About: I’ve been dog walking and boarding for over two years, and I’m usually the first call when friends need someone to care for their pets while they’re away. I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and all kinds of animals, so caring for pets has always been part of my life. I’m a massive dog lover (my daughter is too!), and your pup will be treated like one of the family. I’m currently working part time and my job allows me to be home almost all the time. I tend to have max. of 2 dogs at time so they get as much attention and care as possible I am based in Livermead, only 5mins from the beach where dogs are welcome even during the summer and 5mins drive to Cockington park. Walk along seafront is always good too! Garden is fenced, and location is perfect for walkies.
About: I have been taking care of pets through borrow my doggy app, caring for a gorgeous border collie and many others quite recently and having had experience in my personal life of living with dogs. I am a respectful, experienced and dedicated pet sitter and helper. I enjoy all dogs and they have fun hanging out with me. Making sure their needs are met and more! Recently pet sat for a lovely black Labrador puppy for a few hours. I’m currently using this platform as my main job and therefor would be putting this first over other jobs I would have in the future as this is one of my passions. I have no prior commitments. I am available 24/7 At a pets home, I would discuss with the owner what the dog enjoys, preferences and accommodate within the discussions had and on top of that, I would bring treats specific if a diet was required. Being attentive is key and an awareness.

About: Although I don’t have professional pet-sitting experience, I’ve grown up around animals and have my own dog, so I understand how much love, attention and care they need. Because I work away at times, it isn’t practical for me to have more pets of my own, which is why I love having the opportunity to care for other people’s beloved animals when I am home from work. When I’m home from work, I’m home full-time, so your pet will receive plenty of companionship, attention and care throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, daycare or boarding, I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, so I’ll happily keep you updated with regular photos and messages for complete peace of mind. I love animals of all kinds and would be delighted to meet your furry family members. I can’t wait to give them lots of love, cuddles and attention while you’re away! I work on a rotational schedule, so my availability varies throughout the month. When I’m home, I’m home full time and can provide plenty of attention, walks and companionship. I keep my Rover calendar up to date, so you’ll always be able to see my availability before booking. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I’ll take the time to learn about their routine, personality and any specific needs before their stay, so they can feel as comfortable as possible. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding schedules, exercise, medication or favourite routines. My home is calm, clean and pet friendly, with plenty of space for your pet to relax. I’ll provide regular updates and photos throughout their stay, walks or my visits so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy and well cared for.
About: I grew up in Newcastle with a border terrier called Dandy, who I miss dearly. Since then, I have had cats: Charlie, a ginger tom, Sherlock, a chocolate point Burmese, and Gizmo, a blue Burmese. I now have Teddy, another chocolate-point Burmese, and Nala, a Bengal- cross. I was actively involved with dog walking and looking after Clyde, a friend’s very warm, cuddly and friendly Labrador. I have since looked after a Shih Tzu called Bertie, and love is a little knowing face. Jello is such a sweet dog, whom I've looked after many times, and he loves his cuddles. I am a counsellor in private practice and also work at a secondary school. I am available during the week and at weekends. Some weeks during school holidays, I can stay in your home as I work remotely. During term time, I can travel to work and look after your pet if very local. Caring for pets in your home will be down to following your daily routine, which your pets are used to. It is important to meet them first so that your pet can get used to me. I will let your pet come to me first, as it is important to give them space so they feel safe.
About: Historically, I've had about 12 years experience with dogs. I used to foster lots of different breeds in a loving home. I had dogs come to me with all kinds of issues I helped them overcome them and equipped them to settle into a loving forever home. My partner of three years had two elderly rescues when we met, one has dementia (Harvey) and one had aggression issues (we lost Dudley in September). I helped with their care from the beginning and gained both of their trust and love. I live a very dog friendly home. A ground floor flat with enclosed back outside area, opposite a park. I live in a very dog friendly area with many dog friendly facilities nearby. I am trustworthy, caring and intuitive in my interactions with canines. I hope to make a career from boarding/walking/caring for canines, what could be better than to make a living out of something I love. My partner and I aren't ready for a new permanent dog after losing Dudley, so boarding is win win for us and update losing our beloved harvey rip fly with the angels rip dudley and harvey 🙏 I'm free nearly every day so availibility will not be a probleme message me and I fit you in my routine I'm very flexible. i have a back garden fenced off we have a park opposite us nice walks our home is very dog friendly warm energy we make dogs fèel at home and comfy like going from home to home

