About: I have taken care of cats and dogs (x-large to small breeds) for about 10 years. I've animal sat for my friends and family very often growing up. I also grew up with two cats and have lived with a dog for years. I have 7ish years of veterinary experience and know how to administer medications (including insulin). I also was a zookeeper in Arkansas and Oklahoma for a range of animals including big cats, bears, small mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians. After working at the veterinary clinic in Steamboat, I go home to feed my own cats. After that, I will have the availability to feed, walk, and medicate animals, and spend the night if needed. I will ALWAYS make sure there is fresh water, a clean litterbox, and a clean living area for my animals and the animals I'm watching. I am a very clean individual who values pet's safety and cleanliness.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. I have more experience with English bulldogs and their cleaning and maintence routines, but I love all dogs the same! I am currently working part time throughout all times of the day. My schedule varies from day to day, but I have plenty of flexibility. I walk the core trail almost every day and am interested in discovering new areas of Steamboat and would love to do so with a dog accompanying me!

About: Your pet will be loved and taken on whatever kind of adventure you prefer. Walking, hiking, skiing, or river time! Then, snuggling in the evening. I am a teacher so have the whole summer off to play! During the school year, my husband has a flexible schedule so between the two of us, we can take care of whatever your pet needs! Tell me all about your pets and any concerns you may have so I can ensure you’re comfortable spending time away from your pets :) Since 10 years old I’ve always been the neighborhood dog sitter, this has extended my whole life and into college as well. I’ve always had a family dog and cat so I know what it takes to care for them and the responsibility required. All these years of pet care has turned me into a huge animal lover so even as you miss them while you’re gone I can promise they will get full love from me. I’m currently working full time at the Resort but I can assure you I will make plenty of time for your pet! I will make sure your pet is fully attended to and loved! I think care for a pet should be centered around what you feel is best for your pet, I am flexible towards your pets needs. I have going on long walks, trips to dog parks or hiking trails, or just hanging out at the house to keep your pet company: any or all of these could be apart of my care for your pet. About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have always been an animal lover. I’m missing going on walks and playing with dogs since both of my dogs have passed in the past year. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to get out, play with & walk your pups! I’ve got a flexible schedule and it varies week to week a little so I can fit in some dog walks and pet sit too. I currently have no pets since mine recently passed so your dog would be the only one visiting. I do have a fenced yard area at my home that your dog can run around in. I also enjoy going for long walks with your dog too. 😁

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 13 years old and have previously owned a dog for over 16 years. I am excellent at training new dogs and am fully capable of taking care of their every need. I have experience with both large and small dogs and am confident handling either size. I adore both dogs and cats and will show the same love and attention to your pet as if it were my own. I have very flexible hours and can typically choose my own schedule, so I would be able to dedicate extra time and attention to caring for your pet and making sure all of their needs are met. I live in a pet friendly apartment with a balcony that is pet safe and have a yard as well as a park that is very close to where I live. Boarded dogs would typically go on walks 3 times a day unless preferred differently by owner and play time would happen regularly throughout the day.

About: My last dog, Arlo, was a jack Russell mix. I got him when he was eight months and he really was a handful. It was awesome! Some days especially in the beginning we were doing five or six walks a day. I lived at an RV resort at the time and it had a working farm. Our routine would give him tons of stimulation and socialization. Not only did he get to meet new dogs every day because of the campers, we also spent time with the farm animals like alpacas, goats, and horses. I was dedicated to making sure his needs were met as much as possible. He even learned how to ride on the golf cart. Sometimes I would put him on my lap so he could steer! The owners had dogs too so we would have daily play dates. Walking is a normal part of daily activity. I try to walk at least five or six miles a day if not more. This is why I want to walk your dog! It is win win. I am familiar and comfortable with verbal, non verbal and physical commands. On the walk I let the dog be a dog. I like to let them take a minute if they want to sniff something. I try to make the walk as fun, active, and engaging as possible. I lived in Colorado for a long time and was very active as a mountain climber and bike rider. If your dog requires different terrain I will go anywhere you want me to take them. I like to walk different routes if possible. If you want me to I can take your dog to the park, the trail, or the beach. I was a snowboard instructor for a few years and that taught me a lot of working with people on their level. That experience carried over into my dog walking. My friend took me to visit his cousin and they had four dogs. The dogs apparently take time to warm up to people but when I sat down all four of them sat around me like I was their owner. I have also watched almost every episode of the original dog whisperer series. If you have a high energy dog I can do longer walks if necessary. I have over 10 years of experience around pets and I worked in a boarding kennel. I am available last minute! I am currently working on writing a book and starting a business. I keep free time in the morning and after for walks. My schedule allows me to keep that time free. However you take care of your pet is how I do it. I believe it is very important for a pet to have a consistent routine so I try to mimic the owners routine as much as possible.

