“Lucy was excellent. It was the first time I’ve left Albie with anyone as he’s only just 3 months old. Lucy made me feel really comfortable and I will definitely be using her again. Thank you for making it so easy Lucy! X”

“Lizzie was the best, made Rio feel comfortable and updated me as it was my first time leaving Rio alone. Also offered to meet the day before to make sure Rio would be ok. Thanks again Lizzie, highly recommend if you’re in the area.”

About: Since my childhood I always had pets at home, especially dogs and sometimes cats. They are giving me lots of joy and caring for them is just pure joy for me. Currently I have a very friendly and calm golden doodle who gets on very well with other dogs. I look after one or two dogs at the time. I’m currently flexible with my time for boarding. I can look after dogs during the week and weekends. I’m available most of the time with the exception of my own holidays. I have a fenced and spacious garden and a pet friendly home. My house is located close to the countryside where I can provide long or short walks for your pet. I have plenty of pet toys for interactive play.

“I highly recommend Mark for daycare. Mark is brilliant, very well organised and responsive and made time to meet with us before the booking! Beau was instantly comfortable with Mark and clearly had a brilliant time. I received lots of pictures and updates throughout the day which was really appreciated and I have already booked in for next time. Thanks again Mark, Beau is looking forward to seeing you all soon!”

About: I treat every pet like part of the family—whether that means long walks, cuddles on the sofa, or keeping to their exact routine for comfort and consistency. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and genuine love for animals of all ages and temperaments. I have hands-on experience with both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m confident handling toilet training, basic commands, and administering medication when needed. I also understand how important it is to keep owners updated, so I always send regular photos and updates for peace of mind. Your pet’s happiness and safety are always my top priorities! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine as I work from home, so I’m around all day to give your pet the attention, love, and care they deserve. I can easily stick to their usual schedule—whether that’s morning walks, playtime, feeding, or just some relaxed company throughout the day. We also have our own dog, Bailey, a super friendly Cavachon who loves making new doggy friends! She’s gentle, well-socialised, and always happy to have a playmate around. Your dog will feel right at home here with lots of company, cuddles, and fun. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I make sure their usual routine is followed as closely as possible—whether it’s specific feeding times, walk schedules, or favourite toys and habits—to help them feel safe, settled, and comfortable. I work from home full-time, so your dog will have company throughout the day and never be left alone for long. Our home is calm, welcoming, and dog-friendly, with a secure garden for safe outdoor play. We also have our own dog, Bailey—a friendly and gentle Cavachon who loves meeting new dogs and makes a great companion for visiting pups. Whether your dog enjoys playtime or prefers quiet snuggles, I’ll make sure they get the attention, care, and love they need while you’re away.

“Steve and Victoria were excellent hosts for my lively terrier. They provided a warm and welcoming home from home for my cheeky little pup, and I could see she would have been happy to stay there forever (if I would allow such a thing!). The sitters have similar high energy levels and positive outlook as my dog, so were matched very well. I felt that having a dog around really added to the enjoyment of their day, it didn’t present any sort of a chore for them. Their house is open plan, perfect for zoomies, and their garden full of interest n good sniffs. I would like to stay there myself, never mind my dog ;)”

“Barney has been really well looked after today, he was very relaxed when I left and very relaxed when I arrived to collect. Heather took great care to get all the information about Barney before the booking which gave me great peace of mind. I’ll definitely be checking Heather’s availability the next time I need someone to look after Barney 🐶”

About: I've had dogs for most of my life, I've had them from 7 weeks right up until 16 years old, they're special creatures and I wouldn't be without them. My own dogs are treated with love and respect and I'll look after yours the same way I look after mine. The prices I charge here on Rover reflect the fact that Rover charges 15% of the fee. This is perfectly reasonable, but to ensure the fees reflect the time, care and attention I give your dog I have to include the cost of the fee in my charges. I'm semi retired, when I do work I work from home, so I'm available most of the time, the dogs get walked at least once a day, often twice, usually in Wendover woods or Tring Park, but always with their safety and fun in mind. My house has a large double fenced back garden, no opportunity to escape from, the kitchen diner has big bifold doors so during good weather the dogs can be inside or outside as often as they please.

