About: I’ve always been pet sitting my family members/friends pets since I was little and have always loved it! Now that i’m at university, I don’t see their pets that often anymore and since im far away from home and love animals i decided i’d like to start pet sitting around where I live! Since it’s summer time, I have lots of time to hang out with your pet/check up on them, I’m available anyday after 10am I have no pets at home yet, my house is pet safe, big and comfortable for any type of pet. I’m happy with small and big pets.

About: -Flexible, positive method Dog Trainer -Pick up & Drop offs available on request -Only accepting dog friendly non-reactive Dogs for boarding -Training enquiries welcome I am Amber, a puppy behaviourist and dog trainer working in Plymouth. I am working towards my Level 3 qualification in Assistance Dog Training, and have plenty of time to interact with dogs while I study from home. I have trained and cared for a range of dogs over the past few years, and raised my own Sprollie Scout and Assistance Dog Sparrow. I am also a Musical Director and Project Manager, I work from home most of the time but do often work some evenings. Housesitting: I am delighted to offer my services as a house-sitter at competitive rates, as I work both inside and outside of the house during my week. Please ensure your dog is happy home alone for up to a full working day, and has a flexible schedule, if you’d like me to housesit for you. 24/7 sits available, depending on availability, at £15ph. Light cleaning included (bedsheets changed, surface wiped, vacuum cleaned) Extra cleaning is £30ph. I work from home most of the week, as I work as a Project Manager and Musical Director, so I'm only out for around 10 hours a week! I also work as a musician, but that means I am at home composing most of the time, and of course going on lovely walks with my dog. I have a house with a large front room and a little outside space. Due to the format of the house, I can only take small and medium dogs for the time being. I have plenty of doors in between the main room and the front exit, so dogs are very safe and secure in the house. PLEASE NOTE: I will only accept non-reactive dogs with no vocal issues. I live in a terraced house with 2 resident dogs, so I cannot accept dogs who are reactive/ will reactively bark/ whimper excessively.

As a student saving for future travels, I’m grateful to spend my time doing what I love — caring for dogs! 🐕✨ I’m a uni student in my final year, and my free time mostly consist of reading, studying, or going for walks to take a break from screens — often the perfect time to have a furry friend join me! My schedule is flexible, so I can offer plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, especially on weekends and afternoons. I have a small secure fenced garden and live close to several lovely green spaces in Plymouth, perfect for safe and fun walks. About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for the past 3 years, giving me daily, hands-on experience with feeding routines, structured walks, playtime, basic training, and understanding canine behaviour. Caring for my own dog has taught me responsibility, patience, and how important consistency is for a happy, well-balanced pup. I’m confident handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments and always adapt to each dog’s individual needs. Whether your dog is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a calmer pace and extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m available most weekends, including late Friday afternoons and evenings, making me a great option for weekend trips, evenings out, or last-minute plans. I’m flexible with timing and always do my best to accommodate your schedule where possible. In my home, pets are supervised, kept in a calm environment, and given plenty of attention and care. While I don’t have a garden, I live very close to Central Park, which provides plenty of safe, open space for regular walks, exercise, and enrichment. I make sure all dogs are kept on-lead unless otherwise agreed. I carefully follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide.

