Safety, trust & environment
I will offer a animal-centered approach and meet the animals individual needs. This includes whilst on walks and/or whilst doing visits. If you have any specialised requests, please don't hesitate to ask. I would feel comfortable administering medication ect.
Information Sarah D. would like to know about your pet
I will require information of any medical problems your dog has prior to walking. This is to ensure the walk is appropriate for your dog and I am educated on their condition should I need to provide care to them whilst out. I also need to know if your dog suffers from any form of anxiety/aggressive tenancies; seperation anxiety, dog aggression, human aggression, toy guarding, food aggression ect. This is to ensure that the correct steps are taken to prevent any potentially issues and keep the dog, myself and the public safe. I will also need to know how well trained your dog is and if it has good recall. I will not allow dogs of the lead until a good relationship if formed even if they have good recall. If they don't it's OK, I can keep them on the lead.
A typical day
As I love walking and being outdoors the locations will vary. Although I will charge for a 1 hour walk, it is likely your canine will be with me for two hours (to include travel time). If your dog gets car sickness or doesn't like the car then a local walk can be arranged. I will visit a range of locations including the moors, woods, beaches ect...

Pet care experience
I have a first class honours bachelors degree in Animal science. I have also just completed my Level 3 in Dog Grooming, at Merit. Through these courses I have learnt alot about canine & feline behaviour plus positive training techniques. I also have a Pet First Aid certificate, Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Diploma and Canine Communication Diploma. So, your pets will be in safe hands. Additionally, I have experience working as an Animal Assistant previously at Prickly Ball Farm and currently run my own dog walking/grooming and pet sitting business. Dogs - When I'm taking your canines out for a walk, they are likely to be out for two hours (to include travel time), however, this will only be charged at the hourly walking rate. If dogs don't like traveling in the car then local walks can be arranged. I'll send updates with photos regardless of where we walk. I can only currently take on dogs who are good in groups, unless a pop in home visit is preferred then this can be done as a 1;1. Other pets - I can provide home visits for a range of animals including but not limited to: dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits and lizards. I'm known as the crazy cat lady by those close to me so I have a very soft spot for all felines
