“Beth is amazing. Very accommodating to changing schedules and keeps me informed with regular messages and updates. My collie/lurcher loves her and she makes sure he is well looked after when I am unable to. I highly recommend Beth.”

“Jen was excellent. She communicated clearly prior to our booking, and visited us promptly for the meet and greet. Her updates from the drop-ins were reassuring and accompanied by good photos of the cats. We will definitely be booking Jen again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my whole life, providing love, exercise, and companionship. Experienced with various breeds and personalities, I ensure pets feel safe and happy. Schedule: Working from home allows me to stop by for daytime check-ins as required. I’m available for evening walks and longer, more enjoyable walks on weekends. I have a fenced garden however will not be accepting boarding in my home due to my two cats needing their own space. Happy to attend an owners home to care as needed
About: i’ve volunteered to help a doggy daycare care where i helped walk, feed, wash dogs. in the past i have used my home to dog sit for people who needed their puppies trained and who didn’t want to leave their puppies on their own so they would come to me and i would train and keep the puppies entertained for the day i am currently in education, but my schedule is relaxed so i can do tuesdays 9-11am and 2-4pm, thursdays 9-11am and 2-4pm, fridays 2-4pm and anytime on sundays my dog is well loved and well cared for, unfortunately we don’t have a garden but we take him on long walks every 3 hours to make sure his needs are met. he has an array of toys to keep happy and i love playing catch and tug of war to keep him entertained. he eats 2 a day, morning and night, with treats throughout the day when warranted. he is bathed and groomed regularly so it does not affect his health and has his monthly anti worm and flea tablet.

“Tom responded promptly to an urgent request. He attended to meet Shelby and I the next day to go over what was needed and for us all to enjoy the benefits of an introduction as we hadn't met before. Throughout the multi-day booking I was given regular updates. On return Shelby appeared fit, well and her usual self so I would not hesitate to recommend Tom or use him again.”

“Very happy with how Harriet looked after our two elderly ragdolls. We came home to very happy cats who had clearly been well looked after. Particularly impressed that they had been given a good brush so were nice and fluffy. Totally recommend 🙂”

“Stevie was amazing our cat! Our cat Jem gets very upset when we go away, but we were regularly updated with pictures of her who came out to see Stevie and play! She was so well looked after and we could go away with peace of mind, thank you Stevie!”

“Rosie is lovely and gave me daily updates on my cat whilst we were away. She came over beforehand to meet our cat and figure out where everything was. Really pleased and would recommend 😊”

About: About me: I've always had some sort of pet since I can remember (dogs, small animals, fish, reptiles). I grew up with Boxer's, so they hold a special place in my heart. But I love all dogs (like you should!) and have looked after a range of different breeds and sizes. We've had dogs from puppies into their older years, so I know how their needs change as they get older. I currently look after the family cocker spaniel most days, she's a good little companion but can't walk as far as she use to due to her arthritis. Extras: Studied: Animal biology (Welfare, behaviour, diets...) Worked in a kennels, looked after lots of different breeds, temperaments, ages, needs. Schedule: I currently have some free time and enjoy walking. I have plenty of time, and already look after a few dogs from time to time, so thought I could help out and look after a few more. Drop-In's: In the past I normally check on them make sure they're okay, let them out for toilet break, fresh water, snacks or meal and spend some time with them. When I leave, I follow there normal routine, make sure they're safe and relaxed again.
“Ashleigh was great looking after our Cat Cashew while we were away, kept me updated and even offered to go in an extra day to check on him when he was being fussy! Thanks Ashleigh!”

About: I am a graduate with a degree in Wildlife Conservation, and have recently relocated to South Devon from Kent. I adore animals and have completed many volunteer placements in animal rescue and rehabilitation. I have been working with the Environment Agency for the past year, and am now beginning a new role as an Assistant Ecologist. I would love to meet all your pets while I’m down here. I have had pet cats my entire life and have looked after many other dogs through Rover, BorrowmyDoggy and personal relationships. I currently work Monday-Friday until approximately 5pm, so would be more than happy to offer evenings and/or weekend walks. I am definitely flexible and happy to offer early morning walks if that is what your pet needs. Unfortunately, I cannot look after dogs in my own home as I have a cat and she will not like that! However, I will go to extra lengths to ensure your fur baby feels comfortable, safe and happy whilst I am in your home or out for a walk. I will send you photo updates throughout my care time to make you as the owner, also feel comfortable and happy that your pet is being well taken care of.
About: Hey guys! 👋 I’m always going for long hikes with my dog Juni or just cuddling and chilling around the house! I also enjoy riding my friends horses and just being outdoors enjoying our British weather 😁 it’s nice to have a buddy to keep me company, any pet will be treated like my own whilst in my care ❤️ I’ve worked in my clients homes for many years, providing them with care and support...I am respectful and very tidy. I’m free for dog walks and drop ins on weekends, will sometimes have availability during the week. I’m happy to take along my dog or can do line walks if needed. I’m always respectful of my clients homes, ensure their pet receives lots of love and attention. I provide walks and drop ins, happy to let pets out for toileting, feeding or just to have some company and play.
About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.
“Aneta looked after our dogs for the first time at the weekend, they warmed to her instantly and she took time to understand what our dogs liked/disliked. We’ve rebooked Aneta for a week or so in September and we feel happy and comfortable knowing our dogs are in good hands.”

