“Rosie stayed with Tim for a few nights and I know that she was well taken care of. I received plenty of pictures and updates during the stay. Will definitely book again in the future.”

“Definitely booking again! We had our dog boarding with Jerica and it was GREAT! I usually get very anxious leaving our dog with someone so trust me when I say you won’t regret it! Jerica is very trustworthy, she knows what she’s doing. I really appreciate her love and patience with all dogs!”

“Amrita and her husband were lovely, sending periodic updates and pictures of Rux’s stay (he’s an anxious little guy). They were especially amazing when my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked the next day. Offering to keep Rux and manage as they had another stay overlapping. It was such a relief they were so flexible and accommodating - grateful to have booked them.”

“Cheyenne took amazing care of my cat while I was on a trip! I got daily updates with pictures and letting me know how he was doing. She loved on him like he was her own. He didn’t want to leave with me which means he had a great time!”

“Renada is a great caretaker. My experience has always been amazing and she really loves dogs. She has given her all to take amazing care of my dog and I could not be happier with her services.”

About: I'm a veterinary technician, I have 20 yrs experience in taking care of dogs and cats. I am CPR certified and I can administer medications if needed. Besides my medical background as a animal lover, I can offer great companionship to your best friend while your gone. I currently have a 7 month old Australian shepherd who loves to play and can also offer friendship. I've been taking care of my friends and family's pets while they go on vacation since I was 19 yrs old. I'm confident in my ability to take care of dogs. I'm currently not working and staying home with our kids and animals. I walk our dog in the morning then hang out the rest of the day, my kids play with our dog. I live on 5 acres but we have fenced off an area behind our house for our dog and goats. I have a plastic kid pool to help them stay cool in the summer. I typically feed my pets twice a day and a treat mid-day. My house can get pretty loud with my kids yell and screaming when then play. My kids are 10 yr (son) and 9 yrs(daughter) old, I have a husband who loves to play with the kids and dog, it can get a little crazy at our house. I also have a 7 month old mini Australian shepherd, she is a shy girl at first but then gets crazy when she decides she likes you. I have 5 cats some like dogs and some tolerate them and just judge. I also have 2 goats in the backyard, they are very nice but will give a warning if something happens that they don't like. All my pets have vaccines and have been dewormed.
“Princie is great with my dog. Princie was so accommodating and patient to my questions and inquiries. My dog is very comfortable there with boarding as she gets anxious and nervous in new environments and people. Princie ensured she was comfortable and able to settle in well, along with their dog as well. Clean and tidy home. So glad to have found her. Will definitely be using Princie again very soon!”

“She kept me posted with texts and pictures of my dog. He had never been boarded before so I was concerned about leaving him. Everything was good. I would use Megan again for she proved to be a great sitter.”

“Kari and the entire family were amazing, as always! Our senior cat, Bella, got lots of love and attention. She also came home well fed, which says a lot at her age! She is clearly very comfortable and well cared for in their home. Highly recommend!”

“Our girl was so happy staying with Cathrin for the holidays! It was her first long visit away from home and Cathrin provided excellent care and communication throughout the entire visit. Highly recommend.”

“Miho is so good with Bailey. He clearly likes her, and he's not fast to trust and like people. She is very communicative and trustworthy. She is good at building a relationship with Bailey and meeting his needs beyond the basics of food and water.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Shevell! Her and her family took such amazing care of my Jack Russell while I was away, and I could tell from the moment we met that they truly love animals. They were super communicative, sending daily updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. My dog came home happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved. It’s such a relief to know I have someone trustworthy and kind to rely on when I need a sitter. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!”

“We had a great experience with Onel. He was able to understand our dog shy personality and slowly introduced him to the pack, our dog was happy and had a great time. We had great communication and we could defenitely tell that he has a lot of experience. Thank you”

“It was Sonic’s first time staying at a sitter’s place, and Heather reassured me that he would be fine. I was impressed with the meet-and-greet and decided to try boarding him there. The whole family is dedicated to ensuring that our puppy has a good time. Their friendly dogs, Winnie and Charlie, added to the positive environment. They kept me updated with requests for updates and sent a picture, and Sonic's relaxed expression said it all. I will definitely use Heather again in the future. I also want to mention her son, who was incredibly helpful. He assisted us in assembling and disassembling the crate, and he is such a kind person.”

“Katherine took great care of my pup Denali while I was away for the weekend! She provided pictures/updates of Denali playing with her dogs in the backyard and being himself in the house. Would definitely recommend Katherine!”

“Janie went above and beyond to make sure our dog, Kylo, was well cared for and loved while we were away. This was our first experience having Kylo overnight with Janie and we will 100% turn to her again in the future for our Rover needs! I got regular photos and videos of Kylo having the best time. Janie is an excellent communicator who always responds to messages quickly, and is more than willing to be flexible with exact drop off and pick up times. Do not hesitate to leave your pet with Janie — we can’t wait for Kylo to stay there again!”

“We’ve used Winston two times (a longer trip and a shorter trip). Our large Golden Doodle has enjoyed his time there and he’s come home happy. Very pleased with Winston’s service!”

“We were in a bind and needed a sitter ASAP. We are so happy we left our baby with Keri C and family. We could tell that our pup was very happy with them. We will use them again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Taylor
Hannah was amazing with my dog, Theo! She provided daily pictures and videos along with daily updates on how he was doing. She made sure he felt safe and loved while we were away, made sure he had plenty of exercise, and created a safe space for him to befriend her dogs. Would highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a caring babysitter for their pup!

Kristen was so nice and helped watch our dog on short notice over the holidays. She stayed in clear communication and even watched our dog longer than originally planned due to flight delays. We picked up a happy dog and would definitely reach back out to Kristen again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
