“As always Ree looked after Bozie as if he is her own cat. We had to stay away unexpectedly due to a family emergency and Ree was so helpful in travelling to Pets at Home to get supplies etc. Ree sent updates and photos/video morning and evening of our precious boy. We would highly recommend Ree. ”
“Another great couple of days of Kyal looking after Finn in our home so we could attend our son’s wedding. Kyal is so good with him, he can be very needy and a tad anxious but Kyal really takes the time to get to know him and work at his pace. Lovely walks and swims in the river, all recorded so that we can see where they’ve been and a trip to the beach too. Highly recommend Kyal, we had absolutely no worries about Finn the entire time we were away and our home was clean and tidy on return. Will definitely book with Kyal again. Thanks Kyal! 🤗”

“Amy is lovely. She followed any instructions, kept our two safe and in company overnight and kept us updated, including with photos and videos. We explained that our youngest pooch is a young nervous rescue - Amy was mindful of this, and respected his boundaries and started working on building trust with him. Amy has a lovely, sweet and calm demeanour. We look forward to welcoming her into our home to look after our fur babies again. Thank you ☺️”
“*Worth more than a 5* review* I can’t recommend Jasmin and Callum enough - such a lovely couple and brilliant with my dogs. My first time using a dog sitting service and I felt very comfortable leaving them in such capable hands. I really appreciated the updates and photos too. Thank you both”

“Corben looked after our cockapoo and our bungalow very well. We received messages and pictures most days and we would happily recommend Corben for anyone needing a dogsitter. Thank you Corben”

“Cara completed another sit for my crazy lot (3 dogs, a cat and some pond fish), which takes a lot of patience. She looks after all the animals extreme care, and caters to there needs. Cara always goes above and beyond, and this time came to our rescue when I stupidly forgot to leave a house key out for her to gain access, which I am so very grateful for. Our house is always left very clean and tidy, and the dogs enjoy her company, we highly recommend her. Thank you Cara for another great sit.”
About: I’m a patient and caring dog sitter who will make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, affection, and care. I know every dog is different, so I’ll always follow your routine and instructions closely. I am currently working part time (around 20 hours a week), so have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets! Monday morning or evening. Tuesday & Thursday afternoons or nightime. Friday & Saturday all day. I understand that each pet is different, so I would abide any rules, routines and instruction set by the owner. Tailoring my care to each individual animal, from energetic pups to laid back felines!

“Wow, we were so lucky to have found Ilona, she was the perfect person to look after our border collie, Ben. We rescued him recently and so he is quite needy and yet Ilona took everything in her stride and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. She knew exactly what Ben needed, especially in the crazy heatwave, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone to look after your dog(s). She responded very quickly to my booking request and was clear about timings and was so reliable and very trustworthy. She also kept us updated with photos and took him for walkies in the woods as it was shaded.”

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats but don't currently have my own! Pet sitting and walking will fill that gap as I have so much love to give. I have trained my own dogs in the past, from high five, to circle, to jumping through a hoop! I would love the opportunity to meet more dogs and cats and provide them with the care and love they deserve. I work remotely so I am flexible during the week to come and stay or walk. I work in hospitality one day on a weekend. I am health and safety conscious and will ensure your pet is secure, has regular bathroom breaks, plenty of food, water, shelter, walks, and love!
“Sophie responded to my request so quickly and came to my house to cat sit for the weekend at very short notice. I came home to a very happy cat. Marvin clearly liked Sophie the pictures and messages she sent were lovely and updated me throughout the weekend which was great, as I do worry about leaving Marvin he had a new night time routine and Sophie managed to get Marvin in at night which in itself I was worried about. I would absolutely love to recommend Sophie and will definitely myself be reaching out again.”

“The boys loved Olly! For 4 days they received an incredible level of care and attention I thought only I could show them. They were happy and healthy! Olly sent regular updates and photos which put my mind at rest. Olly also took great care of our home. Finding Olly has reduced my anxiety associated with leaving the boys whilst we’re away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Olly again!”

“Fantastic!! My 2 dogs took to her straight away, she gave them lots of cuddles, attention and enrichment in the garden. She also left the house clean, tidy and secure. I will definitely rebook!”

“We would definitely recommend Art! He is a lovely friendly guy and really put me at ease about leaving our puppy for the first time. Wilbur is at the full on and chewy stage and Art coped with it all super well, playing with him in the house and garden until he tired himself out. We came back from an evening out and puppy was calm and happy. Very impressed.”

About: Hi, I'm Bella. I have always loved dogs especially sight hounds and previously owned a whippet called Poppy. I enjoy nothing better than taking a dog for a long walk on the beach or through the woods, seeing them enjoying themselves and being sleepy and relaxed after a good run. I have previously looked after greyhounds, sausage dogs, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, an Irish Wolfhound cross, Frenchie, Labrador Siberian Husky’s, Cockapoos and Cavapoos and understand all dogs and breeds have different needs & requirements to feel happy, safe, secure and loved. I love getting to know their individual personalities and understand that pets are like members of the family and treat them as I would my own dog with love, care and affection when in my care. I am able to keep pets company all day ensuring they get plenty of walks, toilet breaks and are well fed. If dogs are nervous or uncomfortable around other dogs I ensure that they are cared for one individual dog at a time. I ensure dogs are on leads unless I have guidance from their owner that they have good recall and are happy for them to be take off lead only in safe places. I can offer in home care in peoples homes or my own which has a large garden.
About: Born into a veterinary household, I grew up caring for every type of animal — from hamsters and tortoises to lambs, cats and dogs. As an adult, I’ve always shared my home with dogs, from tiny Shih Tzu puppies to giant Newfoundlands. This lifelong experience has given me a natural instinct for understanding what every dog needs to feel safe and loved. At the points of life where Iv been able to live with animals such a university or housing restrictions I have volunteered at either a dog walking charity or a small grooming business. Currently taking a break from cardiac Nursing, as youngest child is in their first year of school. Once school run is done we will either head to Trevaunance Cove, Portreath beach, Idless woods. Whichever you your pup would prefer. Then home for a snack & snooze, while I complete chores Then again after school pick up have a fun run down Coosebean woods/ cycle track just at the back of my home. I have a large garden that has some holes in the hedge-line, however your dog will be supervised while outside. No toxic plants. Always have access to fresh water, inside and outside

Amy is lovely. She followed any instructions, kept our two safe and in company overnight and kept us updated, including with photos and videos. Amy has a lovely, sweet and calm demeanour. We look forward to welcoming her into our home to look after our fur babies again. Thank you ☺️
Danielle and Michael sat for our two yorkiepoos at short notice while we were on holiday in St Mawes. They made us feel instantly comfortable about leaving our babies with them. They were communicative throughout, sending lots of pictures and updates. Highly recommended and we will definitely be inviting them to sit again next time we're in the Truro area.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Cornwall walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cornwall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
