“So far I can confidently say Adriana and Derek made me feel the most comfortable yet, leaving Rocco at their house under their care. Not only is their set up perfect for dogs, they genuinely care for your pet and treat them as well or better than your own. Rocco came home happy and tired. I look forward to hiring them again soon feeling secure in the time and effort they offer my dog. Very grateful I found them.”

“Ellen was amazing! I needed a last minute sitter for my dog Skipper while in town for work and Ellen was super accommodating. Skipper is an anxious boy and I was a little nervous to see how he would react. Turns out there was nothing to worry about! Skipper took to Ellen very quickly and once I was out of sight, he was perfectly happy to hang out with his new friend! I also received photo and text updates during his stay which put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Ellen to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring sitter!”

About: Hi, I'm Diana! Your dog is family — and when they're with me, I treat them that way too. I'm a Mill Valley local and dog mom to a crew of my own (yes, all sizes — we don't discriminate). Our home is warm, active, and kid-friendly, with a yard to roam and some of Marin's best trails right at our doorstep. I'm also a certified yoga instructor, which is a fancy way of saying I bring a lot of patience and calm energy to everything I do — including caring for your pup. Whether your dog needs a leisurely neighborhood walk, a quick drop-in check, or a cozy place to sleep while you're away, I'm here and genuinely flexible. I know how stressful it can be to leave your dog behind, so my goal is simple: keep you updated, keep them happy, and send you home to a tail-wagging reunion. Mill Valley is my backyard. Your dog is in good hands. 🐾 🐾 Dogs — What to Expect First meeting: I always recommend a quick meet-and-greet before any booking so your dog can sniff out the space, meet my crew, and let us know how they feel. No pressure, just vibes. Feeding & routine: Your dog's schedule is my schedule. I follow your feeding times, portions, and any dietary needs to the letter — consistency matters, especially in a new environment. Exercise & play: Daily walks are a given, and I know Marin's trails well. Depending on your dog's energy level, we'll do neighborhood strolls or hit the trails. Yard time is always on the table too. Bedtime: Dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they're comfortable — couch, dog bed, or a cozy corner. I follow your lead on what they're used to. Updates: You'll get at least one photo update per day, usually more. I know you're going to wonder how they're doing — I just take the guessing out of it. 🐱 Cats — What to Expect First meeting: For boarding, I encourage a short drop-off visit first so your cat can get a feel for the space before committing. For shy cats especially, this makes a big difference. Feeding & routine: I follow your cat's exact feeding schedule, portions, and any medication routine without cutting corners. Cats notice everything — I try to keep things as familiar as possible. Settling in: Some cats warm up in an hour, some take a day or two. I give them full permission to hide, observe, and come around on their own terms. No forcing it. Play & enrichment: When they're ready, I engage — wand toys, lap time, whatever your cat is into. I take my cues from them. Updates: Daily photo updates, always. Even if it's just your cat staring at a wall — honestly those are my favorite ones to send. 🐾 Dogs — Safety, Trust & Environment My home is a lived-in, dog-friendly space — not a sterile setup, but a real family home where dogs are genuinely welcome. We have a secure yard, two dogs of our own who love meeting new friends, and kids who know how to respect animals and give them space when needed. For boarding, I keep a close eye on how dogs interact, especially during introductions, and I never leave them unsupervised until I'm confident everyone's comfortable. My two are social and easygoing, which makes the settling-in process a lot smoother for most visitors. I follow your emergency vet information and will always contact you before making any medical decisions. For walks, I stay on leash in unfamiliar areas and only let dogs off leash in designated spaces if you've explicitly okayed it. I know the neighborhood well and stick to safe, dog-friendly routes. Your dog won't just be watched — they'll be included. 🐱 Cats — Safety, Trust & Environment I have cats of my own, so I know how to create a calm, low-stress environment for a visiting kitty. We also have two dogs in the home — but cats who board with us have a completely separate, dog-free space where they can eat, sleep, and decompress without ever crossing paths with them. No shared zones, no surprise encounters. For boarding, I give new cats time to settle into their space before any gradual introductions are considered — and only if you're open to it. No forced interactions, ever. I keep windows and doors secure, know the hiding spots to check, and never leave food or anything potentially harmful within reach. Medications are given carefully and on schedule, documented so nothing gets missed. For drop-in visits, I treat your home exactly as you'd want it treated — tidy, secure, and undisturbed. I do a quick walkthrough each visit to make sure everything looks right before I leave. Your cat's comfort and safety isn't an afterthought. It's the whole point.
“Matt has been so wonderful with our miniature dachshund Winston! He’s having some separation anxiety and finding Matt has been a god send! Winston comes home totally happy and is clearly getting lots of love while they hang! Matt is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. Can’t recommend him enough!”

