About: I’ve been dog walking and boarding for over two years, and I’m usually the first call when friends need someone to care for their pets while they’re away. I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and all kinds of animals, so caring for pets has always been part of my life. I’m a massive dog lover (my daughter is too!), and your pup will be treated like one of the family. I’m currently working part time and my job allows me to be home almost all the time. I tend to have max. of 2 dogs at time so they get as much attention and care as possible I am based in Livermead, only 5mins from the beach where dogs are welcome even during the summer and 5mins drive to Cockington park. Walk along seafront is always good too! Garden is fenced, and location is perfect for walkies.

I grew up in Guernsey the wonderful smaller isle of the Channel Islands, and have moved to Portsmouth 4 years ago, I had been looking after my work Colleagues dogs and then he mentioned this fantastic app Rover so thought I’d join in the fun and have dogs around me more often and I love it!! I would love to help with your pets care, from a hamster to a dog I am happy to help where I can. let me help you enjoy your holiday or event you may have planned by taking out the worry of what can you do with your pet. I am DBS credited so you will have peace of mind your home will be in safe hands. I can watch your dogs, cats, birds or even the fish! I am currently not boarding at present as I am between houses, however I’m available to house sit and do drop in’s several times a day. I also offer one to one walks. No pack walks. Myself and partner both work however but our shifts are different making it easy to care for your pet. Early afternoon finishes for hubby. Late morning starts for me and we also have the weekends off. The longest they would be left is for approximately 4 hours till someone is back home. Hubby works out and about in his van so can always pop in for puppy pats and treats. we would be happy to take two dogs from the same home to board at our home. we can offer pop ins if near by early in the morning or lunch time, also walks in the afternoon and evening. High walled back yard with plenty of space to run and play. No children to pull and poke your beloved pet. Two adults who adore animals but can’t have our own. We would welcome any opportunity to look after your pet. Doggy therapy is the best.

This means I have flexibility on working hours but on some days I may be out of the house for a few hours but I provide full transparency on this. This does contain some stairs. I allow my pets on the sofa but they must be flea and tick treated. I have a large crate and a dog bed which can be located in our roomy utility room if they need a safe environment that’s quiet.

About: I have worked on farms and studied animal care everything from welfare to animal management. I have grown up around different breeds and have a passion for spending as much time with dogs as possible. I believe all dogs are unique and a blessing. I am available for dog walks and any requirement you need for your dog i look to satisfy. There is no time in the day im not available or from short notice. Unfortunately i dont have the ability to home a dog dud to living arrangements. But am happy to meet any requirements of the dog owners requests.

“Sophie took excellent care of our cat Lilly. We have had issues with pet sitters in the past and I was nervous of leaving Lilly again. Sophie definitely put my mind at ease. She came for a visit beforehand to meet her and asked lots of questions to find out all of her needs. It was so lovely to meet her and she was very knowledgeable on pet care. Sophie was also very considerate of my autistic daughter who wanted her to send pictures and videos so she wouldn't worry. Sophie was more than happy to do this and my daughter was over the moon. We could see by these updates that Lilly was relaxed and well looked after. On our return, Lilly was of course, happy to see us but once she had a bit of fuss, it was clear she was content and had no stress at all. Sophie left everything exactly as it was and even did the little bit of washing up that I hadn't managed to do before leaving as well as emptying the dishwasher. It was such a relief to know that Lilly was in good hands! I got to enjoy my holiday knowing my fur baby was safe and cared for. I would definitely recommend Sophie to look after your pets and absolutely will book her in the future (if she's available of course 😀). Thank you Sophie 😊”

I have a 6-8ft fence around my large garden/patio, my Coco (staffy) was an escape artist, extra precautions were needed. She was an energetic wigglebum.

