“Maggie was wonderful to work with! She was easy to communicate with from start to finish, sent photos every day, and was very attentive to our dog. We felt completely comfortable knowing our home and pet were in such good hands. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Yanhong took excellent care of our 8 month old puppy while petsitting. She was responsible, communicative and detail oriented. She also left our house very clean. We would absolutely use Yanhong again.”

“Krystle treated my 15 yr+ baby with love and care. She was kind enough to meet us ahead of the scheduled time to see if we agreed it would be a good fit long term. She left my place tidy and took great care of my sweet girl. Next time we will try a longer stay to see how she does. It was great having someone who understands the needs of senior pups.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a young kid and addition of owning my own dog, I’ve taken care of other dogs. I like dogs of any type and have experience walking bigger dogs I’m frequently open and have many responses to take care of my own pets. I can usually always be open when needed, especially given prior notice I have a fully fenced backyard in which the dogs can run around. I am better suited to take care of your dog at your home or surrounding area

“Kathryn was amazing with our 2 year old golden! She took her on multiple hikes and walks and gave her lots of snuggles. Sent photos and updates everyday! She took wonderful care of our home and it was so tidy and clean when we got back! She will definitely be our go to for Kona going forward!”

“Jodi was SO sweet w our dog! Lots of walks and play time. Always very timely and communicative. And she is very very clean! Jodi goes above and beyond to keep our home clean and tidy.”

“Andy is the best pet sitter any pet parent can ask for. We had to go out of the country for two weeks, the longest we’ve been away from home and pet. Andy took care of our home and looked after our cat during the entire time, playing with her, keeping her engaged and sending us constant updates and pictures of her. By the end of the stay the two had bonded which was really surprising to us considering our cat gets nervous when we leave. Highly recommend Andy and we’ll definitely want him over for any of our future pet sitting needs.”

“Mariia and Ethan were great! Excellent communicators, happy and well exercised pup and a clean house upon return. You couldn’t ask for anything more. They are responsive and responsible. We will be using them again!”

“Alice was amazing! She took great care of Brodie, sent us pictures, got him outside and he seemed happy. She gave him the medicine he needed, threw the ball and played with him and he looked all clean and brushed when we came home!! And our house looked great and clean when we got home last night, too. All in all Alice is great!!”

“Adrienne was wonderful with our two dogs! Her calm energy was a great fit for our pups, who need a loving and quiet home. I could tell immediately upon our first meeting that she was a kind and compassionate person, which put us at ease. She sent us cute videos and updates, which were fun to get. Our house was immaculate when we returned home, too. Highly recommend Adrienne!”

About: As a lifelong Belvedere resident and fellow dog parent, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with both your pet and your home. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages and temperaments, including anxious and reactive dogs, and I've spent years working alongside trainers using positive reinforcement techniques. Even if the dates aren't showing as available on this calendar :) As a fellow dog parent and lifelong Belvedere resident with deep roots in the community, I understand how much trust is involved in inviting someone into your home and caring for a beloved pet. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away. I strive to follow each family's routines, preferences, and pet care instructions as closely as possible so that your dog can remain happy and secure in their familiar environment. Whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routines, house rules, favorite activities, or bedtime rituals, I believe every pet deserves individualized care. “Once again Tania was absolutely amazing. We have a very spoiled, special needs cat and Tania always follows all of our instructions and requests with a smile. We also have a lot of plants that need attention - during a heat wave while we were gone she ensured everything was watered and still green when we returned. We can go on vacation and truly relax knowing our fur baby and our home is in good hands.”

“Brady was an excellent dog sitter for our dog. He was very communicative and provided frequent updates. He was also able to be flexible and administer some medication that we found out last minute that our dog would need. I can also tell that he gave our dog a lot of attention and played with him a lot! He was also very responsible with the house. We highly recommend him.”

“Jessica did a FANTASTIC job taking care of my two cats while I was out of town for the weekend! One of my cats has been having some urinary tract issues and needed medication every 8 hours and she took incredible care of him. I would definitely hire her again and I HIGHLY recommend her! She was extremely respectful of our home and our cats absolutely loved her!”

About: I’ve always grown up with having a dog in the house, and was asked my family and friends to feed, walk, and play with their pets (mostly dogs and cats)! I’m currently working part time, meaning I have a bunch of free time on my hands to keep your pup company. Even if you need someone just to pop in for a few minutes or take a long walk I’m your gal. I’m always aware of my surroundings and make sure the pup can become comfortable with me when I meet them! I will also ask additional questions in case I need extra clarification
About: Hi, this is Bryan! I have a 5 year-old Yorkie boy (and a cat). We go on walks 3-4 times a day, we clean our face, paws, pp, and butt after each walk. While my dog is a couch-potato when he’s with me, he enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, big or small. Hair brushing can be therapeutic. My professional background is Marketing, Branding, and Communications. So communication is a big thing for me. I like clear instructions, asking questions, providing updates, etc. Look forward to connecting and helping you with your fur babies! I’m currently a full-time stay home pet parent. So my schedule is highly flexible. It would be great if my 8 lb Yorkie can tag along, but not a must. Also, it would be ideal if I can reserve 3-5 hours/day away from your house during house sitting, to run errands or grab dinner with my husband. Let’s chat and find out the best schedule that works for us. Communications is key. I’m willing to accommodate your requests in taking special care for your pet because you know them the best, and each pet has their own likes and dislikes.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tiburon
Emma is wonderful. She took care of our two kittens while we were traveling, and you could tell she has experience with animals. She liked to interact with the kittens, provided helpful suggestions and information (especially to two new cat owners), and you could tell she really cared about them. We would feel confident reaching out to her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tiburon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tiburon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tiburon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tiburon. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