“Dennis was extremely flexible with a list minute day sitting appointment. Our dog is timid and fairly shy so Dennis was very conscientious about introducing her to the pack slowly. When I picked her up, it was clear she had become fond of Dennis. And when we got home, she passed right out. Thanks so much for taking care of Piki!”
About: I keep my prices low because it feels like the right thing to do. I specialize in small dogs (up to 30#) and provide a cozy, calm home environment, where they get plenty of individual attention, playtime and affection.. I also have experience caring for Senior dogs, and understand the extra patience and gentle care that they sometimes need. I’m comfortable administering medication and following special routines to make sure older pups stay comfortable and well cared for. I treat every dog like it’s my own, so you can feel confident that your little one is in loving attentive hands. Your dog will be our only guest unless you have two dogs in your family and that’s the only way we’ll have multiple dogs. Your pet will never be left alone! I’m a retired nurse so my schedule is open and flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine allowing me to give dogs in my care plenty of attention throughout the day, including walks, playtime and cuddle time. I only take in one dog at a time unless they come from the same family, in that case I’ll take two and discount the second dog. Additionally, I can easily accommodate medication schedules, and each dog’s routine. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are my top priorities when caring for dogs. I provide a secure, pet-friendly home where small dogs can relax and feel comfortable. I keep pet parents updated with messages and photos while they’re away. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving space where dogs feel cared for and right home. I know how expensive pet care can be so, as a courtesy, I keep my Rover prices as low as I can. Hope it helps.
“Caroline is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable about dogs! She’s also very responsive and warm. My pup looked so happy and relaxed when I picked him up and I look forward to having him back with her in the future.”

About: Hello! I am a long-time teacher and tutor (almost 30 years) while also looking after pets/houses over my school breaks. I always give the animals I look after the best possible care and of course lots of love! My experience includes time caring for pets with special needs, senior, x-large, 'difficult', and highly energy animals. I also have experience and am comfortable giving medication. I have cared for many of my own pets, and they lived happy, long lives. In me, you have a trustworthy, competent, and caring animal lover. Reach out with any questions you may have. If I am on a school break (I am a teacher) then I'll be at your home all day, with the exception of errands, etc. If not, I have regular school hours (8:00-4:00). At this current time, I am not hosting dogs, but I could host a cat. I have a small but cozy apartment in Corte Madera.

Mill Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
Krystle was not only great with Leo and Bailey, bonding with them instantly and taking them on a wonderful Sunday afternoon walk, but endlessly patient and flexible with their owner, who kept screwing up, and changing, the requested date and service times. Krystle was lovely to deal with and we would happily engage her again--and again.

We felt so comfortable leaving our 4 month old pup with Adriana for her first doggie daycare experience! Adriana was able to make our anxious pup feel right at home, gave her all the attention she needed and kept us updated with photos. She has a perfect set up with a fenced yard and a park across the street for walks. We will definitely use her again!
(I really appreciate your flexibility, Dennis, on the timing. I will endeavor to NOT need to do that in the future however.) Dennis gained my confidence almost immediately. This was our second time there, and yes my dog came home happy. But most important, she was VERY happy to go there! Ran me up the steps. YAY!
