About: I’ve had dogs since childhood and have been the go-to dog sitter in my friend group for years. Waffles is a friendly, boundary respecting dude who is the “my dog NEVER likes other dogs” exception for more people than I can count. If your pup requires exclusive attention Waffles is more than happy to stay with a friend while I’m with your pet. Happy to talk about any special needs or habits your dog has! I work most days from home so if needed I can be with your pet most of the day (I may leave for things like meetings, grocery trips, a workout, or breakfast/lunch/dinner with friends), sittings that require me to be in the home with the pet 24/7 while you are gone will incur a small extra charge per day. Waffles is content with either playful dogs or sleepy friends, he tends to go with the flow and is happy to just lay around in the sun if that’s your pet’s vibe. I can do multiple walks per day but in very harsh weather I will keep both their safety and mine in mind and talk to you about adjusting walk lengths and times to keep everyone safe and happy. Waffles eats twice a day and is used to eating in a separate room if needed when around other dogs. We have a walk in the morning before the day starts and a few treats when we get home. He gets brushed every few days so I can also provide that for your pet if requested. Bowls are rinsed and refilled with water daily and washed well with soap and hot water every few days. Your pets are more than welcome to sleep in the bed with me if that’s what they are used to, and I love to work from a couch while they nap. I have worked with many clients whose pets have specific meal needs and medication plans (pills, injections, hiding supplements in food, the whole nine). We also typically have an evening walk as well, as long as the heat isn’t too bad and his paws are safe on the concrete. Happy to discuss any specifics for your babies!
“Ann came to our rescue, and she must be a cat whisperer as she was able to get pics of our Fuzzball, who normally hides in the deepest corner when hearing an unfamiliar voice!”

“I had been searching for a reliable sitter for a while and after a couple of horrible incidents I decided to search on the Rover app. Mell has been amazing with my dogs! They absolutely love her and I can tell they have fun when she comes over. She's punctual and reliable. I love all the photos she sends too of my babies smiling faces. I will be contacting for drop in visits again.”

“Beth is excellent with the dogs and easy to communicate with. We've trusted Beth with watching our dogs on a routine basis, and we are excited to continue working with her. Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth did an amazing job cat sitting for my 3 cats! She took such great care of them! She was great at communicating too!! Everything looked great when we got back home after long trip!! Thank you so very much!!! We will definitely rebook with her in the future!!”

“Rebecca is amazing! She took great care of both my dog and cat. All the instructions I provided were followed (even the quirky needs of my cat) and she maintained a consistent schedule for them while i was away. Both my pets warmed up to her early on and I can tell they felt taken care of and actually miss her. Rebecca went above and beyond by loving on my fur babies and even took care of extra things I did not even mention. Thank you Rebecca!”

“Ginny took such good care of our cat while we were away. She made sure he had everything he needed, spent quality time playing with him, and kept his litter boxes as neat as a pin. This was our first time leaving Pablo since we got him, and it was reassuring to have an experienced cat person like Ginny watching over him. We will definitely have her watch Pablo again!”

“I appreciate the help I have received since July 2025 with the drop ins for my fur babies to go potty. With out Tinisha's acceptance I would not have been able to start my new job. Lots of hugs and thank you!”

“Sara took amazing care of our cat and reptiles while we were away. We felt very comfortable with her coming into our home. She's trustworthy and very easy to communicate with. She's also very flexible when it comes to what time you need her to come do the visits. We would definitely trust Sara with the care of our animals in the future.”

“Kellie was absolutely phenomenal. The moment Kellie came over to meet my pets, a good two weeks before my travel, I knew my fur babies would be in trustworthy, caring and knowledgeable hands. Kellie made sure she understood the needs of both my animals and understood what was needed to make sure they felt safe and loved in my absence. Kelli checked in with me multiples times a day, letting me know what was going on. She also went above and beyond what was required of her, from making sure my garbage cans were on the curb for pick-up day to watering my plants. If you are on the fence with using Rover to care for your pets while you are traveling or at work, I get it. I was too, but rest assured that will Kellie your cherished fur babies are safe and taken care of, and your home is not at risk.”

“Very great caregiver! Andrea was very responsive and she took great care of my dogs. She took awesome photos and kept me up to date every step of the way. Ill definitely be rehiring her again!”

“Lorena is the best!!!! She took such great care of our two cats and really got to know each of their personalities. Would absolutely recommend asking her to care for your pets!!!”

About: I've taken care of family friends pets previously and also have my own pets as well and love caring for them and their cute personalities. Im currently working part-time and will have plenty if time to stop by and make check-ins weekly depending on the time needed i will work it into my schedule. i make sure that anytime i bring pets into an area all of the area is fenced and my eyes are watching them at all times.
“Lillian (Ruthie) took great care of our pup. She kept us updated with how our pup was doing and sent lots of pictures. We were really happy with how she took care of our dog and followed our instructions. We will definitely work with her again. Thank you!”

“Jordan went above and beyond to make our cats and parrots comfortable. It was such a relief to know someone was looking in on them and giving them some attention while we were gone!”

About: I've had cats for 20 years, mostly indoor only. I had a dog when I was a kid. As an adult, I've always taken care of friends' dogs but was only fortunate enough to have my own dog, Hank, for the past three years. I also have a turtle and love reptiles and birds. Which days I work can vary from week to week, but evenings (after 6) are always mine. I usually have whole or half days open. I can work within whatever framework you have. Inside or outside are great; I like to go out with dogs to play rather than just letting them out. I'm comfortable with all sorts of pet personalities.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Taylor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
