“After a last-minute cancellation, I turned to Rover and found Krystal. She was incredibly accommodating on short notice, taking great care of my three noisy Chihuahuas while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and reassured me that they were doing well. I highly recommend her and will be reaching out to Rover & Krystal in the future.”

About: I’m a WFH dog mom in Berkeley with decades of experience caring for small and senior pups. I specialize in 0–40 lb dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra patience or medication support. I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8, starting with neighborhood pups and eventually my own dog, Silky, who was with me for 17 years. Since then I’ve had two more dogs and regularly care for friends’, family’s, and neighbors’ pets. I’m comfortable following detailed routines, giving oral medications, and reinforcing training you’re already working on. My goal is for your dog to feel like part of the family while you’re away. PS If your dog enjoys (or needs lots of) exercise, I’m happy to provide long walks or gentle runs. I'm currently working from home so have plenty of time to spend with your pups! I am available during the day on weekdays and can coordinate nights and weekends. I live in a single‑family home in San Jose with a fully fenced, pup‑proofed yard. Your dog can relax on the couch, nap in the sun, or hang out with my friendly 14‑year‑old poodle‑terrier mix. Because I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and can go out for potty breaks every 0–2 hours. I keep a close eye on introductions and always do slow, supervised meet‑and‑greets so everyone feels safe.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of different breeds and personalities since I was 11. I understand and respect the owners wishes on care, communication, and cost. Depending upon the care needs of thr pet(s), I work my daily schedule around. My daily schedule is tea, work, breakfast, work, lunch, work, coffee, walk, dinner. I work remotely for my start up (your life ........) Whether it’s dogs or cat, I adhere to safety guidelines of the owners: Guidelines on food do and don’t, walking schedule and paths, sleeping arrangements and timings.

“Devon provided the best care for our cat! She provided great detailed updates, and always kept us in the loop with her clear communication. She sent multiple photos daily, and we could tell Tater really warmed up to her during her visits. We are so thankful we found her and would absolutely book her again!”

Whether your dog is shy, energetic or needs extra patience , Ive worked with all kinds of temperaments and breeds. From daily walks and playtime to cuddles and calm companionship, your dog will be in safe, loving and capable hands. Retired, volunteering for a non-profit rescue organization, both onsite and from home. My schedule is very flexible. I can be available weekends and weekdays for sitting and boarding in my home. I live in a single-level home with a large fully fenced yard that includes a pool. During your dogs stay, I'll be there to supervise and ensure their safety and comfort.I have two friendly dogs-a small Terrier and a large Shepherd mix- who are respectful of other dogs.Dogs have full access to the house, and our neighborhood is very dog friendly , with a park next door for walks and playtime.
About: I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and have owned both cats and a dog as an adult, which was a Dalmatian—describe them as eternally young. :-) I'm an active individual whose current living situation doesn't allow pets so would love to help with yours! Those of you in the Larkspur/Greenbrae area may recognize me from walks on the local paths where I’m able to greet many dogs. While on vacation, I also seek out opportunities to contribute or volunteer for various animal causes, which you’ll see in some of my pictures. I'm retired so my schedule is generally flexible unless I'm out of town for personal reasons. Choosing a more limited radius at this point enables greater schedule flexibility, and to be close to local resources should a need arise. I will pet sit in your home so that your fur baby has all of their normal comforts and routines. I realize not all owners have a fenced yard for a dog so understand the importance of daily walks. I always welcome the opportunity to meet or chat about your needs in advance, so that you may advise of any behaviors for which I'll need to be more mindful. I care for fur babies of at least one year of age. NOTE: I only have experience providing meds to dogs, not cats. Due to allergies, I’m unable to sit in homes with cigarette smoke or with whole house carpeting (in bedrooms is fine). I'm a neat, tidy person who's very responsible--former homeowner.
About: I've been a dog walker for 6 years, and feel comfortable walking large dogs that have sensitive triggers. For cats, we have a safe home that is very cat friendly! I currently work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I'm able to give as much attention and love as your dog or cat requires! I have a fenced yard (with no house dogs) to keep your kitty and/or pup safe. I can carry out whatever specific needs you may have given the right equipment (if necessary). I'm also happy to travel to clients' homes and will follow any instructions you provide.
“Jackie care for our shy cat, Mick, over the Thanksgiving break. She did an exceptional job. Communication was frequently and clear and service provided went above and beyond! Will 100% work with Jackie again!”

