My Chow Chow has taken a real shine to Leoni. Lovely environment, plenty of secure mooching around space outside. Had some great photos of my girl there, which makes a real difference. We met up with Leoni and her dog initially just to see how they'd all get on. Then trial of leaving her there for a few hours. All went really well and Leoni takes this all in her calm, relaxed manner. Next step is our first overnight stay. Looking forward to seeing how this works out!

Freya had another wonderful stay with Mark and Donna. A very late booking and Mark was able to accommodate this week and next week. Freya is learning the skills of being a pooch and making fellow pooch friends. Mark is always there with photos and videos. A gem of a find.

Ela is super understanding of Mila’s anxiety and is really patient with her. We will defo rebook with Ela x

We are extremely pleased that we found Rhys on Rover. Rhys was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Rhys sent us photos throughout our Cocker’s stay, and it was clear that our boy felt at home with him. He was well and truly worn out when we picked him up from all the wonderful walks Rhys took him on. We are very grateful to Rhys and certainly be using him again in the future.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care and attention I give to every dog as if they were my own. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment so pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m patient and attentive to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means extra playtime, gentle walks, or quiet companionship. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, as I prioritise consistency, reliability, and flexibility. I structure my schedule to ensure I have dedicated time for walks, feeding, play, and companionship, so pets in my care receive proper attention rather than being squeezed in around other commitments. In both settings, I provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m attentive to behaviour, health, and wellbeing, and I’m happy to accommodate special requirements such as administering medication, caring for senior pets, or supporting basic training routines.

About: We absolutely love experiencing and exploring new places with our doggies (as you'll see from the photos). I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, and my first career was in veterinary nursing, which I practised for five years before welcoming my daughter into the world. Although that was some time ago, my background has given me invaluable experience in animal care, including administering medication, recognising changes in behaviour, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I now work in a school, which gives me plenty of availability during school holidays. My husband works from home, so there is usually someone around to provide company, supervision, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Our home is shared with our two friendly and mischievous Mini Goldendoodles, Philip and Wilbur, and our cat, Pumpkin. We offer a warm family environment with a secure walled garden, patio area, and spacious reception rooms with plenty of room for play, relaxation, and the occasional zoomies. We also have two animal-loving children (aged 8 and 11) who enjoy helping to give visiting pets lots of affection and attention. Every dog is different, so walks and activities can be tailored to suit their age, energy level, ability, and individual needs. Whether your pet enjoys long adventures, gentle strolls, playtime, or simply a cosy place to relax, we will do our best to make them feel happy, comfortable, and part of the family while they are with us. I work part-time in a school, which means I have plenty of time available for walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the week and during school holidays. My husband works from home full-time, so there is usually someone around to provide supervision, attention, and plenty of fuss throughout the day. We are fortunate to have access to beautiful local beaches, woodland walks, and open fields, allowing us to tailor each walk to suit your dog's age, energy level, and individual needs. Most dogs can enjoy two walks per day, typically ranging from 40 minutes to an hour, alongside garden time, enrichment, and plenty of cuddles at home. Every dog is different, so their routine can be adapted to ensure they are comfortable, happy, and getting the right amount of exercise and stimulation. Whether your pup enjoys energetic adventures or gentle strolls, we'll make sure they feel right at home with us. On the weekend we love exploring and going for days out as a family, furries and all! We have a fairly big house with lots of space for relaxing, play and zoomies, accompanied by decent sized, grassy garden and patio area. We have plenty of room for your dog to be crated if desired. Our dogs are all friendly and your pet would be treated like one of the family.

About: From the age of 6 my family adopted a dog and I walked and cared for him. Since then I have always loved dogs and their very individual personalities. Every time I visit my father in Spain, I happily am the one who cares for his dog. I am currently looking for work that I can do online, so that when I do have work, I would also be able to be home with the dog. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I usually visit a friend to work on an art project, although should you require a full week of dog sitting, book in advance and I can rearrange this. The dog would have access to a fenced garden. There are a few parks locally where the dog can also relieve themselves and exercise. Dogs being pack animals do love attention and I love to pet.

