“Highly recommend Lucy. Lovely family home. My very excitable dog was the most chilled out I've seen her on collection. Well looked after. Regular updates. Will use again. Thanks so much lucy.”

“Abi is an excellent dog sitter. Both of our dogs adore her! They were so excited when she arrived to look after them for the weekend, it was wonderful to see. I had no concerns leaving them in her care, and revived regular pictures and updates; they had a fabulous time and I'm sure Abi will become a regular in their lives whenever we are away.”

“I was worried about Winston going away as he rarely goes anywhere. Mark and Fee allowed us to visit first and made me feel far more relaxed and reassured. Winston was more than happy to stay with them and calm and happy when we picked him up. They updated me to let me know he was ok. Highly recommended, thanks Mark”

“Having already met Liza and Mike for a walk and visited their house, Liza had Henry for the first time last weekend and he clearly had a great time! He went on some lovely walks and was very well looked after. Liza kept us supplied with photos which was very reassuring. All Henry's 'stuff' was packed and ready for collection and he was completely at home with Liza and her family. We have already booked Liza again and plan to use Liza as our main dog carer for future holidays.”

“Thank you for looking after Ziggy. Ziggy was very relaxed and settled during his day with you and he went back to say goodbye which shows he enjoyed his stay! We would be very happy to recommend Shaun who is considerate, easy going and very comfortable looking after dogs.”

“Molly and her partner were fantastic at looking after Kanan for his short stay. He settled right in and took to them straight away and had his fill of cuddles and play. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again!”

“Our pup settled really well with Michelle. He’s an active dog and Michelle took him out twice a day in a variety of settings that suited his needs. We got lots of lovely videos and pictures plus updates. Michelle also let us visit before our pup’s stay so we were confident we had found a really warm loving home for him. Cannot fault anything and will definitely use again.”

“This was Bobbies second stay with Stacey, also her longest stay with anyone. As soon as we dropped Bobbie off she went to Stacey, it was so reassuring to see that your dog is very comfortable with someone other than family. Once again Stacey took amazing care of Bobbie, we received lovely photos & videos throughout her stay to reassure us. You could see that Bobbie had settled well & was having a wonderful time. Not only did Stacey & her family treat Bobbie like their own dog, but they also even bought her a gift of some lovely toys for her to take home, so kind and completely unexpected. We will definitely be booking with Stacey and her family again; we are completely reassured that Bobbie has a lovely time while away & is as well cared for as we could wish for. We cannot recommend Stacey highly enough - Thank you”

“Sarah was wonderful with our working Maisie. We had regular updates on where they on walks through out our time away. Maisie was well cared for whilst we were away and hope Sarah will look after Maisie agin. Most importantly Sarah turned up when she said she would and was happy for Maisie to sleep on the bed!”

About: Hi, I'm Gemma! I'm 40 and a lifelong dog lover. I've grown up with dogs and have regularly looked after friends' dogs over the years, so I'm now excited to offer a home-from-home service to other dog owners. I have a lovely Labrador called Ginny, who is almost 10 years old. She's extremely friendly, calm and absolutely loves meeting other dogs. She's very well trained, non-aggressive and easy-going...although she's a also a typical lab who's definitely easily won over with a bit of food and attention! I live with my partner, Joe, in a comfortable, dog-friendly home where visiting dogs can relax and feel part of the family. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and will sleep downstairs, so they can settle into a familiar and relaxed routine. We have a fully secure back garden and we're in a fantastic location for dog walks. There's an open field and woodland area directly opposite our home, with beaches and a canal also within walking distance as well as plenty of other wooded areas to explore. I also have a secure car suitable for transporting dogs, so I'm happy to take dogs out for walks or adventures further afield when appropriate. I'm happy to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, provided they are house-trained and not destructive or prone to chewing. I only take a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention and make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I'm at home all day from Friday through Sunday. During the week I work during school hours, so my weekday availability is more limited. My aim is to give your dog a safe, relaxed and loving home while you're away with plenty of attention, cuddles, lovely walks and, of course, the occasional treat! I'd always be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so we can make sure your dog and Ginny are a good match. During the week I work during school hours, so my availability is more limited during the daytime. I’m happy to work around each dog’s usual routine as much as possible, including their normal feeding, exercise and rest times. I’m also able to provide a calm, relaxed home environment where dogs can settle into their own routine while they’re staying with me. Your dog’s safety and happiness are really important to me. “Willow had a great stay with Michelle overnight whilst we were at Eden. I met Michelle for a virtual meet and greet before booking and knew immediately that Willow would be in great hands. We came back to a very happy doggy, and it was clear she’d been really well looked after and had a lovely stay. I’d definitely recommend Michelle and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again next time we're in the area 😊”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Dobwalls
We were so grateful to find Tracie when we needed local help while in Cornwall for work. Our dog clearly had a wonderful time with her, and we really appreciated all the updates throughout. It was clear that our dog enjoyed all the fun and experiences she had during her stay. River (Tracie's dog) is such a lovely dog and we loved seeing them play and it was so nice for our dog to have a furry companion for a few days. Tracie’s communication was super clear, and we felt completely at ease knowing Annie was in such good hands. Thank you so much, Tracie! x

Being a first time leaving a pet with anyone and a puppy which can be quite lively was a bit apprehensive, but had a visit before hand with Tracie and got on well, my pup and her dog bonded well, so left my pup with Tracie to look after days later for a few days, she kept me updated via text on how he was doing and also received some photos of him, found Tracie friendly and accommodating and would recommend if looking for a place to accommodate your pet,

I can’t recommend Tracie and Sarah enough. They took great care of our boxer, Neo, whilst we were away. Communication was excellent throughout, they responded to messages straightaway and sent regular photos and updates. We felt totally confident that we had left our dog in good hands and we would definitely leave Neo with them in the future ☺️

Amy and her family looked after both our boys whilst my husband and I got married. Not only did they give them outstanding care, they helped us by taking them to the venue so they boys could be with us for the ceremony and photos before taking them away again for the night whilst the frown ups celebrated. Thank you so much, you looked after Harley and Alfie so well - they were clearly very happy with you and you helped them relax after an excitable afternoon. When we next holiday your way, we will be sure to employ your services again. Thank you, Georgina and Chris, Harley and Alfie
