âHalee was very welcoming and kind towards Teddy. He had a couple of long walks during his visit with her, which he loves to do. He was well-cared for and we appreciated her supportâ

âAdriana was amazing with my French bulldog, Kevin. It was clear right away that she genuinely loves dogs. She sent adorable updates and photos, and Kevin looked way too happy to be missing me. Frenchies come with big personalities, and Adriana handled Kevin like a pro. I really appreciated that she only takes on a couple dogs at a time, so each pup gets plenty of individual attention. I came home to a happy, relaxed, and very well loved dog. I would absolutely book Adriana again and highly recommend her. Kevin definitely got the doting on that he is used to at our home. Trust me, he would tell me if he didnât. Thank you so much for taking good care of my little Kevi!â

âMegan was SO GREAT!! I booked very last minute and had an unpredictable schedule. She was flexible and communicative. Best of all, she and her family gave our pup so much love and sent us updates. I felt confident leaving Lui in Meganâs care. Thanks so much Megan & fam!!â

âDerek & Stella were great with Benny! Very communcative, easy drop off/pickup and he came back tired. Would absolutely use them again and do reccomend!â

âEllen was amazing! I needed a last minute sitter for my dog Skipper while in town for work and Ellen was super accommodating. Skipper is an anxious boy and I was a little nervous to see how he would react. Turns out there was nothing to worry about! Skipper took to Ellen very quickly and once I was out of sight, he was perfectly happy to hang out with his new friend! I also received photo and text updates during his stay which put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Ellen to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring sitter!â

About: Shelby grew up with Labrador retrievers ever since she was 5 years old. She has experience with medication administration, ear cleaning, walking, and more. We have a 2.5 year old dachshund who we crate, potty, and leash trained. We are both dog lovers with some of our friends saying Shelby is âthe most dog obsessed person Iâve ever met.â We will strive to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while respecting any rules and boundaries you have in your own home. We absolutely love every kind of dog and would give your fur baby 5 star care âď¸ We both work from home, so our schedules are very flexible. We take our dog out 3 times a day for potty breaks and several walks a day. We can really take your dog out whenever is needed, as one of us is always available. Our home is very, very dog proof. Our dog loves to eat everything so weâre very mindful of keeping things tidy. Especially with larger dogs, we put away our dogs smaller toys, so that thereâs no possibility of them being ingested (thereâs the labrador experience haha!) we will be around and loving your pet 24/7 while theyâre in our care â¤ď¸
âEthan was excellent with our German Shepherd Rocky. He took a last minute request and our dog Rocky loved him! We received pics of the hike Ethan took Rocky on. Ethan was very punctual and communicated well. I also appreciate the one on one her gave our dog. Our pup was a happy boy! Thanks so much I am so very grateful đđśâ

âWonderful mother, daughter and pup, mulan, team! My pup is usually very shy with ew people, but she loves to join them on all the cool outings and adventures. I am so grateful for Ivy, my pup doesnât miss indoor daycare at all!â

âCarlotta is amazing! Our pup Ash loves her - Carlotta is clearly a dog lover. She was attentive to Ash, flexible with us on communication and pickup/dropoff, sent lots of cute pictures; everything you want when youâre away from your pup. Ash came home happy, tired, and ready to cuddle. Highly recommend booking with Carlotta.â

âMengying did a great job taking care of our dog Maple! She took her on great walks and to some local parks. She also shared a ton of great photo and video updates. She was easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with - I really appreciated her timing flexibility!â

âScott took wonderful care of Fred! Even though Fred was a little nervous and didnât sleep much, Scott kept him busy with lots of walks and play time. He also shared many photos which is always a treat! We are glad we found Scott and will definitely book him again!â

âAnother great stay at Bettyâs! Coco can be anxious and hesitant with new people and dogs, but Betty is great at working with Coco so she feels comfortable. This was the second stay with Betty and Coco was so excited to go in when we arrived!â

âBandit LOVES Diana and itâs easy to see why. Sheâs so warm and takes such good care of her. Bandit is always eager to run into her place. Highly recommend.â

âYasmim and her wife took great care of Lua for the day! I could tell they really liked her, and her them! Yasmim was communicative and sent lots of updates. 10/10 - would recommend â¤ď¸â

âWhen our dog sitter had to cancel at the last minute, Dylan came to the rescue! With almost no notice, he took in our pups and took such great care of them. I canât say enough great things about Halee! Leaving Paco with someone new is never easy, but she immediately put my mind at ease. She stayed in touch throughout the day, sent me updates and pictures, and made me feel like Paco was being cared for by a family member rather than just a sitter. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and wanted to make sure he was comfortable and happy. Knowing he was in such good hands allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away. Iâm so grateful we found Halee and will absolutely be booking with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative to watch their pup.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tiburon commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