I can't recommend Talita, Neil, and their lovely dog Mala enough! They took care of Moka, our needy Doberman, for just over 10 days while we were out of the country. Communication was seamless, with frequent updates, photos, and videos. Moka had such a great time that we were almost worried he wouldn't want to come back home! We will definitely use their services again.

Daisy had an overnight stay with yves and nick and she had the best time. They are brilliant at communication and always send photos and videos so I know she is having just the best time with them. She is always so well looked after and I’m never left worrying about her at all. She loves them to absolute bits. She can be a fairly anxious dog around other people but they always make her feel so welcomed and looked after and within minutes it’s like she is at home already. They have the patience and love she needs and are just amazing with her. I Am so happy I found them and they will always be my choice to look after her.

About: We are a dog-loving family based on the edge of Exeter, with over three years’ experience as trained Guide Dog fosterers. Through our work with Guide Dogs, Luke and I have completed official training and have hands-on experience caring for dogs with a range of needs, routines, and temperaments. Before fostering, we’ve always had dogs in our lives as family pets, including supporting with breeding and puppy rearing, so we’re confident and capable with dogs of all ages. Our children (aged 8 and 11) are calm, respectful, and well used to being around dogs, understanding how to approach and interact with them safely. Both of us work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of attention, regular toilet breaks, and consistent care throughout the day, as well as daily walks. We lead an active outdoor lifestyle and enjoy trips to the beach, walks on Dartmoor, and (in the summer!) wild swimming—so there’s plenty of adventure on offer if your dog enjoys it. We live in a peaceful location with a good-sized woodland garden and easy access to beautiful rural walks, giving dogs space to explore, play, and relax. We absolutely love having dogs as part of family life and, while we’re not in a position to have one of our own just yet, we take real joy in caring for others as if they were part of our family. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine as we both work from home, so there is always someone available to provide consistent care, attention, and supervision throughout the day. We’re able to offer regular toilet breaks, feeding at set times, and plenty of companionship. Our days already include walks and outdoor time, which we can tailor to suit each dog’s needs—whether that’s shorter, frequent walks or longer, more active outings. Evenings are typically relaxed and home-based, giving dogs time to settle and feel part of the family. Weekends are flexible and often involve outdoor activities like countryside walks or trips to the beach, so dogs in our care benefit from both structure during the week and enrichment at the weekend. We provide a safe, calm, and structured environment, drawing on our experience as trained Guide Dog fosterers. We follow each dog’s individual routine closely, including feeding, exercise, rest, and any specific training or behavioural guidance provided by owners. Our home is set up with dogs in mind, including a woodland garden for supervised outdoor time and easy access to quiet rural walks. Dogs are never left unattended for long periods, and we ensure they have a comfortable space to relax and feel at ease. We are confident handling dogs with different temperaments and needs, and always use positive, consistent reinforcement. We’re also mindful of safety around children—our two are experienced, calm, and understand how to behave respectfully around dogs. If caring for pets in an owner’s home, we aim to maintain their usual routine as closely as possible to minimise stress, while keeping owners updated with regular communication and photos for peace of mind.

About: I am a graduate with a degree in Wildlife Conservation, and have recently relocated to South Devon from Kent. I adore animals and have completed many volunteer placements in animal rescue and rehabilitation. I have been working with the Environment Agency for the past year, and am now beginning a new role as an Assistant Ecologist. I would love to meet all your pets while I’m down here. I have had pet cats my entire life and have looked after many other dogs through Rover, BorrowmyDoggy and personal relationships. I currently work Monday-Friday until approximately 5pm, so would be more than happy to offer evenings and/or weekend walks. I am definitely flexible and happy to offer early morning walks if that is what your pet needs. Unfortunately, I cannot look after dogs in my own home as I have a cat and she will not like that! However, I will go to extra lengths to ensure your fur baby feels comfortable, safe and happy whilst I am in your home or out for a walk. I will send you photo updates throughout my care time to make you as the owner, also feel comfortable and happy that your pet is being well taken care of.

About: I’ve had cats for most of my life, so I understand that every cat has their own personality, routine, and way of feeling comfortable. I also worked in a veterinary practice for 5 years, which gave me experience caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m confident around nervous cats, senior cats, and pets that may need medication or extra patience and reassurance. I understand how important it is for owners to feel their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away, so I always aim to provide calm, reliable care along with regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.

