About: $40 off First booking, for NEW clients!! https://www.rover.com/sit/taraw21421 I have pretty much done it all! I've been around animals of all kinds since birth. I grew up around a herd of Aussies and a cluster of cats whom my mom couldn't refuse! :) I am Mom to 2 Himalayan cats who are my heart ❤️ I started pet-sitting when I was about 12. I have volunteer experience working at a museum for exotics, and I used to work at a boarding kennel for cats and dogs. I supervised large groups of various breeds (dogs/cats) during playtime! Prior to working for Rover, I was a dog-walker/pet-sitter for 7 years for Metro-Pet; (located in Dallas, TX). I regularly pet-sat for client's in their homes, when they were on vacation. Sometimes just drop-in visits, or walks, or both!! Many years ago, I was a Foster Mom for a Golden Retriever who stole my heart! I was a Corgi Mom for almost 9-years. I trained that sweet boy as a puppy. He was a senior before he passed, so I do have puppy as well as senior dog experience. I have experience with special needs dogs, as well as I am experienced with administering meds or injections if needed. I love going on walks with the doggies! I love cats just as much. I am currently fully available for drop-in-visits, or walks for cats and dogs! After the 21st of September 2026, I begin a FT job, and would only be available Friday-Sun. I will treat your animals as I would my own. With lots of patience and affection and snuggles ☺️ I am highly respectful of my clients homes. I am an extremely trustworthy and responsible person. I clean up after myself and leave the home looking as it did when I got there.
About: I have more experience with small dogs and cats. I used to play with small dogs a lot and I love their energy. I also love cats since I have two of my own. Looking forward to meet your pets. I can visit once a day on weekdays after 5pm. This visit can be playing for 30 mins, changing food or water. I can visit more often on weekend ( fri-sun) depend on your need. I prefer each visit will be as longest as 30 mins and I don't stay over night. I will make sure your pets have enough of necessities as I visit, like food or water. I make sure I can keep them a company and play with them to make them happy.
“Jackie care for our shy cat, Mick, over the Thanksgiving break. She did an exceptional job. Communication was frequently and clear and service provided went above and beyond! Will 100% work with Jackie again!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs in my house and care for as long as I can remember. I started officially pet sitting when I was 15 and feel especially comfortable with cats, beagles, golden retrievers, & german shepherds, although I truly love every pet! Familiar and comfortable with walking, feeding, grooming, & helping with pet medications! I work 9-5 on weekdays and 2-9 on Sunday evenings. I am completely available any weekday evening, anytime on Saturdays, and Sunday mornings! I appreciate detailed directions because I like to follow them to a tee. I try my best to help pets keep the same routine so as not to have to get used to anything new besides me.

“Carmen is attentive and a great communicator. She provided daily updates and pictures/videos and our travel was so much less stressful knowing our cats were well-cared for. She also goes above and beyond basic pet sitting. For example, our doorknob came loose and she brought her own tools over to tighten it back up. I will definitely book with Carmen again!”

About: I have volunteered at Humane Societies with all kinds of pets because animals are my passion, and have had pets for almost 30 years. I currently have had a wonderful cat named Latte for 6 years and I couldn't live without her. I am available during the day to walk your dog or take it to play at a dog park, or check in on your cat and give it plenty of love, food, and attention. I make sure the pets I look after are cared for like my own, and their safety, comfort, and security are a top concern of mine.

“Paula did a wonderful job looking after our cat while we were away. She sent timely messages and pictures, played with our normally shy cat, and even made sure all was well in our home while we were away. We will certainly contact her again for our next trip.”

“Awesome pet sitter! She took care of my two cats including one with diabetes that needs twice daily insulin shots. They were so calm and happy when I came back from my trip!”

“Wenjie did a great job taking care of Brody. Brody usually shies away from new people, but he became friends with Wenjie quickly! Wenjie treated both our dog & our home respectfully and I will definitely seek him out again when the need arises. We were kept fully informed after every visit. It made us feel like Brody was in very capable care, leaving us able to relax and not worry at all while we were away. Definitely a 5 star experience! Thanks again, Wenjie!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - El Campo
We absolutely loved having Rachel look after our cats. She went above and beyond for our boys, even buying litter and new toys for them, and was incredibly attentive to their needs the whole time. We got thoughtful updates, and it was clear they were very comfortable with her. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and a clean space. We’d 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter. 🐾💛

They are absolutely outstanding sitters! From very first message, their communication was warm and professional. During the stay, I received regular updates with adorable photos and detailed notes about how things were going. It was clear that Mariia and Ethan genuinely cared for Mia pup as if they were their own! Thank you for going above and beyond, you are the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in El Campo. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
