals, my dog (see profile picture) and I’m desperate to start involving myself around animals again. I have also done house sitting, mainly family members growing up, more of a good gesture but now I live away from home I have started to think of different ways to get out of the house. It’s more for me rather than money if I am honest. I find myself very responsible and trust worthy, I respect people and care for animals dearly. I wouldn’t say I have years of paid experience with looking after homes or animals but I have years worth of love for them. If you let me know in advance, I can sort your schedule around you. I am easy to your schedule as my shifts change so I can request different things as I work full time. I will chill with your dog. If you want me to keep them out then they will be out. If you want me to take them out I will. If you want me to crate them, I may do. Your call.

We have two cats, one very outgoing and one very shy and anxious, Shannah was brilliant with both 🥰 she communicated with us letting us know when she had arrived and sent lots of updates on how our girls were doing and was very friendly and professional the whole time!