About: I've taken care of cats since I was 10 years old, which was when I got introduced to my first pet. I am a massive animal lover and always want the best for your pets. I've been looking after cats for a long time so I am aware of different behaviors and expressions cats may make in order to get their needs met. I am energetic, passionate and a friendly person who wants to make you feel as comfortable and content as can be when you're away. I've also done a lot of voluntary work at rescue centres which has really enabled me to get to know different breeds of cat 🐈. I really enjoy spending time with animals so volunteering in animal centres is something I aim to do on a monthly basis. I've had personal and professional experiences looking after cats so I hope that you'd feel completely at ease leaving your cat in my care.

About: I’ve had a lot of hands-on experience with cats from an early age, growing up in a home with 12 cats. This gave me a strong understanding of different personalities — from confident and affectionate to more independent or shy cats. I’ve also cared for cats for friends and family, as well as providing drop-in visits, so I’m experienced in maintaining routines, feeding, cleaning litter trays, and making sure each cat feels comfortable while their owner is away. I understand that cats can be very particular about their space and routine, so I always take a calm and patient approach — allowing them to come to me in their own time. Whether your cat loves attention or prefers their own space, I’ll make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

Mia was fantastic with Ruby. Ruby seemed to be right at home the moment she arrived! I was sent photos and messages during the day so I was assured she was fine as this is our first time leaving her with someone. Mia was also very understanding and patient about our changing plans. I will definitely be trusting Mia again to look after Ruby for us.

About: Ive always had an affinity with animals. I had cats growing up and have been a dog owner for the last 7 years. Before then i used to walk dogs in my local area. Very affectionate towards animals and will give them what they need whether that is walks, cuddles or a quiet place to relax. We have an enclosed garden where animals can safely play. I work from home and am my own boss so I have plenty of time to look after and play with your dog. I have my own medium sized dog who gets on with all dogs and is happy and calm. I have a fully enclosed garden and space to play, sniff and explore. The dogs can come in and out as they please and there are places to chill and relax. Dogs are welcome on the sofa.

About: We are a family of 4. We have 2 young children and we all love animals, especially dogs. I grew up with a jack russel & a yorkie when i was younger. We then rescued a dog who was half german shepherd/ half huskie. My children are ages 2 and 4 and would love to have a pet dog in the house so i think dog sitting would be great for us as a family. We are always outside and going on walks and would be great to have a dog along side us. My partner also grew up with dogs his whole life. He recently lost his family dog who was a jack russell named eddie. We love going to haldon forest, teinmouth, stover & decoy during the week. I am currently not working so i have lots of time to play and walk your dog. I love being outdoors, going to the beach or to the moors. I am happy for your dog to sit with me on my sofa for cuddles. My children love dogs so your dog would need to be ok with small children I have a fenced garden so they cannot escape. They will have free rein being indoors in the house or in the garden. My back door is always open for them to explore freely.

About: Hi, I'm Vikki, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. Caring for pets isn't just something I do—it's something I genuinely love and have been passionate about for as long as I can remember. I share my home with my partner, my mum and my furbabies. I've always had a soft spot for rescue aniamls and some of my most rewarding experiences have come from being lucky to have given them a second chance of a loving secure and happy home. My experience isn't limited to dogs – I've also owned rescue cats and rabbits giving me a good understanding of the care and attention different animals require. I am an RSPCA volunteer and qualified dog groomer and am committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate loving care, Whether it's dog walking, pet sitting, or providing companionship while you're away, you can have peace of mind knowing your pets will be treated as if they were my own. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I look forward to meeting your furry family member. I recently made the decision to step away from full-time work to focus on what I'm truly passionate about – caring for animals. This means I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets and provide them with the attention, companionship, and care they deserve. I'm available 7 days a week and can be flexible to suit your schedule and your pet's individual needs. Whether you need regular walks, daytime visits, overnight care, or help at short notice, I'll always do my best to accommodate you. As a car owner, I'm able to travel locally and can provide reliable transport when needed. Alongside pet sitting and dog grooming, I'm continuing to develop my knowledge and skills by studying animal welfare & training qualifications through online industry recognised certificated courses. Combined with my experience as an RSPCA volunteer and qualified dog groomer, this allows me to provide the highest standard of care for every pet I look after. I am committed to maintaining a safe environment at all times, following your pet’s routine closely and keeping you updated for complete peace of mind. I take the time to build trust with every pet, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection.

