“Emma looked after my two dogs Tilly and Mabel while we went out for the day. It was the first time I had left them with anyone other than family and I felt a bit anxious. After meeting Emma on the meet and greet I felt really confident in leaving them with her as she had a calm and kind nature. By the end of the day out the dogs were very happy to be with her. I will certainly be booking Emma again and would highly recommend her.”

About: I've always loved animals, i've had a way with them and I would choose them over people anyday, Caring for them is something i've also done for a while having looked after my own pets ranging from rabbits puppies and birds. I've also helped out family caring for their pets when needed in the 2020 pandemic looking after their cat. I'm currently looking for work so I have a lot of free time, I try to be active so pet care and walks fits easily into my routine I can only offer walks or house visits. I will give pets plenty of attention and do my best to cater to their needs make sure they have plenty of water and follow any requests owners might have
“I hired Réka to look after my two cats while i was away for my wedding. Réka is such a lovely girl and I felt instantly at ease meeting her in person. I could tell she was trustworthy right away and would be a calming presence for my cats. She gave us thorough updates of the cats during every drop in along with photos, so I knew they were both alright. When I got back home, my cats did not show any signs of stress and seemed very relaxed. This is a big thing as my older cat Kiki is very shy and becomes stressed easily with new people. It was nice to know that she had been comfortable while Réka took care of them and I would definitely ask Réka to help us out in future! Thanks again!”

About: Hello there! My name is Amy. I have a lot of experience with pets (dogs & cats) as I have worked in boarding kennels/cattery in both UK and Norway. A lot of dogs and cats that I have taken care of have been regulars at my kennels/cattery so they became like my own pets! I love to build bonds with any animal and would really like some company whilst I am out on walks or in a home having some quiet/play time. I have always been a very responsible person and would love to get to know you a little before you trust me with your fur-baby! Hope to meet you and your pets soon! Thank you x Currently available for walks and drop-ins Mon-Sun 8AM to 6PM. Any breed, any size, any personality 🐶🐱 I adore cats too and would love to get to know more! I have my own transport and can travel to pet sit and walk. I don’t mind exercising/feeding/playing or just keeping your loved one some company.
“Sarah has been fantastic looking after my two cats! I got so many wonderful pictures and videos every day and she updated me on everything they'd been up to. I would absolutely rebook Sarah again, she was incredibly respectful of my home and would recommend her to anyone :) Thanks!”

I am also a Musical Director and Project Manager, I work from home most of the time but do often work some evenings. Housesitting: I am delighted to offer my services as a house-sitter at competitive rates, as I work both inside and outside of the house during my week. I work from home most of the week, as I work as a Project Manager and Musical Director, so I'm only out for around 10 hours a week! I have a big house with a dedicated Dog room and lovely grassy garden! Dogs are absolutely allowed in the rest of the house during the day. I have plenty of doors in between their main room and the front exit, so dogs are very safe and secure in the house. PLEASE NOTE: I will only accept non-reactive dogs with no vocal issues. I live in a terraced house with 2 resident dogs, so unfortunately I cannot accept dogs who are reactive/ will reactively bark/ whimper excessively.

“Dylan is amazing! The UKs Jackson Gakaxy ( the cat daddy). My cat sybil loves him. He took the time to get to know her and gained her trust. She is an indoor cat, so enrichment is super important and Dylan was a complete hit with her. Is obvious that Dylan has a real connection with animals, he was Sybils best friend immediately ( he didn't even have to bribe her with treats haha) which made ne feel confident to entrust my little world to him I really appreciated the video and photos he sent. 100% recommend.”

About: I have experience caring for pets through owning my own dog and cat, as well as looking after friends’ and family members’ dogs. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment. I am patient, reliable, and enjoy spending time with animals, whether that involves walks, playtime, feeding routines, or simply keeping them company. I am comfortable with both energetic younger pets and calmer older animals who may need a more gentle approach. I’m currently off for the summer from university. I’m available at short notice for all pet needs, from walks to housesitting and more. In my own home, I care for pets by providing a safe, clean, and calm environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I make sure feeding times are consistent, fresh water is always available, and pets have a routine that helps them feel settled. I spend time on daily exercise and play, especially for dogs, and I give attention and interaction based on each pet’s personality and needs. For cats, I ensure they have quiet spaces, clean litter areas, and access to enrichment and attention when they want it, while also respecting their independence. As a dog and cat owner myself, I understand the importance of supervision, routine, and making pets feel at home. I would treat any pet in my care with the same responsibility and attention I give my own animals.

About: I’ve always been pet sitting my family members/friends pets since I was little and have always loved it! Now that i’m at university, I don’t see their pets that often anymore and since im far away from home and love animals i decided i’d like to start pet sitting around where I live! I’m happy with small and big pets.
About: I'm motivated as I'm not able to have dogs of my own as I'm currently renting a place that doesn't allow pets. I look after my friends puppy and helped her puppy to acclimatize when she first got her. I know everyone probably says this, but I love animals and treasure every chance I get to spend time with one. I work full time hours but compact into four days and on a bi weekly schedule so have four consecutive days off every other week. So fairly flexible. Able to walk dogs any day as I can do that even on my days working. I always make sure that I understand the owners wishes and requirements regarding the care of their dogs both at home and outside. As well as any boundaries regarding their home when completing home visits and stays.

Our first time leaving Elsa with someone she doesn’t know and Skye was brilliant! Communication was spot on, she made sure that Elsa was able to choose whether to interact and even came in earlier for us knowing that her usual feed time was incredibly early! We’d 100% recommend Skye!

Could not fault Sophie if I tried. My three absolutely adored her visits and this was shown with my least social one also being home for every time she came over. Sophie did everything requested and more. My kitties warmed up to her very quickly and I was kept up to date the entire time with pics and notes regarding visits. 100% going to book again. Thank you so much, and Oreo says meow.

Kate was amazing looking after my cat Silkie while I was away. She sent me lots of photos and videos after each visit, along with updates on how he was doing, which gave me real peace of mind. It was clear she genuinely cared for him, she even picked up on how happy he was to see her when she visited, which meant a lot to me. She was so kind and complimentary about Silkie too. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Kate again. Definitely recommend!

Emma was amazing. Leo was taken care of so well. He is a very shy cat but warmed up to her quite quickly. She was also very helpful with last minute changes to timings and days. Emma also updated us on every visit with photos and updates on how he was, which was great as we were able to know how he was. Thank you Emma for being so flexible, understanding and being so amazing with Leo.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
