“Emily was great. She was available short notice for us after a friend wasn’t able to look after our cat and she really helped us out. Excellent communication, flexible in terms of our pets needs, attentive and caring. Will definitely use again :)”

“Emma was really kind when we met her for the meet and greet which reassured us that she would be a great person just to pop in to feed and check that our cats and kittens were all okay when we were away for the weekend!! the pictures and notes were amazing to recieve! Would definitely recommend and rebook again, thank you so much!!!!!!”

“Rebecca did a super job looking after Ziggy again for the second time. She was really reliable and did a great job! Ziggy was definitely pleased to see her! We will be using her again a great service. 👍😊”

“Karolina is fantastic 👏 did a fabulous job of looking after my 3 cats!! Especially since I had so many things for her to do she was so considerate and nothing was too much trouble! Fit me in last minute too! Kept me in the loop and came home to happy cats 🐈 highly recommend her and will be using her for any future sitting!! Thanks so much 🙏”

“I hired Réka to look after my two cats while i was away for my wedding. Réka is such a lovely girl and I felt instantly at ease meeting her in person. I could tell she was trustworthy right away and would be a calming presence for my cats. She gave us thorough updates of the cats during every drop in along with photos, so I knew they were both alright. When I got back home, my cats did not show any signs of stress and seemed very relaxed. This is a big thing as my older cat Kiki is very shy and becomes stressed easily with new people. It was nice to know that she had been comfortable while Réka took care of them and I would definitely ask Réka to help us out in future! Thanks again!”

“Tabea is a great pet sitter, very patient and calm with animals and gives them time to get used to her. Our cat Alfie loved her and spending time with her (and we could see that very well from the daily pictures and journals she shared). She is very precise in her job and pays good attention to details. Everything was done exactly as we asked and our cat had everything provided for him. Highly recommended and would definetely rebook again in the future”

“Morgan is a very responsible and professional person, the care of my cat who is very distrustful was done very well. Thank you very much, I will definitely use your services again. Kind regards”

“Sarah did drop in visits for our little Archie, while we were away on a trip for 2 weeks. She took really good care of him. Archie likes to play in the yard, and Sarah made sure he had enough sun shine whenever it's possible! She also spent time cuddling and playing with Archie to keep him happy, in addition to regular feeding, litter changing etc. She also gives regular updates with photos and videos. Recommend booking Sarah for your peace of mind!”

I felt my cat was well looked after during our recent break over the bank holiday. Great interest in the cat whilst preparing for our absence, asking the necessary questions. During our absence, we received updates that reassured us he was just fine without us. Thank you, Joe. We will ask for your assistance again when we need it. 👏

Very very good . Highly recommend Victoria. Other than just feeding our cat took time to give her a lovely fuss which she really enjoyed and Victoria sent pictures of visits . My friend has used Victoria too which is where I heard about cat in a flat in the first place.

Karolina is fantastic 👏 did a fabulous job of looking after my 3 cats!! Especially since I had so many things for her to do she was so considerate and nothing was too much trouble! Fit me in last minute too! Kept me in the loop and came home to happy cats 🐈 highly recommend her and will be using her for any future sitting!! Thanks so much 🙏

Our first time leaving Elsa with someone she doesn’t know and Skye was brilliant! Communication was spot on, she made sure that Elsa was able to choose whether to interact and even came in earlier for us knowing that her usual feed time was incredibly early! We’d 100% recommend Skye!

I hired Réka to look after my two cats while i was away for my wedding. Réka is such a lovely girl and I felt instantly at ease meeting her in person. I could tell she was trustworthy right away and would be a calming presence for my cats. She gave us thorough updates of the cats during every drop in along with photos, so I knew they were both alright. Could not fault Sophie if I tried. My three absolutely adored her visits and this was shown with my least social one also being home for every time she came over. Sophie did everything requested and more. My kitties warmed up to her very quickly and I was kept up to date the entire time with pics and notes regarding visits. 100% going to book again. Thank you so much, and Oreo says meow.

Kate was amazing looking after my cat Silkie while I was away. She sent me lots of photos and videos after each visit, along with updates on how he was doing, which gave me real peace of mind. It was clear she genuinely cared for him, she even picked up on how happy he was to see her when she visited, which meant a lot to me. She was so kind and complimentary about Silkie too. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Kate again. Definitely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