About: I have had animals since forever, I can’t imagine life without them. I have a lot of love, time and energy for any furry creature I meet! We live in a gorgeous village in the countryside and can offer your pets beautiful walks with lovely surroundings and cuddles by the fire in our cottage. My partner and I are home 24/7, as well as our malinois/husky Otto, who is desperate to make new friends! We take him to a large park near our house for at least 1hr a day, and often go to the beach, river or forest on the weekends for a long walk and of course a game of fetch! Our house is very dog/puppy safe with a good sized secure garden, furniture that is animal friendly and set up for cuddles. We have a car and easy access to local parks, rivers and lovely walks around the village.

About: I’m Jade, I’m 30 and I have been fortunate to be surrounded by dogs since the age of 8. I am a registered mental health nurse, married, and own a beautiful Beagle of my own. I have always loved to be around dogs and have grown up in a family in which have always had a family dog. Myself and my Husband welcomed our boy Hugo into our lives in Jan 2020 and he changed our life for the better. I have also been taking care of different dogs for family and close friends on an adhoc basis for over 4 years and I now wish to expand that to the rover community. My Husband Jordan also works within Mental Health services. We share the same passion for dogs and our Rover journey is a team effort with both of us involved in the care of any dogs boarding with us to enable us to give the best home to home experience possible. Every dog that comes to our house is treated as if they were my own and I’ll always try and do meet and greets prior to bookings to ensure a good fit and to ensure the owner has confidence in leaving their dog with me. I’m currently working full time hours, Monday to Friday 9-5. Evenings are spent walking Hugo and weekends always revolve around what and where we will be walking Hugo too! My Husband works from home Monday to Friday 9-5 so he will always be at home so no dog will ever be alone or unaccompanied. We own a detached house with a fully secure garden with fencing at approx 6ft tall all around. Pets are encouraged to make our home feel like their home, to make sure they are comfortable and have the best stay possible. I will happily cater to each individuals dogs need. I have crates available to use for puppies or dogs that prefer to be in a crate.

About: Growing up my family has always had dogs and these have all been of varying breeds and sizes. When I moved out of my family home my partner and I decided to get a golden retriever, Harley, so any dogs coming to stay will need to be comfortable around him. Harley is very welcoming to any guests and is used to spending time with small, medium and large dogs so will be good company for your pet. I have a flexible job that enables me to work from home. It is a very sedentary job so I like to go on walks and be outside in my breaks and free time. We live in kingsteignton with an enclosed garden and a gate that opens up onto a park so ideal for the dogs. (Both the garden and park are in the pictures). This means we have several walks on our doorstep but we also like to drive to some. We love going on long walks with Harley and we like to keep the routes varied so we never really do the same walk two days in a row. We have no children and Harley is our only pet.

About: About me: I've always had some sort of pet since I can remember (dogs, small animals, fish, reptiles). I grew up with Boxer's, so they hold a special place in my heart. But I love all dogs (like you should!) and have looked after a range of different breeds and sizes. We've had dogs from puppies into their older years, so I know how their needs change as they get older. I currently look after the family cocker spaniel most days, she's a good little companion but can't walk as far as she use to due to her arthritis. Extras: Studied: Animal biology (Welfare, behaviour, diets...) Worked in a kennels, looked after lots of different breeds, temperaments, ages, needs. Schedule: I currently have some free time and enjoy walking. I have plenty of time, and already look after a few dogs from time to time, so thought I could help out and look after a few more. Drop-In's: In the past I normally check on them make sure they're okay, let them out for toilet break, fresh water, snacks or meal and spend some time with them. When I leave, I follow there normal routine, make sure they're safe and relaxed again.

