“One word - AMAZING! Kelly was fantastic - you could tell from the outset that her focus was on the dogs and that she would ensure they felt comfortable and loved. She persevered with our little rescue one to ensure that she felt loved and did go out for walks (even running initially as that was the only way to get her to walk). She cared for them over guy fawkes when they get really uptight with the fireworks and even extended her caring to looking after our Koi and listening to that inner voice telling her to test the water..... just as well, as the KH had dropped making the water acidic. We got frequent updates and photos, came back to two very happy and content pooches and an incredibly clean home. We have already booked two more stays and will be using her more. Thanks for allowing us to relax and enjoy our holiday Kelly, totally reassured that our precious girls were in the best of hands.”

“Lucy was an amazing sitter. Great communication so I never had a moments worry about our 3 cockers. So diligent- she was walking them in the very early morning so that they didn’t get too hot during the mini heat wave. We came home to 3 happy, relaxed dogs and a clean, tidy house. Couldn’t have asked for more. A lovely lady who is really easy to get on with, very capable in every respect and a diligent sitter.”

“I highly recommend Edita, she looked after our puppy for us this weekend and has done a fantastic job. She has been kind, loving and taken her out for some lovely walks. It means a lot to trust someone with your dog, but Edita made us feel comfortable about leaving our puppy with her and it was clear to us that she’s a dog person and spent lots of time doing nice things with her. Thank you so much ❤️”

“Kim was absolutely fantastic. Not least because one of our cats had a lot of medication that he needed to take than we had discussed because of a progression in his skin condition. The cats were well looked after and very happy on our return. She let us know when any medication needed to be ordered and the house was exactly as we left it.”

About: Hi! I have decades of experience with pet dogs and used to train border collies. We had guinea pigs, cats, chickens and fish too. I can't have a dog right now, so adore spending time with other people's. I don't do pack walks, so your pets get my undivided attention. I have CPD courses in: Animal Behaviour & Welfare (Uni of Edinburgh, 10 hrs) Chicken Behaviour & Welfare (Uni of Edinburgh, 9 hrs) Dog Emotion & Cognition (Dale University 22 hrs) I'm a former teacher and have an Enhanced DBS check certificate (2024), so you can rest assured that your home and pets are in trustworthy hands. I can often be very flexible about availability. I do need to use your wi-fi if I do house sits for you as I work from home on my laptop. You'll want to know that someone with access to your home is trustworthy. I have an enhanced DBS certificate (2024), and recent CPD in animal welfare. You know best what keeps your pets safe, so if you have an escape artist, if your cats need to be kept inside, or if your dog's recall is a little iffy, I'll make sure to look out for that. I understand that some dogs are reactive to environmental factors and can even be snappy to humans or other dogs. I have experience with dogs like this, but it's really important that you let me know if that's the case with your pooch. I can only manage it if I know beforehand. I know how important routine is for animals, so will do my best to stick to your usual ways of doing things.

About: I have been around dogs my entire life, I genuinely love dogs and prioritise their well-being. I care for their needs, ensuring they are happy and healthy. I have grown up with German Shepherds, I am used to walking, bathing and playing with them. My current dog is a beautiful miniature Australian Shepherd. I trained him with my father, he has a great temperament. Dogs are a gift, they spread joy and affection. I love interacting with my friends, families and strangers dogs. I hope to do it more through this app. I’m a teacher so during the holidays, I will have plenty of time to look after your furry friends! During school periods I will be able to look after your pups on weekends. I have a fenced garden, very secure and safe for your pups. I have a very friendly dog to keep your pup company. I live by lots of fields and great walking spots for your pups to explore. I have a crate if needed.