About: Hello to all the lovely fur babies out there 🐩🐕🦮❤️❤️❤️ We are Mitesh & Fatima Cristina and we will love and look after your fur baby the same way that we look after our 10 year old senior citizen retired pet as therapy Jack Russell terrier! We have only one fur baby (or 2 if you have 2!) at a time so that we can give your fur baby, all the extra time, attention and love while with us! We believe in giving your fur baby the opportunity to experience all the things our JRT experiences, trips in the car to Chesham, central London, Milton Keynes, Tring so that they can do lots of sniffing (pup bottom sniffing allowed as long as mummy & daddy agree), unlimited cuddles, tummy rubs, trips to the garden for the odd roll or 2 ;-) home made doggy ice cream and cool off paddling pool in the summer, brushy-brushy time so they can continue to look awesome, long walkies , kisses/licks, and much more! They will get the full 5* treatment! 🐶❤️ We have a list of regulars from coton de tulear, cocker spaniel, collie, Westie, Maltese/shih tzu, whippet, Labrador, that we have been looking after for many years now and we are hoping your fur baby will become one of our regulars too! PS: if your fur baby has any special requirements to do with food, mobility, behavior, etc - please ensure this is all reflected on your profile and that you tell us all about it on our greet & meet. We hope to meet you and your fur baby soon 🐶🥰 We both work from home fully remotely and there is always at least one of us here at home. In this time, we take care of our own pups needs from meal times, walkies, medicines if required and not forgetting treat and garden times. Our home has a fully enclosed fenced garden and plenty of grass to run around in. We are often topping up water bowls, have a clean, wide space without any obstacles and will respect the owners requirements and needs so that their pet can adapt quite comfortably in our home.

About: I have had several dogs during my lifetime. Most recently I have taken to looking after neighbours, family and friends dogs for a day, weekend or a week at a time. My availabilty will depend on my work rota - I will be working 2 days per week from beginning of April 2025. I have taken early retirement but will be returning to work on a part time basis at the beginning of April. I will have 5 days per week where I may be available for dog sitting, dog walking. I have a fully fenced and gated large back garden at our property. Lots of good, long walks within a short distance of where I live which will normally involve a short drive.

“Thea, Theo, and their friendly dog, Poppy, made our Chilli feel very welcome. Chilli is a friendly but timid dog, but after the first day with this family, she ran in, wagging her tail. I would wholeheartedly recommend Thea if you need a dog sitter. Outstanding service and very responsive. Thank you very much, Thea!”

“Emily and her family were fantastic. We do worry about leaving our Roman with strangers as he is a large boisterous dog and most will naturally jump to the conclusion that he isn’t a nice dog because of his looks! But knowing that he would be playing with two labradors and Emily’s reassurance that he’d be in good hands made us feel confident in his stay with them. Emily also sent frequent photos and videos showing he was having a whale of a time in the paddling pool (when he usually hates water!) ? definitely happy for Roman to stay here again!”

About: We have owned and loved 3 lovely dogs over the years. Sadly they have now departed, however we long to care for and and offer our services where appropriate. We both love being outside and are always looking for new places to explore. We would welcome the opportunity to share our walking time with your best friend! Should your dog have any special needs then just let us know--we are very flexible. If there are any special places you would like your dog to visit then we would be happy to accommodate. We are both retired therefore we can be flexible. We live close to many dog walking areas including canal- parks & woods all close by. Anna M.
“Ania took care of my then 8-month-old toy poodle, Coco. It was the first time I had ever left him with someone, as I was going away for a week. Coco was quite a difficult dog at the time—he came to us with a lot of anxiety and just really wanted to be with us. He didn’t particularly like other people, so I was quite nervous about leaving him with Ania. But it was incredibly reassuring and comforting to see how quickly he adapted. Ania became like a second mom to him, pouring so much kindness, love, and cuddles into him. He loved sitting next to her and being around her, feeling her warmth and comfort. Even now, Coco is nearly 3 years old, and Ania is still one of the very few people he truly tolerates. He remains wary of strangers and new people, but Ania continues to be his second mom. I would highly recommend Ania to anyone who needs help with their dog. She’s not only a fantastic dog sitter, but also a genuinely wonderful person.”

“Andy has frequently looked after my GSP Isla, he walks her when I can’t, he drops in to feed her when I’m working away and if I need to stay away overnight ( or longer ) then he’s had her to stay with his wonderful two dogs. She goes crazy when she knows he’s coming and is genuinely fond of him and hardly leaves his side when he’s here. I’d trust her with him completely.”
