Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work full-time but have the flexibility to work from home, which allows me to check in on pets, provide walks, or spend time with them throughout the day. Mornings and evenings are always open for visits, feeding, playtime, or walks, and I’m also available on weekends for longer stays or more frequent care. My schedule is easy to move around so I can accommodate each pet’s routine so they stay comfortable and consistent.

I always prioritize safety, comfort, and cleanliness in both my home and my clients’ homes. I follow all care instructions exactly as given, keep spaces clean and organized, use leashes and secure areas during walks, and make sure pets are never left in unsafe situations. I also keep in close communication so owners feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for. I have stayed over night in many of my clients homes, including one couple whom I never actually even met face to face!

Daily Routine: Feeding schedule, walk times, potty habits, and bedtime routine. Temperament: How your pet reacts to new people, other animals, loud noises, or being alone. Energy Level: Whether they’re active and playful or more low-key. Medical Needs: Medications, allergies, sensitivities, or mobility issues. Behavior Notes: Chewing, barking, reactivity, separation anxiety, or anything to watch out for. Training & Commands: Words or cues they know and anything you're actively working on. Social Preferences: Whether they enjoy other pets, prefer space, or need slow introductions. Fears or Triggers: Thunderstorms, fireworks, vacuum cleaners, certain people or noises. Favorite Things: Toys, treats, games, cuddle preferences, and comfort items. Emergency Info: Vet contact, emergency plan, and any special instructions. Do & Dont's: Either inside your home or interacting with people; no jumping, no going on the couch, etc.

A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and following their normal routine. I start the day with a cheerful check in, fresh water, breakfast, and any medications or special instructions you provide. Throughout the day, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, play, and potty breaks or walks. I send regular photos or message updates (if you want) so you always know how your pet is doing. In the evening, we wind down with snuggles, calm play, or a final walk before settling in for the night. I tailor activities to each pet’s energy level and personality. Some of our favorite things to do include: -Exploring the neighborhood, letting them take in all the smells, and getting their energy out. - Fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, laser pointer or feather wand for cats—whatever your pet loves most. -Training mini-sessions, treat hunts, slow-feeders, or scent games to keep their mind busy. -For pets who love affection, we enjoy plenty of belly rubs, brushing, and cozy snuggles. -Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or a senior who prefers gentle companionship, I adjust our activities to what makes them happiest.

When I provide pet care, I focus on giving each animal the same comfort, routine, and attention they’re used to with their family. I work with pets of all kinds—dogs, cats, reptiles and am open to any other animals! I always take the time to understand their personality and specific needs. What sets me apart is my attentive, hands-on approach. I make sure every pet is fed on schedule, cared for according to their routine, and given plenty of love, playtime, and supervision. Whether a pet needs walks, litter cleaning, medication reminders, enrichment, or simply calm companionship, I adjust to whatever helps them feel safe and happy. My goal is to ensure every pet feels secure, relaxed, and genuinely cared for—no matter the setting and no matter how long you’re away.

We highly recommend Devon for any pet-sitting & dog walking needs! She leaves detailed notes and plenty of photos, great to have when we are away and want to make sure our dog is in good hands. We trust our dog is well taken care of any time we leave her with Devon, plus she is so easy-going and a pleasure to communicate with - so grateful we found her!!
Devon is wonderful! She’s walked our dog a couple times now and we’ll definitely be using her again in the future. She took great care of our pup, walking & feeding her dinner and even washed the dog bowl after!
Devon was reliable, punctual, and very thorough in her care for Brewster. She left great report cards and photos for every drop in which I loved to read every night while I was away and really helped ease my mind. She left things better than she found it and I came home to a very happy and tired out pup. I would recommend her to anyone.
