Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in your home, I follow specific instructions and stick to your pets routine as much as possible. I provide exercise, fun, playful training, security, reassurance and affection. I am happy to tailor my approach where necessary based on the requested info received.

Information Joe P. would like to know about your pet

Health and medical history. Any old/chronic conditions or injuries, medications required, allergies. Likes/Dislikes, fears, triggers, temperament. Level of training - type of training used, known commands and corrections. Level of recall. Their motivators (treats, attention, balls/toys). Exercise needs - level of exercise required, preferred method of exercise. How comfortable they are in different environments (parks, moors, woods, beach, cars etc). Diet - feeding schedule, eating habits, any special requirements or things to look out for. Any routines put in place. Contact Information - I would prefer more than one contact in case of emergency.

A typical day

I like to tailor the day based on your pets needs. If your pet is high energy and requires lots of exercise, I like to utilise long walks with lots of stimulus or take them to an enclosed field where we can play fetch. Should your pet be used to more gentle or small bursts of exercise I would generally take them on smaller walks and inlcude playtime with their favourite toy. I also like to do some playful training to stimulate your pets mind and give them positive reinforcement and affection. Ultimately it all depends on the pet, my goal is to give your pet a positive experience and make them feel as comfortable as possible whilst you are away

Reliable sitter and walker

Pet care experience

I've been surrounded by numerous pets my whole life. My main focus has always been dogs, I have extensive experience with large/giant breeds, having owned several over the years. I pride myself on their level of training, intelligence and happiness. I am confident with anxious and temperamental dogs, as well as animals requiring regular medication/additional needs. Providing I have all of the information I need beforehand. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them. If you are looking for someone experienced in training and caring for most household pets, feel free to get in touch. I am more than happy to discuss how best I can support you and your companion/s.

Joe was great, very professional and takes a lot of pride in providing the best care for animals. Joe was respectful of our home and gave our cats lots of fuss and attention. I would recommend Joe and would use him again.

Joe was great with my 2 dogs. I was very nervous as I’ve never left them with anyone before and I know they can be hard work on walks with pulling. I had regular updates and Joe worked on lead work with them. I came home to two very chilled happy dogs. Highly recommend and will definitely book Joe again.