About: As a family household we are huge dog lovers and have lots of experience caring for all types and sizes of dogs. Since losing our own beagle, we’ve found ourselves really missing the joy of having a dog around. Whether your dog loves walks, play or just a cosy cuddle, they’ll be treated like part of the family in our house or their own. Pet care fits naturally into our routine. I work part time with someone home from 2:15pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays ( we leave at 8.30am) , and full-day at home availability on other days if needed between myself and my husband Drew. We’re really excited to meet your loved ones and give them lots of attention, company and care. Our two children are around on weekends and evenings. They have grown up around both excited and nervous dogs, so they understand different behaviours and needs. Dogs are never left unattended and are always treated as part of the family. For dog walking or drop in services please check our availability calendar. Our normal availability is Monday 9.30-2.30 Thursday 9.30-2.30 and then 18-21. Saturday and Sunday all day, children will attend on weekends and holidays. Only one dog per walk unless a additional same family dog member is added. We care for pets in a calm, loving home environment and follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. We have a fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time, as well as nearby fields and woodland for walks, and we’re also happy to travel by car for variety if your dog enjoys different walking spots. Dogs are supervised at all times and included in family life, with plenty of play, affection and rest. We’re happy to accommodate crates if required and can follow any specific instructions around feeding, exercise, medication or routines to help your dog feel settled and comfortable during their stay. Before we start walking your dog, we’ll take the time to get to know them properly. We’ll ask about the type of walks your dog enjoys most. We’ll also discuss their routine, recall, behaviour around other dogs and people, any training cues you use, and any health or mobility needs. This helps us tailor each walk to suit your dog’s personality, energy level, and wellbeing, so they feel happy, safe, and confident every time they’re out with us. Our dog walking service is one dog only at a time. Unless it’s an additional same family dog add on.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and had my dachshund for almost 17 years. I love animals and I treat them as a member of the family! 💕 I am always available on weekends, which allows me to dedicate more time to pet care :) During the week I’m available for drop in visits or walks in early morning anytime before 8am or anytime after 17:30 I always ensure that pets are comfortable and have regular opportunities for fresh air and exercise in a safe environment. When caring for cats in their own home, I respect their personal space and adapt to their individual personality - whether they enjoy playtime and cuddles or prefer a quieter, more independent routine.

About: Hi, I’m Karen, the owner of a Plymouth based business. I pride myself on running a trusted and caring pet service dedicated to giving your pets the love, attention, and exercise they deserve. I provide reliable dog walking, pet sitting, adventure days, drop-in visits and puppy/kitten checks tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pets. Franco is at the heart of my business and has helped me socialise other dogs (on request) to facilitate small group walks and adventure days for him and his friends. Of course, I offer 1:1 care and focus on building a calm, friendly, and positive environment for every animal I care for. Whether it’s energetic adventure walks, comforting home visits, or caring for young puppies and kittens, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priority. I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS check, and am qualified in pet first aid. I am experienced with puppies, kittens, medication administration and care for pets with varying health conditions. I pride myself on being dependable, compassionate, and attentive. Every pet deserves plenty of love, stimulation, and personalised care. From regular walks to overnight sitting and check-ins while you’re away, I’m here to help keep your pets happy, healthy and cared for at all times. I am happy to provide photos and updates throughout for your peace of mind. I own a full time pet care business so your fur-babies can fit in to my days nicely! No two days look the same but I aim to accommodate 1-2 solo dog walks daily and 1-2 small group walks per day. In between, I provide drop-in visits as required. If I am providing 24 hour pet sitting, it is important to know that I expect to be able to leave the property for a minimum of 2 x 2 hour periods per day to accommodate the needs of my other furry clients. Photos and updates are provided. If caring for animals in my own home, I have a fully enclosed courtyard and care for your pets as per your preference, whether that is with crating or other routines that help them to feel safe and cared for. For boarding, your dog can expect 2 walks per day and lots of stimulation and love! It is important to know that I expect to be able to leave my property for a minimum of 2 x 2 hour periods per day to accommodate the needs of my other furry clients. Photos and updates are provided.

I also love spending time with pets and care for them, especially go on long walks and actively play with them.

I hired Réka to look after my two cats while i was away for my wedding. Réka is such a lovely girl and I felt instantly at ease meeting her in person. I could tell she was trustworthy right away and would be a calming presence for my cats. She gave us thorough updates of the cats during every drop in along with photos, so I knew they were both alright. When I got back home, my cats did not show any signs of stress and seemed very relaxed. This is a big thing as my older cat Kiki is very shy and becomes stressed easily with new people. She is an indoor cat, so enrichment is super important and Dylan was a complete hit with her. Is obvious that Dylan has a real connection with animals, he was Sybils best friend immediately ( he didn't even have to bribe her with treats haha) which made ne feel confident to entrust my little world to him I really appreciated the video and photos he sent. 100% recommend.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