About: We’ve both had dogs in our lives from young ages. Ash’s mum has had many litters so we are well versed in puppy care too! We are happy to discuss puppy & elderly dogs coming to stay with us too. We have looked after our family’s dogs and cats many times. Look forward to hearing from you! We are both busy term time Monday - Friday but can dog sit in the evenings if needed. Very free on the weekends and half terms if and when you need it. We are happy to take dogs out evenings and weekends. We have a fenced back garden and no other dogs for them to play with unfortunately! We are happy for them to be crated whilst they’re with us. We had an open space kitchen so can easily stretch out in there for the living room.

About: I grew up in Newcastle with a border terrier called Dandy, who I miss dearly. Since then, I have had cats: Charlie, a ginger tom, Sherlock, a chocolate point Burmese, and Gizmo, a blue Burmese. I now have Teddy, another chocolate-point Burmese, and Nala, a Bengal- cross. I was actively involved with dog walking and looking after Clyde, a friend’s very warm, cuddly and friendly Labrador. I have since looked after a Shih Tzu called Bertie, and love is a little knowing face. Jello is such a sweet dog, whom I've looked after many times, and he loves his cuddles. I am a counsellor in private practice and also work at a secondary school. I am available during the week and at weekends. Some weeks during school holidays, I can stay in your home as I work remotely. During term time, I can travel to work and look after your pet if very local. Caring for pets in your home will be down to following your daily routine, which your pets are used to. It is important to meet them first so that your pet can get used to me. I will let your pet come to me first, as it is important to give them space so they feel safe.

About: I’ve had dogs by my side for as long as I can remember from a very early age, from bouncy pups to gentle seniors and everything in between - including my current dog, a Romanian rescue, Jonas, who is now my best friend! Over the years, I’ve experienced all kinds of personalities — including those a little shy, anxious, or reactive — and I truly believe every dog deserves patience, understanding, and a walk they can enjoy. I know our dogs become family - so when you trust me with your pup, whether for a quick walk or a longer holiday, you can rest easy knowing they’ll be treated like one of my own. My walks are safe, relaxed, and full of love (and maybe a few extra treats!). Whether your dog needs a fun adventure or a calm companion, I’m here to make sure they’re happy, cared for, and wagging their tail every time they see me coming. I have recently left my full time office job to try and take on dog walking as my full time career - this means I am fully flexible to work around you and your pups needs. Whether it’s a quick walk during the work day, or a weekend boarding, I can adapt my schedule around you. I have a large garden, which is unfenced however would always be supervised, whilst also living a 5 minute walk from a dog friendly beach, so a lot of beach walks and sea swims are available! I have my own dog, Jonas, to keep your furry friends company at home or on walks, who is also crate trained. I have basic knowledge of dog first aid, and I am currently in the process of getting my K9 first aid certificate to make sure your pup is in safe hands whatever happens.

About: I have had animals for my entire life and love all species and breeds. I’m particularly experienced with big dogs which makes handling all sizes much easier. I’ve developed the ability to recognise their behaviours and needs and act accordingly with confidence and patience. I work part time and am aspiring to start a career in animal welfare, so i’m willing to be as flexible and helpful as possible. I’m happy to follow any instructions and promise to act politely and respectfully when in or around anyone’s home, keeping the animals safe and happy.

About: I Currently have two Cats that I helped birth Tash and Gizmo. They are my housemates. I love them to bits ! I've had cats my entire life and the most I owned was 9 when I lived on a farm ! I'm an emergency first aider, calm in a crisis and almost lost Tash last year when she was bitten by a rat. She needed surgery and it was a 3 month recovery where I didn't leave her side. I organised a fundraiser to help pay the huge vets bill after vets suggested we put her down. She's currently snuggled on my lap and I'm so glad we both fought for her to still be here ! I will treat your cats like they are my own and 99% of cats warm to me almost instantly. I've owned birds, rabbits, reptiles, rats, dogs, pygmy goats, sheep and kune kune pigs.. all as pets ! We've pet sat in the USA, Spain and even in the Peruvian jungle and have great references. Self employed and love playing and bonding with all animals. We enjoy looking after people's pets all over the world. Its purrfect for us. We treat your pets like members of our own family. We like to find out each individuals likes, needs and requirements as every pet is different
