“We had previously hired Corben for a day time dog sit and did not hesitate to contact him again when we then needed an overnight stay with our dog. Corben was very flexible with the timings and very attentive to our needs to allow us to make the most of our night away. Corben was great with our dog and provided regular communication on how she was getting on. I can't recommend Corben enough. Knowing our dog was safe and happy allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our event without worry. We will definitely be booking Corben again for any of our dog sitting needs.”

“*Worth more than a 5* review* I can’t recommend Jasmin and Callum enough - such a lovely couple and brilliant with my dogs. My first time using a dog sitting service and I felt very comfortable leaving them in such capable hands. I really appreciated the updates and photos too. Thank you both”

“Cara was fabulous! We met a couple of weeks earlier so that she could meet the dogs and see how they behaved on a walk. She communicated with me whilst I was away and sent photos. I came back to 2 very happy dogs and the bedding had even been washed! Thoroughly recommend!”

“Kyal responded very promptly and was able to house sit for us at short notice. He is professional, polite and accommodating. Kyal sent pictures and updates whilst we were away. Our dog and cats were very well looked after and we will certainly get in touch with Kyal again if we need house sitting in future!”

About: I live in beautiful Cornwall and work as a Therapist and Coach online on a part-time basis which means I have lots of availability to travel and work from other locations. I have loved animals from a young age, I have had a rabbit, hamster and cat and would love to have a dog one day when I am ready to live a less nomadic lifestyle. I have been house/pet/plant/garden sitting for friends and friends of friends for many years. I love spending time in nature, so taking your dog for walks once, twice, three times a day is not a problem for me. Working from home means I have lots of flexibility to travel and keep to your dog’s routine with walks and feeding. I can pet sit for a day, a week, or longer if need be…all I need is access to good Wifi. I work part-time online, so I have lots of availability to care for your pets and take dogs on regular walks, keeping their daily routine in place. I can look after your pets from your own home, I have a camper van, so can sleep in my van on your drive, or I can sleep in your home if that is you and your pets preference. I love all animals, so I will be sure to give your pet lots of love and affection.
About: Hullo! Sophie here, I'm 44 and currently based in Trewoon, near St Austell, and i work in Truro. I'm really enjoying all these experiences on Rover and THS, and I've fair experience elsewhere, just some of which is listed below: - THS pet- and house-sitter, 2025 - to date - I am building up my experience here, looking after dogs, cats and fish so far. In terms of special needs/breed considerations I have cared for senile cats, a large rescue dog reactive to fireworks, a retired racing greyhound, a miniature Dachshund, a large Lab/Staffie mix and a large German Shepherd (35kg). These are just the most recent dogs I have cared for. - Volunteer at Animal Army, Thailand, 2024 (approx. 40 dogs) - administered oral and topical medications to injured and sometimes traumatised dogs, administered ear powders, washed dogs, cared for elderly dogs, blind dogs and physically disabled dogs/amputees including putting dogs into 'wheelchairs' and walking locally. I would also clean kennels, wash and disinfect bowls and play with boisterous puppies. There were also four cats who I played with; - Dog-boarder and walker for Romanian rescue mixed breed ~2019; she suffered from motion sickness; - Dog-walker for the Cinnamon Trust ~ 2019; walked dogs for the homebound; - Dog-walker for 'doggy day care' in London ~2011-2012; walked dogs in Hyde Park on my lunchbreak. One terrier was muzzled due to aggressive tendencies towards other dogs but luckily I never had any issues with him, other than he could never decide where to do his pees n poos!; - Dog boarder for terrier and mixed breed medium size ~2011-2012; occasional/for friends; - Growing up; horse-grooming/mucking out at local stable, we kept a dozen hens in the 80s, family Labradors, cats, one hamster.....! - Informal; occasional house-sitting only (ie, for friends with no pets). I have recently been DBS-checked (can provide my DBS certificate upon request) and have full driver's licence although I am currently without wheels. Looking for wheels though! Pet care will obviously consist of walks, plays, cuddles or just quiet time if your pet prefers. I'm sure you'll tell me any special requirements so that our sit-time is well-spent and your pets are kept happy. I attend my office in Truro on different days each week and I normally live in Trewoon. My availability varies depending on the day of the week and the service you require so it's always worth enquiring. I have a smoke-free, child-free, detached cottage with secure six-foot fenced rear garden. North of my property are traffic-free rural walks surrounding the Gover Valley. Feel free to direct me to your pet's favourite toys or an old shirt of yours or similar in case they find it comforting in your absence. I will assume an 'on leash' policy unless you specify otherwise. Will remove any choking hazards or non-edibles. I try to tread lightly during pet sits, behave with humility and respect, continue my learning journey, and disrupt any routine as little as possible. Please ensure any leads or harnesses are fit for purpose. If you're dropping off your pet with me please provide at least their food, feeding schedule and poo bags.
About: Born into a veterinary household, I grew up caring for every type of animal — from hamsters and tortoises to lambs, cats and dogs. As an adult, I’ve always shared my home with dogs, from tiny Shih Tzu puppies to giant Newfoundlands. This lifelong experience has given me a natural instinct for understanding what every dog needs to feel safe and loved. At the points of life where Iv been able to live with animals such a university or housing restrictions I have volunteered at either a dog walking charity or a small grooming business. Currently taking a break from cardiac Nursing, as youngest child is in their first year of school. Once school run is done we will either head to Trevaunance Cove, Portreath beach, Idless woods. Whichever you your pup would prefer. Then home for a snack & snooze, while I complete chores Then again after school pick up have a fun run down Coosebean woods/ cycle track just at the back of my home. I have a large garden that has some holes in the hedge-line, however your dog will be supervised while outside. No toxic plants. Always have access to fresh water, inside and outside
“Danielle was brilliant looking after Bruni, who is a very nervous rescue. She was so patient with her and was able to come round a few times beforehand to get to know Bruni. Could not recommend Danielle more.”

