I'm retired so my schedule is generally flexible unless I'm out of town for personal reasons. Choosing a more limited radius at this point enables greater schedule flexibility, and to be close to local resources should a need arise.

I will pet sit in your home so that your fur baby has all of their normal comforts and routines. I realize not all owners have a fenced yard for a dog so understand the importance of daily walks. I always welcome the opportunity to meet or chat about your needs in advance, so that you may advise of any behaviors for which I'll need to be more mindful. I care for fur babies of at least one year of age. NOTE: I only have experience providing meds to dogs, not cats. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke so that’s my only restriction. I'm a neat, tidy person who's very responsible--former homeowner.
Information Jody C. would like to know about your pet
Learning an animal's preferences and routine is key to a successful pet sit arrangement. That includes food, feeding times/amounts, any medical considerations, walking times, etc.
A typical day
It, of course, depends upon the type of animal and their capabilities. For any dog, one needs to know their preferences, especially for working class dogs. They all look for a purpose and need a mechanism for channeling their energy, constructively. Good walks and/or hikes is key for an active dog breed, while shorter, less strenuous walks may suffice for others. Some dogs may be ball focused while others just love to sniff while walking. I'd need to learn your animals preferences. Cats need stimulation and I used toys to help channel that. Some cats love to stare out the windows to see the birds, etc. flit by.

Pet care experience
I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and have owned both cats and a dog as an adult, which was a Dalmatian, describe them as eternally young. :-) I'm an active individual whose current living situation doesn't allow pets so would love to help with yours! Those of you in the Larkspur/Greenbrae area may recognize me from walks on the local paths where I’m able to greet many dogs. While on vacation, I also seek out opportunities to contribute or volunteer for various animal causes, which you’ll see in some of my pictures.

Reviews

Jody was amazing! She is very responsible and easy to work with. She is prompt in communications and very responsive in following updates and communications. She is personable and kindly. She took very good care of our dog who has separation anxiety history. I appreciated her daily updates and photos keeping us apprised of how it was going. This was our first sit date with her and she was gentle in allowing the dog to set the pace he was comfy with in accepting her given his anxiety issues. When we came home the house was spotless and she even washed the sheets and towels and put them back on the bed/bath. Also our dog was calm and obviously well cared for. You could not ask for a better pet sitter. Marvelous!

Happy dog, happy mom! Jody was terrific.

Jody was great with our senior dog and taking care of our home. She was conscientious and kind. Much appreciated.

Jody was amazing! From the moment I met Jody, I knew my dogs would be in good hands. She asked great questions, followed up with me and kept me apprised while we were away. We found the house cleaner than we left it. Dogs were well taken care of. Already planning on rebooking her. Get Jody if you can!