About: My story 🐾 I’ve always loved animals! I grew up with rabbits and in 2022 I spent time in Italy caring for 3 dogs, 4 cats, and a rescue bunny while helping on a house renovation. Later that year, my partner and I opened a Rover profile and cared for lots of wonderful pets. After some travelling, we’ve now settled in Devon with our 1-year-old dog, Alby 🐾. My partner works full time, and I’m reopening the pet business alongside my part-time work. Animal Care 🐾 I am available for day or night pet sitting, walking, and drop ins, and we are considering boarding in the future too. I can care for your pup, cat or small animal. I am happy to arrange a free meet and greet before walks and sits. I’m very active and enjoy walking and exploring so will enjoy taking your pup for walks or keeping your cats healthy and active. However, if you need me to be purely at the house then that is fine too. As an owner you can tell me how you would like your pet to be looked after, and I will look after them as such. So, if you have a super strict schedule for them that’s fine or if you’re really laid back, that’s fine too! I may bring my dog Alby on some walks too. Please let me know if you would prefer him not to attend. He is such a loving boy and has been attending daycare whilst we have been working full time – so he is used to a variety of other breeds and temperaments. He will be a great pal for your dog! I have administered medication for pets before and with clear instructions would have no quarrels with taking on that extra responsibility. Prior to a sit, please let me know your vet details, backup contact, feeding & walking schedule, or if they require any medication. I know how important it is to feel your pets are safe, happy and well cared for when you’re away. 🐾Whether it’s a fun walk, a cosy overnight stay, or keeping their usual routine. I have cared for dogs of different sizes, ages and temperaments and will tailor each booking as such. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout. Availability 🐾 I will be working part-time hours at my regular job so if my Rover profile is showing some unavailability please feel free to message me if you need care during these hours and I will see what I can arrange. I am available for day or night pet sitting, walking, and drop ins, and we are considering boarding in the future too. I can care for your pup, cat or small animal. About: We are a dog walking and pet sitting business inspired by our two rescue dogs, Chase and Lacey — which is where the name Walkies with Chase and Lacey comes from 🐾 We specialise in 1-to-1 dog walks, perfect for nervous, reactive, or more sensitive dogs, while also offering small group walks for sociable pups. Through my experience owning rescue dogs, I understand that every dog is different. Some are confident and energetic, while others need patience, reassurance, and time to build trust — and I always work at each dog’s pace. I have hands-on experience with nervous and sensitive dogs. One of my own dogs, Chase, was extremely anxious around strangers when I first adopted him and avoided all contact. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I’ve helped him grow into a much more relaxed and social dog. Because of this, I’m very confident in reading body language and recognising when a dog may feel overwhelmed. I always prioritise making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and secure in my care. All services are tailored to suit your dog’s individual needs — whether that’s calm walks, playtime, or companionship while you’re away. Every dog is treated as if they were my own. I offer flexible availability throughout the week, with a focus on daytime walks and visits. Monday & Tuesday: Available mornings and early afternoons (before 3pm) Wednesday – Friday: Full availability for walks, visits, and pet sitting Saturday: Available during the day (before 5pm) Sunday: Available in the morning (before 11:30am) I’m also happy to offer pet sitting and overnight stays, depending on your dog or cat’s needs — feel free to message to discuss specific times. In a pet owner’s home, I aim to keep everything as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, as I know how important familiarity is — especially for nervous or sensitive pets. I make sure they get plenty of attention, enrichment, and companionship, while also respecting their space if they prefer a calmer approach. For dog walks, I offer both 1-to-1 and small group walks, depending on what suits your dog best. I pay close attention to body language and behaviour to ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable, and I always walk at their pace. These walks can include some enrichment games, ball throwing or just a good sniff in the bushes. If your dog loves something I’ll be sure to include it in our walk. For cats and smaller pets, I provide calm, gentle care — including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, and interaction based on their personality, whether that’s playtime or simply quiet company. I also keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and videos for peace of mind. If caring for pets in my own home (if applicable), I provide a safe, clean, and secure environment with plenty of attention, structure, and comfort, treating them as part of the family while they’re with me. I have a walled off garden and have two resident friendly dogs. There are multiple crates on site if your dog ever needs some me time. There are multiple areas to lounge including the sofa and dog beds. Due to warmer weather there is also a dog paddling pool in the garden

Extremely happy with Harriet looking after Roly and Atti. She kept me updated with messages and photos and ensured they were kept comfortable in the heat. When I returned home from my time away they were calm, well fed and happy. The sure sign of a good sitter. Would happily call upon Harriet again to look after my boys (if my long note of their requirements has not put her off 🤔🤣)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
