Animal lover; lots of experience with cats & dogs
I worked in a local kennel during summer 2022 caring for cats and dogs every weekend. I have experience with many breeds of dogs, growing up we always had Rhodesian Ridgebacks so I’m used to big dogs. More recently I’ve adopted older cats but I have experience with younger cats too. I’ve spent time pet sitting for friends and family since childhood and more recently have gained experience looking after animals with additional needs and complex medical requirements. I also have experience with small animals, rescuing hamsters since 17.

My second house sitting booking with Caroline. I drove away from my house knowing Koda was relaxed and content in the garden with Caroline. I particularly appreciated the photos and texts that Caroline regularly sent because the sitting took place over one of our heatwaves. I could relax because Caroline was closely assessing how Koda was coping with walks and extreme heat - photos of her relaxing in the shade of the garden/wood - moreover, walks were left until cooler periods. It was reassuring to know that Koda's needs were first and foremost. I returned to one happy dog. Once again, I have no hesitation in recommending Caroline.

Recently I booked Caroline to walk my dog Koda and, following that, she 'house sat' for me over a weekend. Caroline clearly has a great love of dogs, with a confident manner about her which led to an immediate rapport with Koda. Caroline sent me regular updates of what they had been doing together along with photos. This was reassuring and allowed me to have a relaxing break away. I returned to a happy dog who was clearly delighted to have made a new friend. I would have no hesitation in booking Caroline again and highly recommend her.
Caroline was absolutely brilliant in every way! The booking was last minute but she made time to come out and meet our slightly nervous Labrador and instantly you could tell she has a way with animals. She kept in touch (as we requested). She was very understanding of his medication needs and administered everything he needed. He was settled and happy and she left the house looking perfect. Highly reccomend. Thank you so much!
Caroline was absolutely fantastic caring for our large dog and 2 cats for 7 nights. They settled with her so well and she gave us regular updates. Our dog fell poorly during our holiday and Caroline went above and beyond looking after him. Thank you so very much, we're so grateful!
Oreo had a wonderful time, as he did previously. He went on walks, chilled and had lovely new experiences too. Caroline took great care of him.

Schedule
I’m currently studying nursing at university but my course is mainly online so I spend a lot of time at home. Due to the nature of my course there are periods in which I will not be home for prolonged periods of time thus affecting my availability. The days I am not at university are mainly spent at home but I would also be available for walks, drop ins and boarding either at my house or yours.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden for outdoor play and an open plan downstairs of the house. I live within walking distance for nice walks and on a quiet street for outdoor adventures. My partner would assist to look after the animal at times, he has experience with cats and dogs. I am DBS checked through my work and university.
Pets
A typical day
Locally to me there are lots of lovely walks or dog paddocks. I know safe areas to walk high energy dogs or quiet places for the more timid pet.
