“Stanley loves Adriana! Stanley is a senior dog with health issues & Adriana handles it all with confidence & is an excellent caregiver! He loves her space & his tail wags say it all. Definitely a gem!”

“Halee was very welcoming and kind towards Teddy. He had a couple of long walks during his visit with her, which he loves to do. He was well-cared for and we appreciated her support”

“Megan was SO GREAT!! I booked very last minute and had an unpredictable schedule. She was flexible and communicative. Best of all, she and her family gave our pup so much love and sent us updates. I felt confident leaving Lui in Megan’s care. Thanks so much Megan & fam!!”

“Our 4 month old puppy had a great time doing a day sit with Ellen! She is usually shy but took to Ellen immediately, and Ellen was helpful and communicative throughout the whole process.”

“Derek took care of our dog Hobbes while we took a day trip to Napa. He was super easy to coordinate with, and took great care of our pup. Hobbes came back happy and content. We will gladly have Hobbes stay with Derek again, and already plan to do so on an upcoming trip!”

“What a wonderful experience for our dogs Laffy and Layla. They were welcomed so warmly by Miriam and felt right at home. Miriam is so friendly, competent, knows what she is doing - even with a quite shy and a very anxious dog. Her dog is so super sweet and got our big boy to quickly fall for her. All was relaxed.”
About: Shelby grew up with Labrador retrievers ever since she was 5 years old. She has experience with medication administration, ear cleaning, walking, and more. We have a 2.5 year old dachshund who we crate, potty, and leash trained. We are both dog lovers with some of our friends saying Shelby is “the most dog obsessed person I’ve ever met.” We will strive to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while respecting any rules and boundaries you have in your own home. We absolutely love every kind of dog and would give your fur baby 5 star care ⭐️ We both work from home, so our schedules are very flexible. We take our dog out 3 times a day for potty breaks and several walks a day. We can really take your dog out whenever is needed, as one of us is always available. Our home is very, very dog proof. Our dog loves to eat everything so we’re very mindful of keeping things tidy. Especially with larger dogs, we put away our dogs smaller toys, so that there’s no possibility of them being ingested (there’s the labrador experience haha!) we will be around and loving your pet 24/7 while they’re in our care ❤️
“Wonderful mother, daughter and pup, mulan, team! My pup is usually very shy with ew people, but she loves to join them on all the cool outings and adventures. I am so grateful for Ivy, my pup doesn’t miss indoor daycare at all!”

About: Every dog is special and has their own needs and ways of communicating. I take care of each and every dog with the utmost care and love. Your dog will have a safe, adventurous, and loving experience with Megan and Bodhi. From a comfortable night's sleep, either on my bed or on a dog bed nearby, to multiple daily walks and adventures, your dog will look forward to spending the day or evening with us. I have a 100% repeat customer rate so far. I am currently working from home, and I have the flexibility to walk your dog multiple times a day. When we are not walking, I offer a quiet, restful space for your dog to unwind. I live in a dog-friendly apartment complex. While I do not have a yard, my home is a short walk away from walking trails, fire roads, and a local dog park (where your dog would stay on leash).
“Scott took wonderful care of Fred! Even though Fred was a little nervous and didn’t sleep much, Scott kept him busy with lots of walks and play time. He also shared many photos which is always a treat! We are glad we found Scott and will definitely book him again!”

About: I specialize in small dogs (up to 30#) and provide a cozy, calm home environment, where they get plenty of individual attention, playtime and affection.. I also have experience caring for Senior dogs, and understand the extra patience and gentle care that they sometimes need. I’m comfortable administering medication and following special routines to make sure older pups stay comfortable and well cared for. I treat every dog like it’s my own, so you can feel confident that your little one is in loving attentive hands. Your dog will be our only guest unless you have two dogs in your family and that’s the only way we’ll have multiple dogs. Your pet will never be left alone! I’m a retired nurse so my schedule is open and flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine allowing me to give dogs in my care plenty of attention throughout the day, including walks, playtime and cuddle time. I can easily accommodate medication schedules, and each dog’s routine. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are my top priorities when caring for dogs. I provide a secure, pet-friendly home where small dogs can relax and feel comfortable. I keep pet parents updated with messages and photos while they’re away. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving space where dogs feel cared for and right home. I know how expensive pet care can be so, as a courtesy, I keep my Rover prices as low as I can. Hope it helps.
“Ethan was excellent with our German Shepherd Rocky. He took a last minute request and our dog Rocky loved him! We received pics of the hike Ethan took Rocky on. Ethan was very punctual and communicated well. I also appreciate the one on one her gave our dog. Our pup was a happy boy! Thanks so much I am so very grateful 😊🐶”

“Will and Flora are great! We left out pup at their place for doggy daycare and she was well cared for and happy. Will and Flora are responsive, responsible, and kind. Would certainly do it again.”

“I am so grateful that my dog was watched by Betty. My dog seemed to stay and was trying to leave with me. I thought I might get a call to get her. I never did get a call. Betty had patience with her and she (my dog) stayed The whole time. Thank you again Betty.”

“Matt has been so wonderful with our miniature dachshund Winston! He’s having some separation anxiety and finding Matt has been a god send! Winston comes home totally happy and is clearly getting lots of love while they hang! Matt is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. Can’t recommend him enough!”

“Kelvin is VERY affectionate and caring towards all the pups he takes care of! My dog loves going to Kelvins and whines when it's time to leave ("grandparents syndrome"!!) He takes several pics, spend alot of time at the parks and walking the dogs. I highly recommend Kelvin to anyone needing either long-term or short-term care.”

I can’t say enough great things about Halee! Leaving Paco with someone new is never easy, but she immediately put my mind at ease. She stayed in touch throughout the day, sent me updates and pictures, and made me feel like Paco was being cared for by a family member rather than just a sitter. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and wanted to make sure he was comfortable and happy. Knowing he was in such good hands allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away. I’m so grateful we found Halee and will absolutely be booking with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative to watch their pup.

We felt so comfortable leaving our 4 month old pup with Adriana for her first doggie daycare experience! Adriana was able to make our anxious pup feel right at home, gave her all the attention she needed and kept us updated with photos. She has a perfect set up with a fenced yard and a park across the street for walks. We will definitely use her again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
