About: Friends and clients call me the animal whisperer - cats and dogs alike warm up to me quickly, and even nervous pets tend to feel safe and calm in my presence. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, from kitties and pups (including large breeds such as Dobermans and Great Pyrenees) to cockatiels and even flying squirrels. I volunteer weekly at the Humane Society, where I work with kitties who need extra skill and patience. Most pets feel safest and happiest staying where they’re comfortable, so I provide overnight care, walks, and drop-in visits at clients’ homes. About: I grew up with dogs and have owned 3 dogs in my adulthood including two mixed-breed rescues from Milo and a pure-bread yellow lab at 6 weeks. My experience ranges from puppyhood to senior dog care, as well as behavior issues including fear, resource, and leash aggression. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was little. I always walked my dog around San Francisco and around Larkspur when I moved. My neighbors constantly use me to walk their dogs or pet sit as well. I am currently working a 9-5 during the week. I would be available to walk dogs earlier in the morning or after 6. About: I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and have owned both cats and a dog as an adult, which was a Dalmatian, describe them as eternally young. :-) I'm an active individual whose current living situation doesn't allow pets so would love to help with yours! Those of you in the Larkspur/Greenbrae area may recognize me from walks on the local paths where I’m able to greet many dogs. While on vacation, I also seek out opportunities to contribute or volunteer for various animal causes, which you’ll see in some of my pictures. I'm retired so my schedule is generally flexible unless I'm out of town for personal reasons. Choosing a more limited radius at this point enables greater schedule flexibility, and to be close to local resources should a need arise. I will pet sit in your home so that your fur baby has all of their normal comforts and routines. I realize not all owners have a fenced yard for a dog so understand the importance of daily walks. I always welcome the opportunity to meet or chat about your needs in advance, so that you may advise of any behaviors for which I'll need to be more mindful. I care for fur babies of at least one year of age. NOTE: I only have experience providing meds to dogs, not cats. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke so that’s my only restriction.