“Our dogs are not easy ones. They are adopted from the street, so they can't be socialised as other dogs. Chloe was very patient, spent a lot of time in advance preparing for her future sitting with dogs. Our youngest dog might become aggressive with strangers, so it was really challenging to gain her trust. Chloe had to sit with our 2 dogs and a cat. Another difficulty was that dogs were not friendly with our cat, so you need to control the whole company all the time and separate them. You can see that we are not easy clients, but Chloe gained trust and love of the whole pet company and managed sitting very well. This made my holiday time possible, I really appreciate Chloe's help. Also the house was left even cleaner than we left it. Thanks to Chloe!”

“The boys loved Olly! For 4 days they received an incredible level of care and attention I thought only I could show them. They were happy and healthy! Olly sent regular updates and photos which put my mind at rest. Olly also took great care of our home. Finding Olly has reduced my anxiety associated with leaving the boys whilst we’re away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Olly again!”

“We would definitely recommend Art! He is a lovely friendly guy and really put me at ease about leaving our puppy for the first time. Wilbur is at the full on and chewy stage and Art coped with it all super well, playing with him in the house and garden until he tired himself out. We came back from an evening out and puppy was calm and happy. Very impressed.”

About: My whole life I’ve been surrounded by dogs, I even grew up with Irish wolfhounds, so know how to handle the larger breeds. I’m very reliable and have walked dogs for a long time, and due to my love for animals, I’ll enjoy walking your dog just as much as they will. Im currently working a part time job so have plenty of free time to walk and play with your pups! I would love to pursue dog walking as a full time job and therefore my availability is very flexible. I have a large, fenced, secure garden and will keep you dogs entertained in their favourite way. Whether that be playing fetch or cuddling up with tummy scratches!!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care, patience, and individual attention I give every pet. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, having been raised with Gordon Setters, and as an adult I’ve always owned Dachshunds, so caring for dogs is second nature to me. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I have experience with puppies, including basic training, toilet routines, and socialisation, as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler approach, medication, and slower-paced walks. Having owned Dachshunds, I’m especially mindful of handling, back care, and appropriate exercise. I’m confident following detailed care instructions and maintaining established routines. I also keep owners regularly updated with messages and photos so they can feel completely at ease while their pets are in my care. I’m calm, reliable, and attentive, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My aim is always to provide a safe, happy, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I am a single mum who works part time and from home, and dog walks and beach strolls are a part of my day so your pooch will have plenty of love and attention. I have a small fenced in garden for the dogs to play and Walter is happy to keep your dog company along with my 10 year old who is obsessed with all dogs.
“Poppy is great with Fender and has been so good at communication. It’s my first time using Rover and she has made sure she knows everything about Fender she needs to in order for him to be looked after safely and have fun!”

“Fantastic!! My 2 dogs took to her straight away, she gave them lots of cuddles, attention and enrichment in the garden. She also left the house clean, tidy and secure. I will definitely rebook!”

“Lerryn stepped in at short notice to look after our beagle for a two week holiday. She sent regular updates and photos of our boy which reassured us he was happy and well looked after. He never gave us the guilt treatment when we returned, he must have been very happy. Would definitely rebook !”

About: Hello, I’m Beth 😊 I’m 27, and I’m originally from Oxford, but I spent 4+ years living in Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand. Last year, I did Yoga Teacher Training in India, before moving back to England for the foreseeable future. I started pet sitting while living abroad, and then I was pet sitting in London once I returned to England. I’ve loved it! I’ve pet sitted Mini Foxies and Dachunds to American Bulldogs, and I’ve owned Spaniels all of my life (plus my little tortoise, Totty). I am also a big cat person! I’ve pet sitted puppies and elderly animals (including an 18 year old cat), so I have experience with a range of animal age groups. I’m a passionate hiker and reader, and I love to keep a clean and wholesome living space. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you’d like to video call. Thank you! I work as a seasonally as a tree planter, and then I pet sit for other parts of the year, so I can give your pets all of the time and attention that they need. I wake up early, and I love to go out first thing, so I enjoy taking pets out for morning walks. I tend to have more relaxed evenings, mostly reading, so I can give your pets plenty of down time and attention in the evenings.