About: Hello there! I am a loving pet caregiver and house nurturer living in Marin. I enjoy taking care of animals and people's homes as if they were my very own, with love, respect and better than you left it. I enjoy doing yoga, restorative yoga and adventuring in nature in my spare time. I just finished my 600 hour massage license and 6 month Reiki energy training! My hope is that these intuitive and intentional skills will help assist in a loving and nurturing approach to your pets care needs. I look forward to the opportunity to take care of your special fur-family member and home. Warmly, Adrienne I currently work at Good Earth in the Wellness Department and have early mornings, lunch (1pm) and evenings (after 5:30pm) open for feeding, walks and checkins! I currently care for pets overnight in their homes and do not offer boarding service at this time. You can rest assure that I provide a respectful and loving approach to all homes I take care of. 🏡 💛
“Kathryn is wonderful. We have appreciated her good humor and patience during the long (but very worthwhile) process of our dog Hildy getting to know a new person. We look forward to working with her going forward.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have owned 3 dogs in my adulthood including two mixed-breed rescues from Milo and a pure-bread yellow lab at 6 weeks. My experience ranges from puppyhood to senior dog care, as well as behavior issues including fear, resource, and leash aggression. I attune to a dog's needs and understand their body language and boundaries. I am responsible, reliable and have a deep love and respect for animals. I am a teacher on summer break, so my schedule is fairly open and flexible aside from occasional travel. I have reliable transportation and can accommodate last minute needs. My services include in-home visits (feedings, medications, playtime, companionship) and walks. I'm able to do a neighborhood walk or drive to a local trailhead for a hike.
About: While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I bring a lifelong love for animals and hands on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with pets and have been a dedicated cat and dog owner for years. I currently own an eight year old Chihuahua and three cats of varying ages. I understand how much love, patience, and attention our pet family requires. I’ve cat-sat for friends and am comfortable with feeding routines, litter boxes, walks, playtime, and giving lots of love! I would love to take on jobs for dogs as well! I recently started volunteering at Marin Humane Society, where I learned about animal behavior, care, and enrichment from professionals. My long-term goal is to study Animal Science and pursue a career in animal care. I’m reliable, compassionate, and always happy to tailor my care to your pet’s unique needs and quirks. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life! I take care of one dog and three cats every day, making sure they’re well fed, loved, and active. I feed them in the morning and evening, play with them using their favorite toys, and walk the dog daily. Caring for animals isn’t just a task for me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize throughout my day. It brings me a lot of joy and keeps me in tune with what pets need to feel safe, happy, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent so they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I make sure to follow all instructions closely whether it’s feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, or any special needs. I always treat the client’s home with respect and keep things clean and organized. I give pets lots of love, attention, and enrichment while also being mindful of their comfort levels especially if they’re shy or adjusting to someone new. My goal is to make their time without you as stress free and happy as possible.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mill Valley
Veronica was an amazing cat sitter for my boys! Her communication was excellent from start to finish—she kept us updated regularly and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she truly paid attention to our cat’s specific needs and preferences, which meant so much to us. She even went the extra mile to pick up some packages and deal with unexpectedly running out of their food. On top of that, she was kind and gentle with our cats and gave great daily updates. We would absolutely trust her to care for them again and highly recommend her services!

Genna was amazing! She took great care of my cat Nutella. She brushed her, played with her, fed her and gave her lots of love. She offered to meet before and noted down everything on Nutella routine. Also a bird got into the apartment and Nutella killed it, and Genna took care of everything, even vacuumed. Genna was amazing, I highly recommend her

Claire did a great job taking care of my cat (Kermit) while I went away for 10 days over the holidays. She showed up every morning to give him his wet food, clean his litter box, play with him and give him a few pets. Kermit was in good shape and spirits when I returned. Definitely recommend and would book with her again!

Sue did an excellent job caring for my two cats while I was away for 2 days. She came twice a day to feed them and take of litter box duty. She sent great photos from each visit that illustrated the trust the cats developed in her during this short while. This was especially noteworthy because one of my two cats is very shy and cautious around new people. She played with them each visit either an interactive wand/feather toy, much to the delight of the shy cat in particular. Sue has excellent communication skills. I had a very good conversation with her prior to the sit that led me to believe she’d be a good fit for caring for my cats. I’d love to have her return in the future when I need short-term cat care again.

They are absolutely outstanding sitters! From very first message, their communication was warm and professional. During the stay, I received regular updates with adorable photos and detailed notes about how things were going. It was clear that Mariia and Ethan genuinely cared for Mia pup as if they were their own! Thank you for going above and beyond, you are the best!

Sarah did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my cat while I was away! She followed all of the instructions I left perfectly and made sure to provide prompt, helpful updates that gave me peace of mind the entire time. On top of everything, she went above and beyond by bringing in packages that were delivered — such a kind and considerate gesture. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would definitely book with Sarah again!

Sian is a kind and wonderful soul. She took good care of our kitties and did a great job following special instructions for the house. We felt very confident and comfortable leaving her in charge while on retreat and the kitties will be having her back! So grateful and what a relief to have someone we can count on.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