About: Hi! I love pets and I speak Spanish (yes! Dogs and cats understand me! 🐶😸). Our language is love. Your pet will be safe, happy, and well-accompanied with me. Here, I'll pamper them, care for them, and love them! I like to have fun. If your pet likes biking, running, stopping to observe everything on a walk, and being curious about bugs, great! We now have a lot in common. I currently work during the summer, but I have Sundays and Mondays to enjoy the city and the animals. They give me life and, why not, extra money for when things get slower. In September, I'll probably have more services and time to dedicate to what I love. I am very patient, loving, and respectful of both pets and their owners' instructions. My goal is to be a wonderful support. Currently, I can't have pets due to the health of the owner of the house where I live. But he feeds the birds, and I feed the neighboring cats that visit us. But dogs and cats have always been present in my life and are a fundamental part of who I am. That's why I'd like to start caring for and walking pets. I'll soon be volunteering in the city, but for now, having an income will give me a little more financial stability to achieve this.

About: I am an avid dog lover. Patient and responsible. I understand that your dog is your family and will treat it as such. I've grown up with dogs, from pitbulls to labs, for the majority of my life and I grew up on a small farm. I am comfortable giving medications and attending to special needs. The bigger the dog the better- I don't have a fear of any breeds and will treat each dog with the love I would give my own. If you are comfortable with it, I'll take your dog on hikes, to the dog park or just a simple stroll down the street. If your dog just needs someone to keep it company I'll more than happily just sit with it and give it all the pets it can handle.

About: I have two dogs my self and I’ve grown up with dogs. I am a teacher in town and I’d love to take care of your furry friend! I only serve a couple nights a week from 4pm-9pm and besides that I have all my days off. My night shifts are from 4pm-9pm, which is pretty short. The spring creek dog trail or the butcherknife park is where we go on our morning walks (our house is a couple blocks). I do have two dogs (Maple and Moki) that would be thrilled to play with your dogs. They both don’t have any aggressions over toys or food. In my house the dogs are welcome on the couches/beds, as it’s their house too. We have lots of toys, comfortable places to sleep, and trails by our house that we get to walk on everyday.

About: I can provide pet care in your own home! I have had pets my entire life and several years experience working in a veterinary hospital. I most recently worked as a veterinary technician at Pet Kare Clinic in Steamboat Springs, so I have extensive knowledge and experience caring for all types of pets. I am extremely comfortable administering medications or providing any other sort of medical care you may need. I can also perform baths and grooming if necessary. I'm happy to discuss ways to find the best schedule that works for you and your pets! My current work schedule is flexible so I can provide plenty of attention and exercise as needed. Depending on the day, I might be able to spend the entire day with your dog, or may need to leave them alone for a short time (typically I can avoid this). I have a backyard and a friendly 3-year-old border collie mix to keep your fur baby company. My home is very safe and comfortable, and I allow dogs on my furniture :) I'm currently working only part-time, so I will have plenty of time to hang and exercise your pup. I typically take my dog on at least one hour-long off-leash walk per day, so if your dog is behaved off-leash, this fits in with my current schedule great! I can accommodate leashed walks instead if necessary. I have a yard for early morning and late night potty breaks, and live right next to Emerald mountain so plenty of trails nearby. I typically wake up early and take my dog outside straight away, so we will usually start with an early morning potty break and breakfast. We can take as many walks as needed depending on energy level and I always love some snuggles in the evening!