About: My story 🐾 I’ve always loved animals! I grew up with rabbits and in 2022 I spent time in Italy caring for 3 dogs, 4 cats, and a rescue bunny while helping on a house renovation. Later that year, my partner and I opened a Rover profile and cared for lots of wonderful pets. After some travelling, we’ve now settled in Devon with our 1-year-old dog, Alby 🐾. My partner works full time, and I’m reopening the pet business alongside my part-time work. Animal Care 🐾 I am available for day or night pet sitting, walking, and drop ins, and we are considering boarding in the future too. I can care for your pup, cat or small animal. I am happy to arrange a free meet and greet before walks and sits. I’m very active and enjoy walking and exploring so will enjoy taking your pup for walks or keeping your cats healthy and active. However, if you need me to be purely at the house then that is fine too. As an owner you can tell me how you would like your pet to be looked after, and I will look after them as such. So, if you have a super strict schedule for them that’s fine or if you’re really laid back, that’s fine too! I may bring my dog Alby on some walks too. Please let me know if you would prefer him not to attend. He is such a loving boy and has been attending daycare whilst we have been working full time – so he is used to a variety of other breeds and temperaments. He will be a great pal for your dog! I have administered medication for pets before and with clear instructions would have no quarrels with taking on that extra responsibility. Prior to a sit, please let me know your vet details, backup contact, feeding & walking schedule, or if they require any medication. I know how important it is to feel your pets are safe, happy and well cared for when you’re away. 🐾Whether it’s a fun walk, a cosy overnight stay, or keeping their usual routine. I have cared for dogs of different sizes, ages and temperaments and will tailor each booking as such. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout. Availability 🐾 I will be working part-time hours at my regular job so if my Rover profile is showing some unavailability please feel free to message me if you need care during these hours and I will see what I can arrange.

Bovey Tracey, TQ13

About: We are a dog walking and pet sitting business inspired by our two rescue dogs, Chase and Lacey — which is where the name Walkies with Chase and Lacey comes from 🐾 We specialise in 1-to-1 dog walks, perfect for nervous, reactive, or more sensitive dogs, while also offering small group walks for sociable pups. Through my experience owning rescue dogs, I understand that every dog is different. Some are confident and energetic, while others need patience, reassurance, and time to build trust — and I always work at each dog’s pace. I have hands-on experience with nervous and sensitive dogs. One of my own dogs, Chase, was extremely anxious around strangers when I first adopted him and avoided all contact. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I’ve helped him grow into a much more relaxed and social dog. Because of this, I’m very confident in reading body language and recognising when a dog may feel overwhelmed. I always prioritise making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and secure in my care. All services are tailored to suit your dog’s individual needs — whether that’s calm walks, playtime, or companionship while you’re away. Every dog is treated as if they were my own. I offer flexible availability throughout the week, with a focus on daytime walks and visits. Monday & Tuesday: Available mornings and early afternoons (before 3pm) Wednesday – Friday: Full availability for walks, visits, and pet sitting Saturday: Available during the day (before 5pm) Sunday: Available in the morning (before 11:30am) I’m also happy to offer pet sitting and overnight stays, depending on your dog or cat’s needs — feel free to message to discuss specific times. In a pet owner’s home, I aim to keep everything as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, as I know how important familiarity is — especially for nervous or sensitive pets. I make sure they get plenty of attention, enrichment, and companionship, while also respecting their space if they prefer a calmer approach. For dog walks, I offer both 1-to-1 and small group walks, depending on what suits your dog best. I pay close attention to body language and behaviour to ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable, and I always walk at their pace. These walks can include some enrichment games, ball throwing or just a good sniff in the bushes. If your dog loves something I’ll be sure to include it in our walk. For cats and smaller pets, I provide calm, gentle care — including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, and interaction based on their personality, whether that’s playtime or simply quiet company. I also keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and videos for peace of mind. If caring for pets in my own home (if applicable), I provide a safe, clean, and secure environment with plenty of attention, structure, and comfort, treating them as part of the family while they’re with me. I have a walled off garden and have two resident friendly dogs. There are multiple crates on site if your dog ever needs some me time. There are multiple areas to lounge including the sofa and dog beds. Due to warmer weather there is also a dog paddling pool in the garden

About: I love looking after animals! I appreciate the uniqueness of each pet and enjoy getting to know them. I lived with a friend who had a cat for many years and cared for him since he was a kitten. I‘ve also looked after cats and dogs many times for friends while they were away as well as through Rover. I’m currently working part-time and mostly work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I don’t have a car so will need to be within walking distance. I can’t care for pets in my home at the moment. But I am able to visit or stay at your home if that works.