About: I have owned my own animals since I was a child, and grew up around all kinds of animals on a farm. I have worked professionally with horses, and as a dog groomer and walker. I currently have one dog of my own who spends 24/7 with me, and we regularly train and compete in agility. I have owned my own dogs from beginning to end of life so I’m experienced in both puppy and senior care, and everything in between. I have an enhanced DBS certificate, and I am fully insured as both a dog walker and pet sitter. I also have an up to date accredited canine first aid certificate. I work part time from home, with flexible hours, and the rest of the time revolves around my dog! So I can easily tailor your requirements to suit you and your pets. I have a small yorkiepoo of my own, who is 18 months old. She’s a lovely, friendly little dog but she does get a bit overwhelmed by big dogs, so I can only accept small-medium ones to care for. I have a large crate if necessary…although that’s in the shed at the moment as my dog is on the sofa or bed with me! Whatever your dog’s routine is, I can follow it. If they’re used to sleeping in bed with a human, or in the same room, I can accommodate that. If it’s not belting it down with rain, I go walking for at least an hour per day, often in the woods at Stourhead or similar nearby spot. If it is raining then we still go out, but for shorter walks. I have a large lawn which dogs can use. I do have 2 cats (they are used to my dog and don’t seem bothered by other dogs coming over), but if your dog is a prolific cat botherer I may not be the sitter for you.

“We were looking for a home from home setting for our Labrador Ozzy whilst away on a weeks holiday and thats exactly what we found. Vanessa was friendly, professional and caring and we could immediately see that Ozzy was going to be well looked after. We had regular video and picture updates throughout his stay showing what a great time he was having on his walks in the countryside. We wouldn't hesitate in leaving Ozzy with Vannessa again and would highly recommended her doggy care services!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life — I’ve had many of my own over the years and absolutely adore them. Two years ago, we left Edinburgh and set off on an incredible road trip around the world, dog sitting in different countries. Along the way, I met some amazing people and formed a special bond with every dog I cared for. A year ago, we settled here, and I’ve found myself really missing the daily joy of being around dogs — which is why I’ve decided to offer dog walking too. I have experience with all types of dogs, from playful puppies to wise old souls, and every personality in between. Your dog will be treated with love, patience, and care — as if they were my own. I work from home running my own business, which means I have a flexible schedule and can often work around your dog’s routine. Whether you need regular daily walks, the occasional outing, or last-minute help, I’ll do my best to accommodate. I’m available for morning, midday, and afternoon walks throughout the week — just drop me a message and we’ll find a time that works! I’m happy to come to your home to walk, feed, or simply spend quality time with your dog. Whether you’re out for the day, working long hours, or just need an extra pair of hands (and heart), I’m here to provide loving, reliable support. I understand how important it is for your dog to feel safe and relaxed in their own environment, so I’ll make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and given plenty of attention. Whether it’s a quick walk, mealtime help, or some calm company while you’re away, I’ll treat your dog as if they were part of my own family.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs but due to travelling a lot, it’s not the right time to get one of our own just yet, but I love to spend time with my parents elderly German Shepherd and he comes to stay with me whenever they’re away. As I’m not in a place to get a dog of my own at the moment, I’ve joined Rover to fill the gap and I can provide a fun and loving time for your dogs during house sits, boarding or walks. Please feel free to message me to discuss any needs, requirements or requests that you may have. I work full time but a large portion of time is spent working from home so I can usually fit in walks before and after work, or on my lunch break. I can be available to sit most days too, depending on the individual needs of each dog which we can discuss in advance. For sits in my home or yours, I can tailor my service to you and your dogs individual needs. For sits in my home, I have a fenced garden, plenty of green space nearby and a clean, open plan home.

About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals of all kinds — dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and everything in between. From a young age, caring for animals was just part of everyday life, and I’ve carried that love and experience with me ever since. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every dog and cat like they’re my own. I understand how important your furry family members are — and I’m here to give them the love, attention, and care they need. I’m available all evenings of the week and weekend. Mornings Wednesday - Sunday. Lunch times Wednesday - Sunday. If booked in advance I could be available for more. I live in a comfortable 2-bedroom house where your dog or cat will have full access to relax, explore, and feel safe. Whether they love to snuggle on the couch, nap in a sunny spot, or follow their usual routine, I’ll make sure they’re cared for just like they are at home. Although my garden is currently under renovation, I’m lucky to be surrounded by beautiful countryside walks, open fields, and peaceful woodland — perfect for dogs who love to stretch their legs and explore nature!