Minty was pleased to see us then been in the hallway looking at front door waiting for her friend to come 😂 we appreciate everything you have done and definitely will have you back next time we go on holiday. About: I Currently have two Cats that I helped birth Tash and Gizmo. They are my housemates. I love them to bits ! I've had cats my entire life and the most I owned was 9 when I lived on a farm ! I'm an emergency first aider, calm in a crisis and almost lost Tash last year when she was bitten by a rat. She needed surgery and it was a 3 month recovery where I didn't leave her side. I organised a fundraiser to help pay the huge vets bill after vets suggested we put her down. She's currently snuggled on my lap and I'm so glad we both fought for her to still be here ! I will treat your cats like they are my own and 99% of cats warm to me almost instantly. I've owned birds, rabbits, reptiles, rats, dogs, pygmy goats, sheep and kune kune pigs.. all as pets ! We've pet sat in the USA, Spain and even in the Peruvian jungle and have great references. Self employed and love playing and bonding with all animals. We enjoy looking after people's pets all over the world. Its purrfect for us. We treat your pets like members of our own family. We like to find out each individuals likes, needs and requirements as every pet is different

About: About Me – Your Trusted Pet Care Provider Hi, I’m Hayley, a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes! From cats and dogs to hamsters, tortoises, and even fish—I’ve had the joy of looking after them all. My journey with animals started young, working in a veterinary practice while still in school. I then spent two years at Paignton Zoo while earning my BTEC in Animal Care, followed by university studies in Animal Science. My passion for animal welfare even took me to South Africa, where I self-funded a trip to work on a conservation park alongside incredible wildlife like elephants and lions. More recently, I sadly lost my beloved blue Staffy, Luna. She was my best friend, and her passing has left a paw-shaped hole in my heart. That’s why I’m offering my time, love, and experience to care for your pets as if they were my own. Whether it’s dog walking, pet sitting, or boarding, I provide a safe, loving, and experienced service you can trust. Let’s give your furry (or scaly!) family members the care they deserve! Get in touch today—I can’t wait to meet them. I work part time - on a hybrid basis- at home and elsewhere if needed. This means I have flexibility on working hours but on some days I may be out of the house for a few hours but I provide full transparency on this. Depending on your pets requirements I would love a chat and meet your furry friends to see how I can help you out! I have a welcoming bungalow with a fenced outside area. This does contain some stairs. I allow my pets on the sofa but they must be flea and tick treated. I have a large crate and a dog bed which can be located in our roomy utility room if they need a safe environment that’s quiet.

About: We’ve both had dogs in our lives from young ages. Ash’s mum has had many litters so we are well versed in puppy care too! We are happy to discuss puppy & elderly dogs coming to stay with us too. We have looked after our family’s dogs and cats many times. Look forward to hearing from you! We are both busy term time Monday - Friday but can dog sit in the evenings if needed. Very free on the weekends and half terms if and when you need it. We are happy to take dogs out evenings and weekends. We have a fenced back garden and no other dogs for them to play with unfortunately! We are happy for them to be crated whilst they’re with us. We had an open space kitchen so can easily stretch out in there for the living room.
“Carly was a fantastic sitter for Winnie and Otis. She kindly agreed to meet us on our walk first so the dogs could see her before she came later that evening. She is a very friendly, bubbly lady and made us feel right at ease.”

Jaime is a kind and professional young lady who will give your cats the best of cares ! When she got to our house, she immediately made friends with the shyest of our two kitties- she clearly has "the cat touch " ! During our weekend away, we regularly received photos and videos of Cobweb and Floki feeding and playing, which made us feel happy and reassured. We got home to two happy kitties, and will definitely use Jaime's services again !
Absolutely fantastic sitter who goes above and beyond for cats! I was really nervous about leaving Ralph alone for the first time but was reassured that he was great hands until our return and got lots of updates from Kirsty every visit. So grateful to Kirsty for looking after Ralph for us

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Torbay pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Torbay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
